How much was that 4-inch drive shaft that you put in the demon? I have a Scat Pack with a 309 rear diff and I've already broke two or three driveshafts because they're all two piece so it definitely needs a one piece driveshaft and I just can't seem to find one that fits and affordable. It's tricky because i swapped it all to a 2013 charger

I can’t agree anymore! Probably a bunch of haters? Or a lot of people hate on reconstructed/salvage cars. They don’t need UA-cam’s money. They are probably making really good profit on these cars. They have paid alot for some of the cars over the videos, but just suck. You used to be able to steal cars from copart for peanuts. Wish it was still like that but too many people know about copart now.

With that power and weight of the car you MUST pre-load the driveline, get a hydraulic handbrake to hold the car while starting to slip the clutch to get the slack out of the driveline. Then release clutch and handbrake together and you will have waaay less problems with the launches/clutch dumps..

All sound advice you gave, all I can add is to try relocating things towards the rear and the obvious: get bigger tires.
Also, wouldn't a functional wing in the back create some downforce if setup correctly? That alone could make a noticeable difference.

Well the first an most important part is he upgraded the engine but never upgraded the drive train and axles. You can't just do one and not the other.
It works just fine for the stock engine but he's given it a lot more power so it's out of the "intended" power it had to handle.

They flow more than typical cylinder style mufflers, closer to straight pipe but obviously doesnt beat straight pipe.... But you retain less volume in terms of sound. And the tone is times to drop an octive or two. My 05 sti with the vortex muffler sounded silky smooth. Quiet at idle and decent volume at full throttle. And the tone, dear god it was pure ear orgasm.

One of the big things I’ve learned from tuning high horsepower engines like that you have to trick them to make them think that wide open throttle is sometimes as low as actually 5%. Then as your RPMs come up, you slowly bring your throttle percentage until it matches at a point where it’s not gonna shred the tires. From what I’ve seen with hellcats that’s usually around four grand before they can handle all the power. with all that extra power, you’re probably looking somewhere around five or 5500 before those tires and that chassis can handle 100%.

I pulled all the BMR steel bushings out of my rear cradle and went back to rubber. The vibration and the noise have no dampening through steel. Just wasn’t worth it to me. So for those who want to go from rubber to steel, your best bet is middle of the road…..urethane. Only problem is the cradle has to come out so the urethane bushings can be pressed in. Lee should have mentioned what Steel will bring or he didn’t know. Probably why it was chattering off the line, no give.

Put a set of 2023 Demon 170 rear wheels and tires on her like I did on my 2019 Redeye Widebody! They hook-up great!

Why do you dodge guys think everything has to come from some other factory dodge or a newer one or whatever. Why not just put a real set of wheels on it like weld or the like? Quality aftermarket is pretty much always better than oem when it comes to wheels in particular

Its not just a Demon its the first manual Demon and 1k hp. No way it was going to hook with that tire. But it was worth a shot and worth the watch.

The 3.09 is going to be harder on everything north of the diff. Plus it actually will make your gear splits closer. Also thank mercedes for the engineering.
