I reccomend running outside and on the soft surface, better for the feet, especially after injury(have had too many of them so I know :D).

Awesome to have you back! Still the most motivating UA-camr ever 💪🏽Thanks for always sharing the struggles. I am also struggling with golfers elbow right now, really annoying during beach volleyball. But as you said there is always something you can do. I now focus a lot on gainz in my forearms and wrists. Also strained an ankle at the same time. Gotta work through everything 😊 still the goal is being able to play pain-free volleyball with 40 for the first time since being 17 and being able to spike really hard with a massive vertical. Almost 3 years left 🔥 wishing you all the best with your recovery and your goals 💪🏽

Elk jaar weer Merijn! Veel gelezen en gehoord over maingaining maar ook voor mij vind ik het gewoon heerlijk om met doelstellingen te werken in zowel de bulk als de cut. Iets wat ik denk ik altijd blijf doen👌 maar de bulk laat ik nooit te ver gaan dan. Mooi dat je weer je vlogs oppakt man💪

I prefer the thicker look of my chest & shoulders when I'm a bit heavier, but feel I look better overall & feel happier when I'm leaner - just wish I could keep the upper thickness at the same time, the natty struggle is real 😂

Man bun is sick, I tried to grow for a few months this year but I backed out. Seeing myself on camera with the in between stage was too much to handle lol
@@MerijnOfficial haha yeah takes some time to get used to, but usually have it if waking up to exercise before putting hair products inside after shower, also hate getting it into my eyes and touching it constantly. For me it's a productivity hack too, as I tend to play with the hair if it's annoying 😅

I wear a hat, handband, or I cut off my hair lmao. I would look straight ahead because of posture. I'm not a huge fan of running on the treadmill because it is not great on your knees, ankle, and joints. It's a bit harsh, and it doesn't help you develop your own pace.

I had the same injury in january(golf elleboog) im from Belgium. And got great threathment from kinesist here. And some rest and also i dont do pullups anymore it makes the injury come back

Hey buddy! I also started a new training program last winter after having a chest tear and a golfers elbow....Technique focused, medium weight and high reps. Worked great but now I have an inguinal hernia that requires surgery😂 So even when we try to control all variables, life stil wants to fck us. I guess thats why consistency is key!
Rjght on.. it sucks but at least these days with all equipment available it’s easier than ever to keep training 💪 improvising

Bro doing all those different training activities will hinder your ability to put on muscle, making bulking pretty redundant, unfortunately the human body can only do so much and you can either excel at 1 goal or be mediocre at multiple. I would recommend checking out renaissance periodization, following the advice of dr Mike Israetel and the team full ROM I have put on so much lean mass (natty). I would definitely recommend you maingain if your goals are other skills and not building muscle, otherwise you can periodize your training into blocks in which you focus on developing 1 specific skill and put your other goals on the backburner. So for example you do maintenance volume and focus on running for 4-8 weeks then you do enough running to maintain your skill and switch goals for the following 4-8 weeks etc.
Certainly a good point. It's not my goal to be mr olympia though so combining the styles of training and not being "the best at one" is fine by me at this stage of my life! I agree with the periodization though and I'm implementing that already atm with my lifting/handstands
Goed bezig vriend! Merijn ik heb een vraagje. Ik ben nu bezig met mijn eerste bulk. Ik begon met 80 kilo (rond 1 april) en weeg nu 84 kilo. Hoever moet je gaan totdat je moet gaan cutten? Merk nu al dat ik het lastig vindt om wat zwaarder te zijn. 28 jaar en 1,85. Thanks alvast!
Cutten wanneer je te vettig wordt maat. We kunnen je bodycomposition niet raden adhv je statistieken.
Hangt er volledig vanaf wat je doel is en waar jij comfortabel mee bent. 4 kilo in 2 maanden is aardig snel aangekomen, dus daar zal nog niet erg veel spiermassa bij zitten,. Als je nu niet comfortabel bent zou ik eerst een mini cut doen voor deze zomer 4-6 weken, en daarna een langere en langzamere bulk fase
