    What's interesting is that when you eat a lot more food, your daily steps and NEAT go way up. So you can unintentionally create a deficit with more daily general movement.
    But people tend to be lazy and just want to cut calories vs. committing to walking 15-20K steps spread out over every day. It's actually quite easy if you microdose 15-30 min walks every 2-3hrs.
    Not only does this allow for more food consumption, but walking has no recovery cost on lifting at all. But once again, it all comes down to whether you like to move and be outside more vs just eating less.

Just wanted to let you know that I'm a fan and wish you all the best with your goals in life. Keep up the fantastic work! If you have the time, I'd love to see more videos from you. Great decision, Merjin! Been watching your videos from since student aesthetics. I would also like to share my experience with you all as well. Like you talked about Honey in this video. That it is a real food. I used to afraid of eating foods like this too. I used to consume 0 calorie cooking sprays, sugar alternatives like many sugar free syrups and powders. But at the end of the day, these processed foods are not good for our health at all.
    I got lot of intestinal problems. I got an infection in my gut from these artificial sweeteners that completely messed up my gut environment. I used to consume 0 calorie cooking spray, sweeteners and powders. My gastrointestinal tract has completely dried out because I was only consuming my fat from nuts and other things instead of real oils. This is the main reason why in today's world we are allergic to real foods like dairy, wheat (gluten), soya etc... that mother nature has given us. We are messing up with our healthy gut bacterias who are very responsible for our healthy Gut environment.
    Now I have changed all my habits and lifestyle following the example of our ancestors. I mean that they ate real food, regardless of whether it was high in fat or high in sugar. Such real food is not harmful in the long run if you eat it in moderation.
    To end this long comment, I would like to say that I have been living very happily without any health or mental problems since I stopped eating these messy foods. I started using jaggery and stevia instead of sugar or other sweeteners, using real oils like coconut, sesame, ghee and butter. Since then I have been using raw, unflavoured protein powder instead of Flavoured protein powder.

    Im super lean and shredded right now, my body is fighting back against exercise and going to the gym. I think this week I’m going to start a very long bulk because being shredded has drastically reduced the equality and enjoyment of my life. Unless you’re completing or just doing it for a short time to achieve a certain look for vacation or the summer it’s absolutely not worth it

    • @AZ-gs6hj
      @AZ-gs6hj 15 днів тому

      What body fat % would you say? I think the best to maintain is 10-12%. I've been lifting for around 7 years naturally and might be done with the bulking stuff. The amount of muscle you can build becomes so small, that when it comes time to cut, you lose the amount you gained. Just started my cut and going to get lean and then maintain that. I'll still eat in a surplus, but maybe 100-200 calories over. My strength also doesn't go up much during bulks so I can tell I'm not putting on muscle, just water weight and fat.

    • @The_Fitness_Vault
      @The_Fitness_Vault 15 днів тому

      @@AZ-gs6hj right now I’m around 5-7%. In body scan said 3 but that’s just not possible so I’m going to add a couple of points to that number. I think the best is like you said, 10-12-15%. Some people are going to find it easier to stay lean than others depending on body type and genetics so this can vary a little bit for some people. I agree that bulking is overrated once you have built a lot of muscle and made a lot of progress. But I think at my body fat and health right now at least a lean or clean bulk is justified for me lol

    • @MerijnOfficial
      @MerijnOfficial  12 днів тому

      Definitely not worth it being that lean. Genetics play a big part in how lean you can stay, and fat distribution also. I’d recommend going for a lean bulk 💪

    I did -9 KG in 8 weeks, 75kg right now at 6,1, probably around 12% BF, we look very simmilar . No cardio, everything done in kitchen. It was actually easier and less taxing like that than 2 years ago when i had shitload of cardio. The only think i added was some steps, +/-15miles every week or two depends of wether.
    - High Protein + Some Fat diet with low carbs (Ratio probably around 150-170g of Protein, 120-170g of fat and maybe 50-100g carbs at most) 1700-2000kcal/day, my maintenence kcal at 84,5kg was 2700~~.
    - Fasting
    - Hypertrophy workout every second day, last 2 weeks from that 8 of cutting i had deload after 4-5 months of heavy lifting.
