Yeah you’d have to go through this whole hassle to replace the screen. The screen is glued into the plastic front frame piece, and it’s not any cheaper to buy just the screen rather than the whole assembly. It’s also quite the pain to get the screen piece out of the frame, since you’ve got to heat it up to soften the glue and pry it out without messing up the frame
Yeah I’d say it’s pretty easy. If you’re careful with the flex cable tabs, then it’s pretty much just unscrewing stuff and reassembling. PSP’s are usually more prone to having something break when getting opened up
No, you have to buy the whole front plate assembly or a donor console. It seems there are difficulties with assembling the touch and lcd screens. I haven't found anyone successful in replacing *just* the screen.
@sattyaratowski6098 Yeah, it's kinda unfortunate it was designed this way. Although I think Sony never really intended the vita to be repairable to a large degree.
You’d just need a Philips PH0 or PH00 (preferably a PH0) and a smaller flat head or something that can pop the rear touchpad off as well as flick the flex cable tabs up
Yeah it can be done if applying some heat around the edges of the screen, just enough to loosen the adhesive. The problem being that the screen pieces aren’t much cheaper than the whole front assembly

Definitely gonna take 40-60mins to do on first try but definitely easier than a psp. Psp2000 took me 4 hours

I checked your store, but I dont see screens for the Vita 2000 listed on it. Do you have a recommended seller that I might be able to use for one?
I haven’t tried any new generic ones due to them costing too much. I get all of my screens from part-outs. I’d assume most generics are fine though
Where did u buy that screen and is it oem ? And if not is the quality good ?
The screen is OEM from a part-out that I did. I don’t sell too many OEM screens off and I believe the generic ones are decent quality (just expensive)
Is the quality of the screen the same or you can notice the pixel not that great?

Be careful not to tear the ribbon cables, some of them are very fragile.
I didn't see a screen for the ps vita 2000
The screen is fused with the rest of the front casing. It can be removed, but requires a hot air machine to do.
