The dispatch did a great job
Those radio guys and girls are radio active!
Caught this fire on Scanner Radio...dispatch got very busy, very quickly.
Great capture. Excellent visuals...Excellent Comms!
I have never in my life except back in the early wars years the number of 3, 4, 5 alarm fires in NY. I guess it is so congested with all types of occupancies crammed into buildings that are falling apart and have been renovated and patched so many times. As many old congested deteriorating buildings in NYC, it has to be impossible to maintain (enforce) any kind of regulations and safety measures. Dispatcher absolutely phenomenal!
The color of that smoke billowing out of the Market is not encouraging. A weird brown toxic looking cloud.
Wheres Kramer at to get these trucks there quicker using a shortcut!!❤
Lol
Listened live GREAT JOB TO THE DISPATCHER!!!!!
This dispatcher is amazing!!!!
Smooth dispatcher. Not hurried. Not excited. Just matter of fact like.👍🏻👍🏻
Great dispatcher doing a good job.
NYFD is simply the Best They can Drop a 3rd Alarm an it's More Equipment than most U.S.Cites On a third Alarm they can bring 400 Men Incredible with A Enormous amount of Man Power to spare
Sometimes it seems like too many cook spoil the broth.
What a great dispatcher!
That’s an impressive dispatcher
Great catch, watching this one hurt a little, worked that area for the better part of 25 yrs and have driven past those bldgs 1000s of times.
Outstanding dispatching!
That dispatcher is a rock star...
Jon Bon Jovi at the mic!
During the first few minutes it is easy to understand why this is a 5 alarm fire! Sorry for Christa, hope the insurance will pay for the damage. And in action again: the Command Post out of the suitcase at 1:35! I guess this piece of equipment is typical for the FDNY, no other Fire Dept. has it. At any rate, someone would have to explain how this thing works! Flashover at 10:35! All the best!
Oh, I forget: we also had one spectacular fire In Germany a week ago. Industrial fire in Berlin - Lichterfelde, the galvanization plant belonging to Diehl Defence was burning, took two days to put it out!
Jealousy is a wasted emotion !
@@25yrsotj Well yes, that's true - but what does this simple fact have to do with a 5 alarm fire? Thanks!
@@jurgenkuhlmann9194 you’re criticizing has everything to do with it ! If you’ve ever worked side by side with the FDNY you’d know how they operate and while they’re not running around like chickens without heads you have no idea of the interior layout of the supermarket and what’s burning and for how long ! But hey what does FDNY know ? 🤔
@@25yrsotj You are getting everything wrong here. I never chose to criticize anyone, least the FDNY. All I did was comment on what was interesting to point out. For example: this mobile Command Post: German Fire Departments have vehicles for that, marked with "Einsatzleitung" (Command). I suggest that you read my comment more carefully. Cheers from Germany.
Happy Memorial Day.Good dispatcher doing a job.
So this is basically a 6+ alarm fire
Great video. Thanks for no annoying play by play.
elite dispatching
Wow, dat ging snel, bizar…angstig ook…houten gebouwen misschien?…
What's the fast truck?
FDNY the best trained ,best equipped and hardest working FD in the world!!! I just love the way FDNY overwhelms the fire scene with men and equipment!! RESPECT BROTHERS!!!!!! Cn someone tell me what is a "fast truck"??
when fireman get trapped in the building the fast truck is the ones who go in and get them out. There are 6 firefighters with all their gear and SCBA and all the tools in case they are called to go so there always ready to go at any second
@@williammann5082 Thank you Bill
🎉superheroes in action 🎉😊
Great dispatching! There's so much more going on than dispatch handling the fire alone.
They're tracking changes in unit assignment, relaying radio traffic and moving units around the city to cover unmanned stations emptied out due to the run response, and notifying off duty personnel to man reserve units.
At the same time there are still all kinds of fires happening, traffic accidents, medical calls, rescues, you name dispatch is handling it. What a great way to make a living!
If you have a knack for multi tasking, a cool head in emergencies and are a good communicator, apply for an open position in fire dispatch. It's one of the best jobs in the fire service.
I've always wondered about 9/11 for that reason. So many had to respond, but you couldn't just leave the rest of the city alone. I really wonder about "other" calls that came in that day
@@alex-internetlubberthey called in every dispatcher they had including a few retired one.
They has so many special calls after the 5th alarm that they should have called a 6th alarm.
Great work by Brooklyn FAD 186!!
Tell fire alarm stop using term units there ompanys
Insane!
Any of the new newly promoted battalion chief on the job
Great Dispatcher for sure.......
Liked and shared
Saving the foundation in FDNY😂😂😂😂😂
Super tout le monde autour
Good job, I live on Cooper .
Thanks
That dispatcher is on it!
way to many non FD in work area.
Don't people ever notice at all these scenes how many firefighters there are always walking or standing around doing nothing ?
To the ignorant it looks like were doing nothing but in fact we all have jobs to do, we are not doing nothing were using every sense , every skill, every bit of training being the eyes and ears of our fellow crew members ever watchful for a change in smoke colour, density, direction ...for hazards ... for instructions ... waiting for our turn ... helping ... we never stop working
@@Aprilsraven629 Never stop working eh? Do you say that on night shifts when your getting paid to sleep on the job hidden away from the taxpayers eyes? Good old IAFFA gravy train.
@@Aprilsraven629 The ignorant ones are the ones who believe the firefighter hero BS! The media are guilty too they always paint firefighters as hero’s and sadly the dumb public (not all) soak it up.
Are there fans blowing air in, so the smoke is forced out?
Have they had Flashover Training recently?
Are they attacking the Rear fire from the Rear or they trying to get to it from the front?
Something tells me there isn't any water being used at all. SOP so far! Typical!
A straight stream of water being squirt blindly into the smoke with no idea where the fire actually is. Maybe they have been waiting for it to come to them from the Rear!
If ever there was a time for Vertical Venting, this is it!
Cooling the smoke with all those streams?
18:00 And they are accomplishing What?
They let it spread to the exposures! That's great! Go back to the beginning and see how small this fire was in this one-story structure.
I usually agree with you but I think earlier on the video there was a firefighter climbing the ladder with a vent saw.
😂
🐔💩🤡
🤏🍆
🚫⚾️⚾️
@@sonanddadchannelmostlydad56 #Well that shows you have a brain and know how to use it. Judging by how the smoke got worse out the front throughout the entire video, I don't think they ever made a roof cut or as usual, it didn't improve anything. From what they said, the fire was showing in the back so that's where they should have been focusing their attention. Fans to vent horizontally followed by a fog of water to cover everything.
@@sonanddadchannelmostlydad56 If you have ever found yourself agreeing with this JB guy than you must not be a firefighter. He is complete imbecilic spaz that spews hate at real ffs because he lost his wife to one. If you want to learn from the best watch David Decker or Mike Pertz. they are actual pros.
@@JB91710your a dick and troll. Always was. You have no idea of the difficulty and speed this fire presented the FDNY when they arrived . Listen to this operation . No other fire department can do this. Stay off the reply’s .
Dang, that's a massive incident. Great dispatch.
how does a fire get worst after the fire dept get there
