They are the gateway to immediate response. One of many reasons I served this country so all emergency responders can do their job and so well. Prayers to them, and the families who enduring this tragic time, AMEN!!!😇😇😇😇
Amazing description from dispatch; type of building, important construction details, who/what is listed in the building, where the fire is reported to be.
A video showing exactly why so many American firemen die at fires every year …. The madness of walking casually around a timber roof whist a considerable fire is in progress below is pure lunacy . Whilst trading in the London Fire Brigade we were shown these type of videos as examples of how not to do the job .

FAST stands for Firefighter Assist and Search team. .A FAST truck at a box stands by in case a firefighter becomes trapped, injured, etc.; they are tasked, along with the Rescue and Squad, with locating lost firefighters and removing them safely
same thing as a "RIT" truck or a rescue truck designated to standby in case of a mayday call, they will be the primary personnel involved in rescuing the fire fighter or firefighters.
@@azul8811 aaaaaaaah i dont live there no more. but there on youtube. thats the bullhead city arizona fire department. yeah they can give the new york city fire department a good run for there money.
You would never see this in Europe. Firefighting is a serious business. Walking on the burning roof, crazy. Why do they still use those weird, clunky helmets. It takes 5 minutes just to put on the facial mask. In our country it takes at most 10 seconds.
@@TheNYCBuff They operating like shit. Never ever see them saving a car or a house. Everything goes to hell. They can't minimize anything. 10-20 fire trucks and they still have no water after 10 minutes. American firefighters are the worst in the world. They are heroes, yes, but their training and skills are terrible and only put them in danger.
@@TheNYCBuff And I may not know how Dr FDNY works. But I do know how our fire brigade works. There are plenty of videos on YT of Dutch fire brigades. Look at that and then start comparing. ua-cam.com/video/Z8Sabr21SVM/v-deo.html. This is one of them.
FDNY dispatchers simply don't get the recognition and credit they deserve!!! Dispatchers rock on these multi-alarm fires!!!

I was going to say something about that. The dispatcher calling that traffic was first class. Absolute joy to listen to.
James thank you for your service!
@dv1267 29 years, my pleasure. Not bad for a skinny kid from Brooklyn.
Great video, outstanding radio traffic

Kudos to the dispatcher
INCREDIBLE dispatcher! She is PRICELESS. She was in 100% control of the command every second
My granddad was a fireman, he said every building in NYC is a fire trap, he would never live in a building higher than 2 stories.
Respect aux pompiers pour leurs dévouement très bon travail équipe reste uni

I Haven't heard that much "bidding" for the run in a long time.

Did the CIDS say metal trusses for the floors?? How was that allowed?
Dispatcher is like Joe Montana in the playoffs. Cool as ice.
Great video. I was active in P.G. county,, MD from 1964 to 1988. We didn't use the term "fast truck" What is the meaning of the term "fast truck"?

Fdny speak for a RIT team
Thank you very much for explaining the "fast fruck" term.
Used in a sentence
"Queens to Ladder 133 you are designated the FAST truck"
nice catch............
Great to see fdny embrace roof ops
Love the Brooklyn accent
I do too. It's like a lullaby to my ears and heart😍
The bullhead city fire department says. No problemo. We have compressed air foam.

Very smart to open that roof so that more oxygen can reach the fire. NOT!!!
