About the gas valve in the kitchen: don't know if the owner told you that, but it's pretty normal for the valve to stay open all the time (you only close it when you travel, or stay out of the apt for weeks). In fact, moving the valve on/off everyday is not that good for safety. You should ask! :)
We will definitely have to ask, we haven’t heard of this before, thank you so much!
@@chanelmeyerr get a carbon monoxide detector. It's cheap and you'll feel safer.
@@chanelmeyerr Do you guys already speak Spanish? I'm moving there next year.
Thanks so much for posting this. I always wanted to know about Apartments in Buenos Aires.
I really want to visit there so much and really want to move. $500 isn't bad!
I'm just trying to grow my UA-cam and expand my own Digital nomad experience, but not sure what kind of online job is easy enough to apply for.
But this video is perfect. Very clean apartment, love how you have it organized and decorated including your work areas! 👍
Being born in Brooklyn, I know how bad prices can get in New York. It's great seeing fellow New Yorkers going to a city that looks reminiscent of New York and how you both work it!
The economy there is bad, but around the world it's also starting to get rough. I really just wanna get out of the US...
Great video, thoroughly enjoyed your tour with your Dog & Cat! 🐕🐈
There’s a lot of opportunities here for digital nomaders, I hope you’ll be able to visit one day! $500 (that we split) compared to our rent in NY is a huge saving point for us every month!
Está re bueno tu apartamento felicidades 😎
Aww gracias!
Hey guys!
Congrats for the apartment!
Cheers from Buenos Aires
Thank you so much! 🙂
@@chanelmeyerr Welcome!
Awesome video. Are there any sites you would recommend to start searching for an apartment? Also another topic i'd like to see is generally how to make friends there.
thanks for the great content!
Amazing video! Keep it up!
Thank you:)
I will be there march 1st for maybe 3 months or more. Any info or help is great. Great video. :)
Morning Chanel happy Friday afternoon and I just wanted to say that you are amazing Supporter and congrats on your apartment and all your best
:)
Guys I suggest you to talk to your landlord about you buying a desk and a chair and deduct it from the rent, some owners are ok with doing that transaction (once you move, you leave the desk and chair in the apartment) (:
This is great advice! We didn’t think about that but if we resign here we’d definitely ask, gracias!
That's so~cool !! 👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶🇦🇷💞
Very nice apartment! Cheers from Rosario, Santa Fe
🥰🥰
tap water is potable so no need to spend money on bottles! if that helps
I’m looking to go in February for a month or 2, probably Airbnb in Palermo.
Hi!! I love your videos they are so cute 🥰 how did you guys manage to send heavy or big stuff like the ps5? Were you able to take it with you on the plane?
I come from argentina but I’ve been living in Florida for a year and its time to go back but i got so much stuff like books that can be heavy😂
Thanks!! We each brought 2 luggages and had to pay an overweight fee for some! Valuable stuff like the ps5 and laptops was put into our carryon luggage!
Sorry if I missed this in the video, but how did you actually find apartments without the use of the realtor?
Thats my big question too. Lol
Your cat & doggie & your husband ? B.F.? are all adorable !! Lol. And you ,too ! 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️🇦🇷💞
great video! So did you pay in usd or in pesos? (Minute 14+15)
Half and half !
Did the apartment come furnished or partially furnished? Also, I’m in Ecuador now and unfurnished apartments generally don’t come equipped with any appliances, whereas furnished apartments do. Is it the same in BA?
Completely furnished with all appliances!
Thank you so much for sharing! How can I get into some of these WhatsApp groups?
We found them on Reddit!
Muy lindo depto! Felicitaciones!!!
Gracias!!!
Any chance of you putting up some links of the whatsapp groups for finding apartments please, and thanks in advance. By the way, love yr channel and have subbed and liked
What is the name of that area? Oh I see in the comments section. Thanks. You mentioned it in your video but understand one thing. Hearing it and seeing the name is a different thing. Remember how you edited your video regarding the kitchen door. You may want to do the same in various areas of your video to not receive repeated questions. Like the spelling of the city upon mentioning it. Also people want to know how to find places. Sites etc. One site I found helpful is zonapropar. It helps tremendously. One last note. The 3 month contract is not a good thing if you are planning long term. Having a landlord increase rent every 3 months is never good especially in Buenos Aires Great apartment
gosh, finding an apartment in bsas is the hardest thing ever!! they're all super old and when you find a nice one they want to charge you in usd and upwards of 1200 usd which is basically the same as renting in orlando, fl where i used to live
ps: im trynna rent a 3 dorm apartment
I’ve been very surprised by how hard it is to find a reasonably priced apartment! Some are more than in NY!!
Oh, I was born and live in Balvanera. It's a big neighborhood, but we might be neighbors, who knows!
So pretty here!!
Hi I just subscribed and have a few questions? What area in BA did you move to? Is it $500 a month or $500 for 3 months? Thanks
500 per month! And I mention on the video :)
Great place n great price at $500/mo
What neighborhood ?
Thx
Is there a better way to find a place other than Airbnb? I’d love to talk if you don’t mind
Hi there! Good content. Just courius about how to get a contract in USD dollars due to in Argentina the currency is Peso?
I got a virtual job in the states while living in NY and they were okay with me living abroad, but I know not all jobs are okay with this!
@@chanelmeyerr I did not express myself very well, was about to ask you is if you are paying rent in USD o in Argentinian Peso. If not how did you get the lease?
what breed is your dog?
A beagle!
@@chanelmeyerr thanks for your reply... it seems he is perfect for apartment living.
New and Modern Apt. @$500.. BA where?
Where were you looking apartments from the owners?
Some from owners and some from realitors
Greetings from Nassau Bahamas! I liked your video. However, I disagree about laundromats. Laundromats are so cheap all over Argentina that, unless you like doing laundry (If so, we're probably from different planets.), there's no reason to do your own laundry. I'm surprised that your landlord didn't require a DNI. I'm hoping that I can get a DNI even if I only live in Argentina for 6 months each year.
We haven’t had the best experiences with laundromats as when washing blankets they’ve lost ours and when they’ve told it it’ll only take 2 days, it ended up being close to a week. We don’t mind doing laundry and like being able to wash our clothes whenever :)
Hello, honestly 500 seems a bit much for that department. Another thing, they should not charge them in dollars, they should charge them in pesos. In this way, the value of the department decreases and adjusts. Don't be scammed.
The apartment is nice, but the fact that the owner keeps things there seems inappropriate to me, it seems to me that if they look for more, they could get something better. Remember, in Argentina there is no price standard, you can haggle and get more things.
All the services combine, gas, electricity, internet, are cheap in Baires. at most are 60 usd.
Thanks for your input! It’s definitely some things to consider!
For sure 500 is too much for that apartment, specially in Balvanera. You can get a 2 bedroom 2 baths 50 square meters plus in the best neighborhoods for 350/400usd or even less. Or even a small house if you´re willing to go to "Zona Norte" near Genral Paz.
El alquiler es un contrato entre partes que están de acuerdo y tambien las condiciones de pago
@@Rezan01 60 dolars??? Only in expenses you have that amount...
A quien votarias Massa Larreta o Milei? si pudieras votar en Argentina claro. to close the election.
500 to much money
