    Absolutely - I also didn't know and was 15 kgs overweight, gout etc. Found fasting then keto then carnivore. Found by self learning and unlearning all the stuff I'd been indoctrinated in for the last 40 years.

      It's incredible how self-learning and unlearning can lead to transformative discoveries. Breaking free from the indoctrination of traditional beliefs can open up new pathways to health and well-being. It's empowering to take control of our own journeys and make choices that truly benefit us. Keep up the amazing work on your path to better health!

    In my opinion, I think this should be taught in schools. My first worry is that at the same time real changes will be required to improve availability and cost of "whole foods" so that all individuals and families from all economic backgrounds have the basic human right to real food. Not to mention how the food is grown in the first place. Are the farmers of the country being supported and are able to properly care for their soil and the crops that grow in it.....but I will get my head out of the clouds now 😉😶‍🌫

    After being dx with DM2 Jan. 2019 this Dr Sarah Hallberg video was the first I watched after returning home from the doctor's office and googling. She set me on the path of true information. From there I found Dr. Ken Berry and others who helped me on the path of recovering my health. I was sorry to hear she passed away.

      Thankfully Dr Hallberg's video was one of the first things I found after being diagnosed with diabetes in Oct 2021. I had told the doctor no drugs and that I would try diet first, thinking at the time low FAT and cutting out the biscuits and ready made meals. When I researched diabetes I learned that it can cause blindness and kidney failure (I did know about amputations). At the same time I found things online about low carb and people saying they had remitted their diabetes. I decided to try it very seriously for 3 months and get retested to see what it would do. And viola!!! my A1C had gone from 7.0 down to 5.5. It's now been 20 months and I've had additional benefits from a low carb lifestyle. I love not being a slave to food anymore. The biggest thing I had to get my head around was being allowed to eat fat. Being 65 I had grown up during the low fat era so it was ingrained in me.

    I love the talks but keto chow sponsoring it is kinda weird. They speak of real food and keto chow is the opposite of what they are telling you to do?

    • @AskNurseCindy
      @AskNurseCindy Рік тому

      I don't think it is opposite of what is taught. Keto Chow fills the gap for many of us when either starting keto, having for emergencies/no time type of day or a very nice treat (try using it for ice cream) They can give you their own opinion. My 90 year old Dad has one everyday. His appetite is not huge and this is easy for him to drink for breakfast and gets his protein in.

      Hey there! I completely understand where you're coming from. But let's consider this perspective: Keto Chow could be seen as the "rebel" in the group, adding a touch of mischief to the party. We proudly strut around saying, "Hey, I may be a meal replacement, but I'm a delicious and nutritious one!" It's all about finding balance, embracing variety, and discovering what works best for you. After all, life's too short to not have a little fun on your keto journey, right? So keep enjoying the talks and the occasional keto chow wink-wink! 😄🥗 Oh, and by the way, don't forget to check out our Keto Chow electrolyte supplements! They're made with pure ingredients, without any artificial additives, colors, caffeine, or dyes. Our Drops are specifically crafted with the body's essential electrolytes and trace minerals sourced from the Great Salt Lake, delivering them in their most bioavailable form. No artificial ingredients here, just the good stuff!
