The BEST Eating DEEP SEA Fish! *Multi-species* Clean & Cook
Вставка
- Опубліковано 28 вер 2021
- Hope you guys enjoy this clean and cook video. In this video we fillet a red porgy, scamp grouper and toro snapper. I made the grouper and porgy on the camp chef pellet grill and place it on a n open face ciabatta sandwich. I roasted some garlic and red pepper to go along with our ciabatta, and made a ricotta spread to go along with it. The crudo style fish was garnished with soy, vinegar, sesame oil and palm sugar, along with cucumber, red chilli and red onion.

It'd be cool if you did like a 48-72 hr survival challenge on a island or camp on a beach where it's legal. You have to eat only what you catch or trap, can bring water, tent, sleeping bag, fire starter kit, knife and a few poles bait n lures. Think it'd be fun & something different to see your skills & capabilities! Even a 24 hr one would be fun.
It is hard to explain to people just how amazing Scamp is to people that haven't been lucky enough to eat it. There is no fish I would rather eat...absolutely none...and I do freaking love some fish!
Victor probably the best looking fish dish and tasting as well. Good job. I agree with Brian about having 2 different videos. I know it's not always possible due to trying to make a certain length video but really enjoyed this time.
Broooo. Porgy and scamp, some of the two best eating reef fish we have. Living the dream!
Brian! His food reviews are always entertaining to listen to. I swear, he may be the happiest man on the planet 😎😅💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 Btw, y’all clowned on “chewy” guy so bad 🤣🤣
As a new dad, I strive to be like Brooks dad. Guy puts a smile on my face every video and clearly did a great job as a parent.

My guy love your catch N cook videos . Thanks for sharing come to Jamaica sometimes bro

Great recipes Victor...I luv sashimi
Very nice ..did you catch porgy in the Atlantic?..You are the Iron Chef of fishing😂
For sure
A collab with blue gabe would be some cool content brotha!
Love your videos and love your positivity man!
What he’s saying is, a flexible knife will slice down the rib cage of the fish without chopping any of the rib cage bones and leaving them for you to chew on in your meal. The “forgiving knife” will jump over those bones instead of cutting through them. This guy has the right idea.
My Dude, that looks delicious! Kudos.
amazing video thus far vic
Vic u show me something new every time I tune in to ur channel. Thank you💯😋
you guys smashed them fish in that last episode
Y'all should try fishing on Del Rio Texas some pretty good Bass over there

I'm coming to florida soon I hope ya ready to do some catch clean and cook
Amazing culinary skills man! I know you don't usually measure you ingredients, bit could you guestimate how much of each ingredient, as you going through the preparation? For us novice 3 Michelin star chefs! Lol. Oh, and I'm still waiting for my fresh fish care package! So I can try one of these amazing dishes! Lol. Love your videos, keep at man. You're killing it!
looks goooood!
Come to east texas and ill take you bass or crappie fishing
Always say Scamp is the best!
Use the whole head for fish tea
I'm just wondering if he's thinking about a FIRM texture...... LOL
In Australia we call those red porgy’s, red snapper and we catch them in 3-60ft of water. They are like the most targeted fish
Looking strong in that thumbnail buddy!! Great video as always bro! Watching from Trinidad 🇹🇹
Toro or ball auntin or moon shine snapper is the sweetest fish
Awesome 🤩
Aloha, that sure looks like what we call menpachi. We use glow jigs off the rocks at night. Scale them and fry them whole.
Amazing , must be lots of work but it's worth it , wish I can be there , yummy
Scamp and Hog are the best of the best
Looks good. I've always wanted to learn new ways to cook fish. Where's that Fish cooking channel?
Sometime try, Beer Battered, deep fried fish.
That porgy looks like something we call a pink snapper or pinkie in Australia!
All of you are amazing people, and are my favorite UA-cam channel. My aunt lives in Tampa, and when I get a chance to come visit her from Iowa, I want to go fishing for scamp grouper? So I will look into one of your friends you suggested in past videos and would love to meet you and Brooke. Oh and it's a tie between your videos and Brooke's channel for favorites . Love you both, God Bless
Nice
if you go to the docks & see guys filleting, 90% are Dexter knives lol
U should go hunting with @bluegage I would love that
My brotha when you fish in florida and I can be a part of the fishing trip I would be glad. Do not need to be part of the filming crew unless you need me to be but just the fishing alone would he worthwhile. I am rusty now. Especially since I have number two on the way. Three mo ths preggo. Anyways much love and blessing to you and your family and friends.
Dang Vic if I could eat like you all I bet I could lose a ton of weight. That looked so good 👌.
Hey Vic do snook fishing catch n cook 2021 season
When's the cook book coming out?
What nice video
I want to be like you when I grow up
When soaking the chilies in vinegar and palm sugar, I guess regular sugar would work too, right ? Sometimes I like to take a little of the heat of the pepper away too. I have acid reflux disease(heartburn), but I love the taste of hot peppers, or a little “kick”. I use powders most of the time, like in my Marinara Sauce, because I can get the perfect heat instead of relying on real fresh peppers, then winding up that it’s too hot. Nice recipe though, looks awesome.
Great as usual. I miss it when you don’t show the stomach contents though.
Yeah You tube these days are hating on blood and stomach content they will de moneytize the video :/
That fish got the Sharingan
Vic, I got a question. Do you use a whet stone for sharpening your knives? If so what kind and do you use low grit or high grit or both?
Hey vic i actually also caught a glassnose recently in NC. How rare is that fish? I definitely need a new knife. That scamp grouper looks really good with no bloodline. Gotta catch one someday haha tight lines!
Not only is it tender but its also bouncy lmfao!!
Mexican inspired sashimi
damn that red porgy looks so similar to the red snapper we have here in nz.
Hi i from malaysia
S~T~A~R~V~I~N~G
I don't comment on a lot of videos but thought I needed to comment on this one. I absolutely love your videos and every Sunday, binge watch them. I love the family vibe and just seeing you and Brooke blossom in content and creativity. However one thing never ceases to amaze, amuse but mostly bewilder me. In all your videos, you seem to insist on NOT using knives to accompany the fork. And bless Brooke's mom, she seems to be constantly struggling to fork up the food of even keep the food on her fork. I need to ask, is this a cultural thing where you just don't use knives to help with forking the food, is it some sort of fish etiquette where you don't use knives? I mean what is it that I'm missing? What's up with the knife situation where you guys just struggle to fork the food due to the lack of a knife? It seems to be a thing so really want to understand.
Are you sure that's not a yellowmouth grouper? They look alot alike, although I do believe this is a scamp.
Coming down to Florida in 2 weeks. We are big fishers from Ny. Any good spot recommendations down there?
Sebastian Inlet, Florida
Is the Helen S still fishing from hillsborough inlet?
Is that young stan lol
ive caught quite a few toro in my life. that one looks like it has a growth deformity. like stunted almost which is really trippy. maybe its the way he froze, but that fish certainly looks shorter than the ones ive caught, yet just as fat.
Would love to come fishing with you one day I was just recently a contestant on the Ultimate Fighter show on ESPN + let me know if I can come fishing with you one day! It would be an honor!
Hey Victor are you sure that wasn't a gold fish?!
That is the biggest pink snapper or red porgy I have ever seen!
Question those this knives work for cutting pork or beef or get the Bones out of pork shoulders and stuff like butchering ?
That’s a different species of toro dude
👍💖💖💖😍😍😍
Say less Dad.... say less....
As a hopefully up and coming UA-camr trying to build my channel with the little time I have I've been using dextor knives for years almost exclusively but I always have such a hard time keeping an edge on my dextors what do you do also any shout out to microskiffadventures at any point would be amazing I don't have much posted yet barely an intro but it's been a tough year and I haven't been able to gain the ground I want but things are getting better and I plan and hope to be posting much more
Like👍👍👍😁
Boy I do not want to make light of anything but that guy wearing a cap at dinner looks a lot like the guy the FBI and dog the bounty Hunter are looking for.
that Toro has such big eyes i have to wonder if he has any room for a brain.
Florida sportsman channel on Facebook did a post for you the other day ✝️
