@@garysims4491 My usage was correct, stonefish are venomous as are lionfish. Both inject you with venomous if you get stuck by their fins. Both are also very edible and delicious.
Never ate lionfish or scamp grouper in Hawaii, ,but scorpionfish is "broke da mouth" onolicious. Sashimi, steamed, anyway you cook them. Even the legend of Florida Ryan Meyers has learned the prize of the scorpionfish. Tight lines
Cape gooseberries, Peruvian gooseberries goldenberries, actually in the tomatilla family (and not related to the actual gooseberry)... sweet, tart, and when dried, the small seeds are crunchy
The red fish at 4:48. Looks like a fish we call menpachi Make a catch and cook on a dozen of them Fried whole with white rice and a dipping sauce of your choice. 🤙🏾
Nice video. It's too bad no one has figured out how to reliably catch Lionfish via rod and reel. I do hope that lobster divers will include Lionfish in their harvest. It looks like they are easier to harvest than lobster are.
Long time subscriber here and I know that click bait is kinda something you need to do and its part of the game but some of the titles are getting out of hand. Like to an extent I don't mind but flat out lying in the title about the content of the video just seems disingenuous to me and makes me want to watch the videos less. It seems small but just removing the words "world's most" from the title makes it actually true and just doesn't feel as wrong to me. Just one guy's opinion...
No your wrong!! They came from Jamacia they had a study going on off the coast and during a storm the pens got damaged and they got loose and are decimating the Caribbean!!! They are very Voracious !!
Great video. Food looks wonderful. You're doing an awesome job as a chef. I can't help noticing that in the videos you been going shirtless more often. Is that your next project to get into, powerlifting? Looks like you've been training and it's really starting to show.
Couldn't help to notice the deadlifting t-shirt you had on in the beginning of the video and then in the kitchen the Optimum nutrition whey protein in the background on top of the fridge. Have you been training? If so, care to share in a video?

I recommend cutting the barbs off with a scissor before filleting.
Been a subscriber for a long time and you've really grown as a chef. I've always liked catch and cook videos, but you are next level man!
A lion fish won’t even kill you. A stonefish on the other hand
Next on what will Victor eat next! 😂👌🏻

@@royal_v4378 thanks dude!
Brookie👀
Ill never get over how funny spearfishing lionfish looks
Lionfish are a huge problem on so many Atlantic reefs now. We joined a group where we dove and culled out over 200 fish in one day.
sweet. keep up the good work
Oh shit, he’s gotten in shape.
11 people don't understand INVASIVE . Great video Victor
Actually the stonefish is the world's most venomous fish.
I was about to say
Super cool to see our sharks learning to prey upon the lionfish
Under water is so beautiful, great vide fishing
it has been said so many times that Lionfish have no natural predators but that nurse shark looked like it was doing a fine job.

I mean if you were eating stonefish that'd be an easy claim but lionfish as the most venomous fish out there is a dumb claim.
ahhh venomous and poisonous look up the definition they are 2 diff things you learn something new every day.
@@garysims4491 My usage was correct, stonefish are venomous as are lionfish. Both inject you with venomous if you get stuck by their fins.

Really one for the best underwater footage I have seen in long time. Excellent stuff !
YOU ARE SO UNDER RATED
Your dishes make my mouth water lol
Beautiful dish. Plated well.
Spear fishing looks like a good time. Enjoyed watching the nurse shark hunt one down.
Stunning footage!
3:34 that lobster knows it got lucky.
Great video Vik! You never know how many are on the reefs until you dive down there. Crazy!
Never ate lionfish or scamp grouper in Hawaii, ,but scorpionfish is "broke da mouth" onolicious. Sashimi, steamed, anyway you cook them. Even the legend of Florida Ryan Meyers has learned the prize of the scorpionfish. Tight lines
AKA Nohu [Hawaiian] or okude [Japanese}.
I love lionfish, they have such cool designs
Cape gooseberries, Peruvian gooseberries goldenberries, actually in the tomatilla family (and not related to the actual gooseberry)... sweet, tart, and when dried, the small seeds are crunchy
I honestly think the lionfish is one of the best eating fish in Florida. So much yield it is amazing. Tasty fish tacos!
Great trip but the most poisonous fish is the Pufferfish. You have become a great Chef and it adds so much more to your videos.
ahhh venomous and poisonous look up the definition they are 2 diff things you learn something new every day.
@@garysims4491 you are right

We actually have native Gooseberries here the the North Eastern USA. American gooseberry (Ribes hirtellum). They're extremely delicious.

Now you are actually doing something worthwhile
Keep the videos coming Vic love your work, especially the cooking section.
Always giving me new ideas in the kitchen. I've gotta make it up to Florida to catch and cook some of these tasty fish 🐟
I wouldn’t be getting that cozy with a stone fish if I were you
the nohu (scorpion fish) is a great fish to eat. should try that one next
The haters comments are so stupid they’re funny. Your skills have advanced off the chart and always look forward to the next one
Hey like we do porgies(scup) use shears to cut off the spines
we are heading down to Marathon for mini season and hope to get in on the lion fish thing.
My grandma used to make Piet
that aweo'weo was massive next to the uhu.
Try preparing Fugu next..
Have you ever thought of doing a question and answer question and answer video
Those are such good eating, had em up in Venice
This scares me. I think I will stick to my 🐡 Pufferfish….LOL😂😂😂 Seriously, love your videos including your culinary skills.

Hell yeah, Lionfish are fantastic!
I’ve heard that there really good eating fish

First time I heard of invasive species in the ocean.
still looking forward to Landshark cafe..........
Uh, that's a lionfish in the thumbnail and while venomous is NOWHERE near THE most venomous fish.
4:49 what is that guy with the big eyes and orange tint?!??!! that fish looks like a lure
This is awesome! You should identify more fish species underwater. That’s super helpful
Can't wait to try it.
Rocket lettuce would be good with that platter
Looked like a delicious meal 😋
Everybody that tries lionfish loves it, must be really tasty!
yeah everyone should go and catch as many as they can
Gorgeous video!

Just one guy's opinion...
What was that red fish with the huge eye?
This made me hold my breath very uncomfortably. 😆
What do you do with the body after you get the meat off it?
by law most sushi joints have to freeze their fish before serving..
Love your vids
No your wrong!! They came from Jamacia they had a study going on off the coast and during a storm the pens got damaged and they got loose and are decimating the Caribbean!!! They are very Voracious !!
You cam always take scissors to the fines before fillet it
I’m gonna be down in fort Myers right at the beginning of lobster season in August. Do you know any good reefs down there?
Definitely not the gooseberry I’m familiar with. Had no clue such a thing existed, gonna have to keep my eye out for it.
Not the one I am familiar with either.
Vik Can You Get A Line Of Landshark Outdoors Stickers To Buy PLEASE !
Damn Victor, that whey protein on top of the fridge wasn't just for show!
Those berries look like ground cherry. Not goose berries.
2;30 what kind of fish that is ?
“they second you go like this” she means if the spine breaks your skin barrier the poison will go in and hirt
Also, sometime try Blue Agave Nectar as a sweetner. I use it frequently in my hot sauces and other dishes instead of or with honey.
Hey Vik, what kind of spear are you using and what are the specifications? I am really interested in buying on!!!!
lets go im early!
Goose berries have 2 completely different tastes. If you got sweet ones youre lucky, half the time they're just bitter and nasty.
There's five+ types of gooseberries...but typically they're only sour when unripe.
Great video. Food looks wonderful. You're doing an awesome job as a chef. I can't help noticing that in the videos you been going shirtless more often. Is that your next project to get into, powerlifting? Looks like you've been training and it's really starting to show.
Are the lionfish venomous or poisonous?
This simply isn't factual. The lionfish is not the world's most venomous fish.
Actually couple species of stone fish are the most venomous
What is lionfish like? I live in VA so we don't get those. I've always wanted to eat one.
Just my 2 cents. I would cut the poisonous barbs off with a scissor before filleting.
so you didn’t cook the lion fish, correct?
Couldn't help to notice the deadlifting t-shirt you had on in the beginning of the video and then in the kitchen the Optimum nutrition whey protein in the background on top of the fridge. Have you been training? If so, care to share in a video?
Definitely not the worlds most venomous fish
we made so many animals go extinct why can't we get this one?
cool, most of those fish that you were watching are considered good eating fish here in Hawaii, like the surgeonfish or the bigeye haha
are you and Brook married jet
