This Alaska Trip/Series is by far the best content you've filmed on your channel! The scenary, weather, different fish species & great charter captains def set this trip way ahead of the rest & regular Florida fishing you and Brooke do.
I never thought I would say this but I do feel lucky to live where I can quite literally take my kayak out and catch king salmon right off the coast where I live.
Love the videos. Keep them coming. FYI those “Hook” noses are called a Kype. Only the Males get big Kypes. They do not use the Kype to grip onto each other for Spawning. They use them fighting and intimidating other males. The fish you were holding when you talked about the “hook” nose was a female which do not develop Kypes.
not to be a told you so, but coho females can have them also. I've personally caught a number that i thought would be a male and discovered skeins of eggs inside. Generally it only seems to happen with larger wild fish
You two are a great example of a partnership. Beyond that, you immerse your audience into your lives with cheer. I’ve watched every video and you should know, it’s beyond distraction, it is truly enjoyment of what what the earth and God have to offer us. Keep being you guys and keep doing what you are doing.

Your fishing is very good Congratulations you are an excellent professional fisherman! Your fishing gear is fantastic!👍🎣❤😍
Salmon always know what is going is only harder to catch and not only are are they are part of a similar DNA. But they are our food that we take for granted
Had fresh caught grilled salmon when I was in Alaska. There’s really nothing like it. Literally ate it at a picnic table in the forest and I’ll always remember it. Great video!
I spent a week in Soldotna and went fishing every day. The best catch I got was a 38 and 44 lbs. King Salmon. By the time I came home I had 250 lbs. of fish. It was coslty to ship back to Mass. but extremely worth it.
You and Brook ever think about coming to the Northwoods of Wisconsin to chase the elusive Muskellunge? Often called a Musky or Muskie, these voracious ambush predators can be finicky and tough to goad into biting lures. This reputation has garnered them the reputation of "The Fish of 10,000 Casts." They often will follow lures to the boat without ever committing to a strike. However! In the fall these awesome predators become much easier to catch and the use of live suckers increases those odds even more... My personal best is a 45" fish, but I netted a 51 1/2 incher for my uncle in Canada, a true beast! If you ever want to come try a new experience, let me know! Unfortunately, they don't make great table fare, as most places require a 40+ inch fish to be kept, and by the time they get that big, they are a very tough fish, as they are a slow growing, cold water fish. However, while Musky fishing, you will invariably catch some of their smaller cousins, the Northern Pike, which are tricky to fillet due to their "Y" bones, but they make excellent table fare!
Not to beat a dead horse but correction on why salmon have kype/hook nose is not for gripping each other but for dominance/fighting for position to fertilize eggs when the female drops them. Also intimidation. Bigger male means bigger kype and more dominance also those “spoons” are actually called plugs. Not from Alaska myself but from Washington which also has salmon fisheries throughout the entire state and I got to say this video hit home. You guys are awesome!! Keep it up!
So glad yall are safely back in Florida! Yall were killing me with the Alaska videos. Congrats on all your catches. Caught my first and biggest King on the Kenai in 2008. Love that place! Can't wait for your next video. Safe travels. FISH ON! 🎣
Aloha, have really enjoyed this series. Makes me nostalgic. Though I’m surprised you didn’t keep the skin on. Been watching you forever, you like assertive fish and flavors.
@@duckwacker8720 the skin is real nice if you try to get it crispy. The scales are small enough that they don't taste bad when cooked, definitely try cooking some salmon skin side down in the pan or grill! Good crispy salmon skin is absolutely incredible
Actually you can keep the skin on even if you don't eat the skin because the fish peals right off the skin when cooked. then you also get all the good tasty fat on the skin
Can you teach my husband to cook like you ?? 😂😂😂lol The meals you cook and the catches you are getting are incredible 😁 Your videos are very informative enjoy watching them. I think your videos are giving my husband an “itch” to do a “ Alaska Salmon Fishing Trip!” Looking forward to more videos 👍
I get a kick how the sockeye salmon gets renamed a red in the US, the coho becomes a silver, chinook is a king. At least the pink is still pink. Lol Excellent cook on that salmon. I love leaving the skin on as it’s got so nice and crispy
You two are such a lovely couple and thank you for sharing your travels with us. We feel like we our one big family, I live in the uk 🇬🇧 but feel as so we are there with you both thanks 🙏 and may god bless you both.
Wow...great content and superb quality! I may have mentioned this earlier, but we got to do go to the Taku Lodge via a seaplane adventure with some knarly glacier visits during an alaskan cruise, and the fresh salmon dinner was to die for. I'm like Brook, not a big salmon fan, but the fresh, just caught that day experience is one everyone should have.
Sometimes Publix has coho salmon! I actually just picked up a piece today and grilled it for lunch.....ate it while watching one of your videos too hahah
Salmon is definitely one of the fish you don’t want to overcook. If anything cook under and let it finish while you are waiting. Very good eating fish when it is fresh like this .
Brother Victor And Sister Vicki That Salmon Dishes Are Look So Delicious i'm So Jealous Brother Salmon Fishing is My Favorite Sports i Love it Thank You For Sharing us i'm From Vancouver British Columbia Canada 😎😁👍👍👌💑😚
Amazing how that that river water looked like the ocean. I thought you would've made a sushi roll with some of that salmon. Great trip guys. Have fun in Mexico 🤙🥃
Brook its the Alaskan wild Salmon vs Atlantic farm raised Salmon that makes the difference. I was never a fan of Salmon until I had wild Alaskan salmon, now its my favorite.
So cool to see you and Brooke up in the high country. Much different than FL. PLEASE do some wild cutthroat fishing in the Middle Rockies. I'm saltwater at heart too but watching a native trout take a hand-tied fly in a meadow stream is priceless.
Have a safe trip to Mexico! more importantly have a great time fishing! I went scuba diving once in Mexico and wow its amazing 😍😍😍 hope theres some giants for you both out there!
Got back from fishing the Kasilof and Kenai last week. Hell, might've seen your guide boats and not realized it. Was looking at the shots of Kenai Fjords in your last few videos and thinking about how I just saw those exact same views! Glad you had an amazing trip
I agree with Brook. I love fish but farmed salmon is kinda blah. A friend of mine went to Alaska and gave me some salmon he caught...3 different types. All were completely different experiences from the average everyday salmon. Excited for you 2 and your future together fishing until the end of time
So you can be a professional chef! You are already a professional fisherman 🙃!! Love the videos this is organic!! Fresh caught is always the best at a sustainable level!
congrats to you guys! That very last part actually made me cry cause my wonderful woman died a good month ago, we would've gotton married too, she even told me, in a very serious, beautiful way she wanted to spend the rest of her life with me and she did, there was no unsolved issues between us, guess it was just to good to be true.... I really hope you guys know what you have in each other and you never know how long it'll last so make the most out of it and always tell and show each other and your other loved ones what they mean to you!!!
Wow! Nice catch idol. Ang Galing nyo idol napanood ko yung vlog mo. Full support na po. Keep it up. Watching from argao. Keep safe and God bless always🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤🐟🐟🐟🐟⛵⛵⛵⛵😊😊😊😊☺
Hey Victor, I'll be more than happy to do a taste test for you. I am addicted to Brooks' and your channels. I live in northern Illinois 9 miles from the Wisconsin border. Brook was supposed to send frozen shrimp last year. Well I asked and she said fresh or frozen. I am addicted. Years ago, 20 straight, I vacationed in Puerta Villarta. Conch salads as well as many different fish. Loved it.
It's funny how you have there salmon as an exciting fish and where i live it is the basic of basic fishes to eat. We don't catch them here tho but it's the basic one in grocery stores.
Awesome video buddy!! I just ran across your video and my wife and I absolutely have definitely been wanting to go catch some wild salmon and do a catch, clean, cook right on shore being as fresh as it can get for sure!!!
Try the butcher box salmon is great. Try putting some mayo on the salmon, it locks in the omega 3. Get ur self some un shelled pistachios and use a gallon ziploc bag, and a.meat.tenderizer smash down the pistachios into a small crush sprinkle over the mayo, cook on the stove, oven or in tin foil on the grill.
So having caught and cooked plenty of salmon for most of my adult life its nice to actually learn a different way to season them from a guy from Florida. And for once I don't have to wonder how good it actually is. I'm using your recipe on some fresh coho fillets this weekend
Try to use extra light Olive oil, tolerates heat better than the greener Olive oils,. Some say we shouldn't use Olive oil at all for searing or frying.
I love sport fishing, I work in the Commercial fishing Industry in Alaska (nothing as sexy as Deadliest catch or anything), I work as a Dock Supervisor at a cannery in Bristol Bay) Love your big catch, good job
Highest quality catch clean and cooks out there
Check out Deer meat and Yappy

Called Alaska spoiled !
I live in Alaska I feel the same way. Except I’m not a huge salmon fan I used to eat it 3/4 nights a week growing up lol it gets old.
@@jerrywtt , Unless it’s smoked and canned Jeremiah! I eat it like candy, plus no fish on earth better for you then wild Alaskan salmon.😉👍
Living my dream bro
I wish one day I could lay my life there enjoy fishing n live with natural..
Totally agree vic, your not over seasoning, your giving flavor! Flavor never hurt anyone 😂

Strange feelings, you two deserve this life filled with adventure and fishing but at the same time i’m insanely jealous 😅

Your fishing gear is fantastic!👍🎣❤😍
i fished that river over 25 yrs ago, it was amazing how many boats were on the river:
I get so excited every time I see one of your videos posted especially because you're on the West Coast!
Salmon always know what is going is only harder to catch and not only are are they are part of a similar DNA. But they are our food that we take for granted
The ending meal says a lot about your lifestyle. Beautiful couple stay blessed and hope you had an amazing trip! Commenting a year late lol.
that river looks so nice
Ya know, I absolutely hated salmon up until a couple years ago. Now I love it. Tastebuds change over time! Great vid guys!
There is not anything as tasty as Alaskan King Salmon freshly caught, grilled by a good cook.😋👍
Wow that meat is amazing!!!! The colour😍
Awesome job Viktor and Brook catching those fish. Victor, once again you did a great job preparing an amazing meal.
Salmon Patties are really good.

Both your Alaskan and Puerta Vallarte
trips were excellent !!!
Another one! Great one! Thank you Brook and Vic!!!
I've never filleted a fish on an ironing board. Today I learned.

A mist day is a good day. I was stationed there for 3 years most fishing days was mist to rain

What an awesome trip man! Great dish too! Your cooking skills are legit for sure!

You need to do an episode with Outdoor Chef Life. Taku and Joselyn
Aloha, have really enjoyed this series. Makes me nostalgic. Though I’m surprised you didn’t keep the skin on. Been watching you forever, you like assertive fish and flavors.
The skin doesn't help. If you're putting it on the BBQ then it's fine for some. I skin all mine unless I'm smoking it.

Nice. Salmon is my favorite fish. The rabbit food not so much, but yours looks good.
That is a dream trip! Love all your vids Vic!
the clip went by quick but that bald eagle hanging out in the middle of all the gulls was a pretty cool scene.
Another Alaskan adventure well photographed and explained. Recipe looked great. Looking forward to Mexico trip.
Great video. Everyone one of your catch and cooks are fun to watch. Yall need to go ahead and get married.
Superb big fan of you and brook lots of love from Goa india
Link with outdoor cheflife. Do a collab. Both my faves with the catch and cook. Would love to see that.
I love the way you cook.
Oh man I had dinner just now, seeing that salmon gave me an appetite xD
I have the exact same coat Brooke has. That’s insane.
I get a kick how the sockeye salmon gets renamed a red in the US, the coho becomes a silver, chinook is a king. At least the pink is still pink. Lol
Excellent cook on that salmon. I love leaving the skin on as it’s got so nice and crispy

Was in Sitka the second week of Sept. Brought home 40 lbs of Silver's and a King. Want to do Anchorage area in 2022. Most fun of 2021.
Sometimes Publix has coho salmon! I actually just picked up a piece today and grilled it for lunch.....ate it while watching one of your videos too hahah
I've done the exact same thing....Kenai in between town (Soldatna) and ocean (Cook Inlet) fun stuff!!!
Really liked Ryan’s explanation on why salmon deteriorates due to exposure to freshwater! Amazing content as always🥰
Salmon is definitely one of the fish you don’t want to overcook. If anything cook under and let it finish while you are waiting. Very good eating fish when it is fresh like this .

Any pnw salmon. Except chum and pink. Pinks are not the worst from the salt, but if there's an option to get kings or silvers they go back.
I want to do that one day. Seeing that beautiful orange meat, my god it's like heaven.
So cool to see you and Brooke up in the high country. Much different than FL. PLEASE do some wild cutthroat fishing in the Middle Rockies. I'm saltwater at heart too but watching a native trout take a hand-tied fly in a meadow stream is priceless.
Great video vic
Red salmon is my favorite

Seasoning is definitely subjective!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🥰
Love it!
You and Brook should go and fish for Arctic char next! Far up north in Canada.
Salmon are beautiful fish
Those eggs are so yummy straight from the Salmon .

Looks nice, have you ever tried a mango salsa on salmon or trout? Give it a try
