- Rabbit numbers are on the rise and Richard Saunders is targeting them for pest control and the pot in this week’s show. After kicking off his session in daylight, Richard then switches over to night vision to extend his outing into the hours of darkness and is rewarded with some excellent spot.
Also on this week’s show, we have the awesome FX Impact M3 on the bench. We’ve been looking forward to getting our hands on this airgun and it certainly didn’t disappoint - delivering the goods with slug ammo after a very quick and easy tune.

Good video again. I’m sure the FX is a brilliant rifle but to many can do’s with it for me. I’m happy with the military idea, don’t care how it works or why it works just as long as it goes bang! 😂. To many options allow for to much fiddling when you should just be out there shooting. 👍
If you plan on using one ammo type with it you tune it once and off you go

The m3 is nice and all but I like my MK2 and power plentum 720 with external 2nd reg alot because the rifle has been with me since the silver MK2 came out. I had upgraded the reg to a Huma extra high power reg heavy hammer and spring with a 700mm 22 barrel and 580cc carbon fiber tank with the stock tank as well.
Do FX "lock" the power level for UK guns or is it just de-tuned?
I would love to see Matt and Richard get together and have a shoot off between the FX impact M 3 Daystate Delta Wolf.
Great rifle-13 shot repeater my FX mk11 38 shot repeater in 177 and would be cheaper to buy than your rifle . Fx very very hard to beat I don’t care what it is . I still loved the video. Cheers Dean

When shooting rabbits with a .177 do you use a standard pellet or do you use a heavier pellet ?
Hi Martin. I used Air Arms Diabolo Field pellets at 8.4g - pretty much a standard .177 weight. Thanks for watching.

It comes ....trigger is swappable on the left also...
Nice shooting Rich, though (as you were swapping rifles) I'm surprised you didn't use the higher-powered rifle / day-scope combo in daylight, when the rabbits might keep their distance, and the more covert Pard-equipped rifle by night?

Thanks Russ. Simply because I like to use glass during the day when I can. Most of my shooting is at night so it made a pleasant change to use a glass scope.

Is that a different method of using the LRF?most shooters range it then it goes off.
Hi Alan. I tend to leave the range finder on just so folks know how far each shot is.
When you field dress these rabbits do they have any intestinal parasites like tapeworms, etc.?
I'd be surprised if there wasn't something like that. Other than the obvious checks for myxomatosis, I also check the organs, especially kidneys and liver, for any signs of disease.
@@richsaunders6515 Back in the early 80's when I first got into hunting the cotton tails I hunted were not only super infested with tapeworms but bot fly larva as well. I about threw up when those dam larva began wiggling as I began to skin the rabbits out. I never went for meat again.

Is this useful for 50 m medium hog hunting in headshot?
Hi Athif. No, rabbits are as big as I'd suggest you go even with an FAC air rifle. I'm no expert, but I'd suggest that for hogs you need to be thinking centrefire.
You can drop a medium hog with a .25 with slugs
I really don't understand how the phone can film the scope while you use it. Can somebody explain? I'd like to try that as well for my rifle!
Hi Paul. The Sideshot uses angled mirrors to reflect the image through the scope onto the camera...I think.
how many shots do you get out of that brocock at that power ?

I explained in the first few seconds that I'd come out to shoot some rabbits for the table.

1/ How many of those Rabbits were Does in milk? 2/ £1800 for a puffgun that will not shoot any better than a £200 .22lr, some will buy it, those who are easily parted from their money.

A puff gun 😂👍 I'm not an fx fan myself but I've found my air rifles to be a little more accurate at shorter ranges than my .22lrs

I have a Krieger barrelled weihrauch hw60 and a lilja barrelled sako quad I'd say my air gun technology Vulcan slightly better provided it's not to windy
Hi Chris. None of the rabbits were milky does. I prefer FAC air rifle because they are less likely to ricochet compared to .22 LR. Thanks for watching.

How about some normal rifles priced for normal people not free bees from company's using you for free advertising ???? is there any real point in showing what £8k + of air rifles and scopes can do for the majority of viewers ? you seem to be making videos for the 1%.
What’s a normal person?? There’s always a range of rifles reviewed on these shows from cheap to expensive... something to please everyone “even normal people 😂”! Personally I can’t afford these expensive ones but it’s always nice to see how these manufacturers are pushing the technology of these air rifles.
@@dyltwinful except for a few electronic rifles there is exactly the same tech in a £2000 fx as in a £400 hatsan its hype catching stupid people with to much money , PS i was the first UK edgun importer and have been a gunsmith for 35 years .you think these guys are not getting payed or back handers of free kit for using these high end rifles all the time ? yes they review cheaper ones but that is just to make people think they are being fair .
