The Airgun Show - hectic autumn squirrel hunting, PLUS world-beating QYS airgun pellets on test…

- Keeping grey squirrels in check is a non-stop job, and Mat Manning is busier than ever as one of his woodland permissions prepares to replant after losing trees to ash dieback. Feeding stations are the best way to bring bark-stripping greys to book, and Mat makes an impressive haul after using peanuts to pull them in.
Also in this week’s show, Mat takes a look at QYS airgun pellets from The Shooting Party. These pellets have picked up a huge number of Olympic medals over recent years, and Mat has been having some great results with them on the range and in the field.

Great seeing Mat, your one of my favorite shooters. So much so I’m back into the sport… thank you mate. All the best from Tom Long Island NY
Personally I'm not bothered if it's FAC or not. Getting rid of a pest that doesn't belong on this island is much more important.
I have a hw100k & my lad has a hw110k and these are the only pellets we'll use and believe me we've tried them all
The first Squirrel was hanging down, on the side of the feeder, hoping that it would'nt be seen. But Mat saw it, with his brilliant sharp eye's. They think that they are smart but, they are'nt.
Great job Mat … with you 100% on the FAC point
Great session 👏👏
All of my LW barrels and my HW100 absolutely love the QYS Domed.
Fantastic pellets and fantastic quality.
👍
Good show again Matt, like you I continue to use my FX in FAC .25 at 60ft lb & iHunter Apolo 33grn slugs, for the nuisance squirrels on my feeders set at 35 yards. NO problems.
Another epic and truly professional episode Matt. Nice one lad. Well done.
The people that complain about you using an FAC airgun to shoot squirrels are the people that can’t get an FAC airgun. Great shooting as always Matt 👌
Good shooting ,tks.
Always a brilliant video mat...
Cheers, MarkLondon
Farm Pest Management - Airgun Ch
My BSA R10se (.177) loves the QYS Streamlined in 8.48 grain. My gun is not tuned and still has the original regulator. I do a lot of pest control and used the Air Arms Diablo Field for this, but the QYS Streamlined give me more confidence in knowing when the crosshairs are on they'll hit the mark. So much so in fact that I'm taking out rats at 45 yards constantly. A brilliant pellet.
You should do slo-mo on the scope cam
Another great vid thanx matt
Great stuff as always!! 👍👍👍👏👏👏
Owh perfect shoot on targed
Great show again Mat, I have tried the QYS streamline 9.65 in my HW 100 and they are super accurate. They also came out at the highest ft lb of any pellet I have tried. In fact they push the gun into boarderline legality so I am sticking with my weihrauch magnums for now. When I get the gun serviced I will get the power turned down a tad.
Nice Shooting Tex !!
Another good video I tried those pellets a couple's of years ago with my fx impact ,daystate renegade
I recently bought a brand new bsa ultra se from my local dealer and I also purchased a box of QYS domed which I paid a premium price for. I'd never heard of them and I thought my dealer was simply taking advantage of me. Chinese pellets I thought? 12.99? How much? I thought to myself. Well I'm completely sold on these pellets now I realise just how good they really are especially for hunting and I will definitely be getting another box very soon as I've nearly finished them. The quality really is very good.
Great video Matt as always. Plus adding to your tally of gray squirrels . I started using the Qys heavys about a month ago and they truly are bloody accurate. Can not see myself using anything else now .
Pmsl instead of 2 feeders just use 1 big one ours holds 20kg
thought that first squirrel was going to die of old age
Awesome all shot ^_^
My lad uses the 4.49 heavies in his bsa ultra. The only pellet for that gun previously were bisley magnums 4.52, nothing else came close. But the qys have the magnums beat. They are superb. The 4.50s weren't so good which was a surprise as bsa barrels tend to prefer a larger head size usually but the proof is in the shooting.
Question, I'm new to your channel
What do you do with the meat ? Do you eat them? Here in the states people skin them and make stews out of the meat .
Another cracking video.
I’ve been using QYS streamlined 9.56 on and off for a couple of years now and both my rifles love them. Just hoping my soon to be incoming Brocock Ranger XR likes them as much which I suspect it will. Gonna give the streamlined domed a try soon.
Hi guys Steve from Suffolk UK 🇬🇧 I have been using qys 8.48gr pellets for night vision shooting on rats around the farm in my bsa r10th. They are like a lazarbeam out of that gun up to 60 yards but 90% of my hunting rats is between 10 and 30 yards and they are the business for that farm yard and cattle shed situation 😊👌
my hw100 loves the qys streamlined in 4.50.. dont group aswell with domed for some reason.
Have been doing extensive bench rest grouping work with many pellets in a sub 12 wolverine R .177. The QYS 550mg streamlined grouped better at 40 yards than air arms Diablo field, and even 10 grain JSBs. The JSB exact 4.51mm were on par, but can’t get hold of any for love nor money. I hope my hours and hours of testing have helped someone with a wolverine R in .177!
I'm getting the same, but with the BSA R10se.
A couple of years ago I lived in a house with two giant oak trees in the back yard. Squirrels were every where, including my attic. Had to hire a guy for $500 to trap them and get them out. Had to have roof repairs for $700, another repair a year later $300. Bought a air rifle (cheap, $140, no scope() and killed close to 150 of the buggers from my bedroom window, before I moved. That is why I shoot them today. at another home.
"I wish I had less power", said no one ever.....
I have tried the QYS pellets in my impact renegade and bsa ultra they would not be my first choice. AA away do a good job in my above air weapons i found the QYS on the poor side so don't use they might have improved. I gave some to a friend he was not impressed ,he has a daystate, brocock and BSA and uses bisley magnum as his first choice pellets.
Hi matt I do like your reviews just on a note about QYS pellets I have a bsa 1.77 r10 and it likes the qys pellets and so does my hw110 I also have a walther rotex rm8. 22 so I am waiting for the qys pellets to try in it to see if it likes them keep up the great reviews colin
DEAR MATT, JUST WONDERED WHY YOU DON'T REPLY TO ANY OF YOUR SUBSCRIBER'S QUESTIONS/QUERIES!!!
I hope your eating those squirrels..good eats👍
My HW100 shot those 9.56 grain streamlines better than anything else. Just about supernatural accuracy 👌 I hope the 0.22 they produce are in the same league!
I wish I had a different rifle for every day of the week
My dad used a air riffle when I was fishing im 10 by the way and also he sold it but on Christmas he's getting the one that his dad has rhite now cool
Great vid Matt, what teeth whitening are you using 😀

Paul, do you have something against conservation?
Paul the moron 🙄
I can not find the price of his airgun anywhere!
Hi matt I use qys pellets in my air rifles a bsa r10th hw110 and a walther rotex rm8 varmint and they all like these pellets when they bring out the .22i will be trying them in my other gun will let you know how the .22 performs keep up the fantastic reviews colin
Some great shooting Matt, I've just set up a few feeding stations on an estate, what would you say is the best time, to shot them Squirrels 😎
Great day on the bushy tails 😁
Do you know when the .22 pellets are coming out be interesting trying on my old Faithfull AAS410 carbine It went off the air arms diablos so try Hades and she loves that
Cracking show as always

Good morning my dear friends and lovers of PCP FX carbines, just written in your channels, I watch all your videos, I would like to ask for a help to equip my impact FX, here in Brazil I can't find anything for my FX, help me for favor.
Mat,where can i get a hat exactley the same as yours please?
Hey everyone, ive got a question. Where I'm from we are allowed 20 jouls/ 14.7 fpe in .177cal. Is this a significant difference from a UK sub12 foot pound PCP or is the increase in power not very high.(using 8-10 grain pellets) Thanks in advance, sorry if it sounds dumb.
You can clearly see when you shout a squirrel with an FAC gun it’s much better than with sub 12 ft air rifle, far more humane, time to ban 12 ft Lbs for hunting
I shoot squirrels with a sub 12ft lb hw100 and it’s perfect I also shoot rabbits out to 40yds no problem so no I don’t think it’s time to ban hunting with a sub 12lb rifle
Give me maveric m3
My .22 i.pact has +80 ftlbs with slugs. Who the hell use pellets. Bc is awful
Looking forward to trying the 22 version
Yet another brilliant episode .Thank you
One of the most enjoyable airgun channels to watch. Loved seeing the FAC Impact MKII being put to good use.
Darn tree rats with bushy tails them squirrels , cause so much destruction. I had about 5-6 that would ruin my crop of fruit on my small acreage every season . I finally took out about 4 of them and problem stopped.
i've recently made an order for slugs from h&n(we're talking thousands of dollars worth of slugs) all the tins contain burr and no protection at all concerning the slugs; str8 to the metal tin,
haven't seen such shitty deal since my slugs order from Norica !
now i know how important it is for projectiles to b hand picked.
Really enjoyed this . Great shooting
Nice video, but time to change your head wear.
Odd that Gray Squirrels gnaw the bark on your trees ? I live in Georgia USA and Grays are rampant but I see no evidence of them chewing bark ..
I live in the south of England tree damage by the squirrel is quite bad they gnaw at the base of young and old trees as well as higher up 😩
Wonderful as always, thanks for sharing 👍
Hello from Idaho. You have some cool videos
Great hunting and great review/ test as always. Well done Mat. 👏
Some great shots there Matt. Definitely think you have a lot of them to contend with. Keep plugging away at them.
