TBF, it is a weird title. If it wasn't for the Jurassic Park logo, the title could have been a Lost World sequel with a first film that was never made.
I've checked the comment section of the Speilberg ranking several times, and throughout all of my searches, I couldn't come across a single comment talking about Always. I guess he wasn't lying when he said the movie has "no fans."
For those of you who want to watch a GOOD movie with John Goodman and Holly Hunter starring together, just watch Raising Arizona. It also stars Nic Cage which automatically makes it better
How to make Schaf's least favorite movie: Make it be simultaneously boring and frustrating while also having the most annoying and unlikable characters ever.
Always was a movie that I saw with my parents several years ago. I didn't even know it was directed by Spielberg until you brought it up. In fact, I completely forgot about it's existence until specifically at 2:14, which happens to be one of the few scenes i remember. This is an extremely forgettable movie that could have been so much better.
At least the good thing that came out of this is that Spielberg choose John Goodman to play Fred Flintstone in the 1994 film, after his experience work on this movie.
Gotta say, Tintin was leagues above this, like this ranking will indicate later. The pacing was a little overdrive, but that is preferable to Always' dull tone. Tintin flew through a storm with a Scotish sailor who fought with a psycho using a crane, and Haddock's ancestor fought pirates from a ship that hung over his! And it managed to make the cliche "we will meet again" scene fresh and epic! What does Always have? Little more than some confusing directions and really boring scenes.
What's the music that plays in the second half of the review? For the first half, Ikana Valley from Majora's Mask is playing in the background, then when he says "Oh, because I f**king lied! That's not what the movie is about!" A different song takes over. It starts being audible around 3:33. What's the name of that new song?
For that matter, let me add "Beyond the Black Rainbow" to that prestigious list of Films that Sound Unhinged but are Really Boring. Film about a girl running from a psychotic killer with telekinesis and escaping an underground lab, and it's so boring and plodding in its plot.
I’d honestly rather take Always over 1941 and The BFG, cause it does have an interesting premise and it’s heart and emotional core are in the right place but the execution isn’t as good and was done way better in films with similar premises like Ghost. Also, does he know that this was actually a remake of an older 40s movie and not an original screenplay?
Shout out to Schaff for calling it 'Jurassic Park: The Lost World' and not 'The Lost World: Jurassic Park'

Definitely gotta give Schaff props, most other people probably would’ve put ready player one at the very bottom, but he subverted those expectations.
Ready player one is good tho
And to think, this was Audrey Hepburn's final movie she was ever in. What a waste of an iconic actress.
I hate it when that happens to good actors who are reaching the end of their life/career
3:19 oooh Elasti Girl (Holly Hunter) talking to Sulley (John Goodman) before Pixar’s finest characters. Ooh😮

Schaff needs to do a Coen brothers ranking
Raising Arizona is one of my favorite films the Coen Brothers have ever made.
The build up to this movie being shown as the worst film is some of the best ever done by Schaff
So true.
say hello... to thE BEE EFF GEE
@@siberiasian hello big f*cking giant, sorry your remake had to be made by Disney

I literally never want to watch this movie ever.
Honestly, I'm glad Ready Player One isn't the worst Spielberg movie
I only remember this movie as a videocassette that exists in my house. I've never watched it. I think I should probably keep it that way.

I'd never heard of this movie before I saw his Spielberg ranking video.

Learned from Hats Off Entertainment's latest video that John Goodman was told he would be in The Flintstones while on the set of this movie.

The fakeouts in this section is still one of my favorite parts of the entire video lol

Puns: And “always” will be

Hot take: This movie is NOWHERE NEAR as bad as Dial of Destiny
Maybe so, but Dial of Destiny wasn't directed by Spielberg
I really don’t wanna watch this movie and would probably skip this movie if I ever did a Spielberg marathon
Lotta hate here. Personally, I love the film and so does everyone one I've ever watched it with. Still have the DVD.
I’m dreading watching this one honestly
Then don’t
Please upload his a.i artificial intelligence segment

This will “always” be the worst one.
day 3 of asking for schaf to talk about “miyazakis best movie since spirited away” boy and the heron
Painful.
I honestly found Always okay. My worst of Spielberg's movies has to be 1941 for me.
And even then, the latter's a 5/10.
Sorry. THE TERMINAL is Spielberg's worst. ALWAYS is just........dull.
This might be the worst movie with Keith David in it.
Take that.Sean Chandler put Always as the worst before the Wes Anderson ranking.
He put it above 1941
I actually like this movie but this is pretty entertaining
I actually enjoy this film, idk i find it charming, its ok to hate it though
But below 1941 is insane
He describes Always as if it’s worse than Hop & What’s Up being pro-racism
Just because a movie isn't actively offensive, doesn't mean it's immune to criticism, especially if said movie is as boring as Always
Watch bobobo Bo Bo bobo
69th like :)
