Works perfect with 1998 Audi A4 1.8T AEB. Unplugged my MAF sensor to get the car to throw a code. Connected this scanner, read the code, Reset the code, and even tested my O2 sensor. Could do all of the above with Vagcom except i was never able to get a reading for my o2 sensor with vagcom for some reason. This tool works just fine on my older german vehicle. great review. if i wanted to see if the owner of a used vehicle had just cleared the codes to remove the CEL, would I get an indication of that by looking at READINESS OK and READINESS INC numbers?

How do you view the 'Readiness INC'?
I was thinking this would be useful to test the effect of a Intake Valve cleaner like SeaFoam or CRC gdi ivc, look at the Cat, Fuel, O2 sensor readings before, then after a treatement...to see if it actually made any difference...or did any damage to the Cat converter and O2 sensors.

Just erase the code once you fixed the issue. You cannot turn off the engine light off if the problem is not fixed

It doesn’t work on my 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan. I can get vehicle info but the diagnosis doesn’t work. Maybe I need a more expensive one
Not impressed with this obd2 reader. Bought it to try to diagnose my daughter’s 2012 fiat punto ABS, ASR, ESP and Hill holder fault lights on dashboard. However this code reader shows no fault codes present, which I find hard to believe.
Do u have the car running during this or just the key on?

I bought this and the DTC shows 2 and then when I read codes it shows no faults found.
Can you read the mileage of your car with this device?
Will this show injector faults?
If you have a fault code set for injector out of range etc then yes it will read it.

what does the 'EVAP TEST MODE" do? most important function.........
The EVAP system has both a Purge and a VENT side that has a little electric plunger that is either open or closed. When you start the car the purge opens up and the valve closes causing all the gas fumes to be sucked into the injection system for burning.
That test simply open and closes both those gates to see if they return an Open/Close checksum. If one is stuck or broke the scanner will show you.
@@ftswarbill No it doesnt actually, I bought this scanner it does less work then the same price Foxwell I gave away. THe evap test simply tells you if the test has been performed but that is the same as checking the evap monitor for a pass. It's a waste buying this unit expecting it to test stuff, it does non of that.
It can't even check individual PIDs for faster response when I only want to check an 02 sensor voltage swing.
Is this compatible with Seat ibiza 2004? I ordered this before 10 days but i'm afraid this will not work with my vag car system. Have you ever test this on seat-skoda-vw-audi?
Tried on 2 VAG cars, worked with a Fabia 2003...but not with a Fabia 2005 :/ And not working with a Opel Vectra B

Will this do a relearn on throttle body?

Not a mechanic. I installed a new throttle body on an 07 caliber. Having a hard time getting the car to reprogram/relearn the new throttle.
You need search more advance scan tool for relearn on throttle body
