I'm a retired postmaster who loves to detail "daily drivers" here in beautiful northern Michigan. I purchased this wax last summer and absolutely love the beautiful shine and the versatility of the product, not to mention saving me valuable time detailing. Thanks for your very informative videos...I'm now a subscriber!
Best product ever. I own a show car with everything chrome on the engine bay. Thanks to the video I use it on engine, paint, interior, glass and aluminum rims. In the interior after applying I rubb it with a clean one and it comes out very shiny. Nothing better on the market.
Good observation on "leather" in interiors; it may be real leather, but the finishes are not the same as old-fashioned tanned hides with smooth side waxed, as saddles or old shoes. The synthetic finishes are what need the care and caution regarding treatments applied.
Hey Darren, after watching your vid on Meg's Synthetic Express Wax, I had to try It for myself. Been detailing and making cars beautiful here in Florida for more than 30 years. I used MG's xpress wax on a Range Rover Sport ( int/ext ) and this product is simply amazing!! keep up the good work! Godfrey Boss Detailer
A few years ago it struck me that since a boat spends most of it's time going through water at high speed a good boat wax should work well on a car . I bought some boat wax at Canadian Tire and my car was still beading a year later
Darren great videos I'm a big fan. I just retired from being a heavy equipment tech and started a wash and wax business . Just part time. I have been using Turtle wax Ice in the same way I don't know how they compare but I am now going to try xpress. Thanks again for the videos.
you really got WAY to few viewers.. you deserve more (y) you helped me out plenty of occasions man. thanks . ill keep forwarding you channel to people i need for help :) as a thank you greetings from holland
Top tip, meguirs last touch is also worth having as its great indoors, the shuts, and as a general detail spray - smells great too which customers love, good after a deep apc clean. Saves my xpress wax for outside
just got some of this Synthetic Xpress wax, looking forward to trying it. Took your advice on the Meguiars all purpose cleaner and super degreaser and am very pleased with the performance of both products so got to try the express wax too!
This is good material all I need to get started with is: Mequiar's all purpose cleaner, X wax, Costco rags, wax applicators and maybe a side bottle of window cleaner. I think I will spend the next two months practicing on my car and then venture out.
Worked in OE Mercedes and Audi bodyshop and your statement on coatings of leather is so true! Had you ever used the M135 synthetic detailed? Meguirs no longer makes it so I bought the X press wax. Hope it works the same. The M135 was an awesome in between using zilon paint sealant. Zilon has kept my 10 yr old Chevy truck looking like the day I bought it.
With the Xpress Wax not really being made for the interior, how will the interior hold up against the suns rays? I use Meguiar's Ultimate Interior Protectant because of the UV blockers and conditioning properties. Does Xpress wax have UV blocking?
Darren, I was told (by more than one source) the 'hazy film' that typically builds up on the windows inside a car is caused by, among other things, fumes that the interior plastics let off as they age and are exposed to the UV rays of the sun. Any truth to this? If it is true, does the Xpress Wax replenish those, for lack of a better description, oils in the plastic parts of a cars interior? If it is false, thanks for straightening me out. FYI, I have for some number of years used spray wax/detailer on the windows inside my house. Not only do they sparkle, but cleaning them becomes a breeze with a simple wipe of a damp micro-fiber towel when they get dirty again. Just make sure when doing this for the first time it is a nice spring/fall day that allows you to have all the windows open to air out the place. Otherwise your wife will want to know what that smell is. It works rings around normal window cleaners that typically streak.
I use this inside/outside of house windows, too. I remember as a kid using Gold Seal Glass Wax (in a pink can) on the windows of my parent's house. I loved that stuff. The windows gleamed and held up to stormy weather, but what a dusty mess to deal with when wiping off the dried wax. The X-Wax is every bit as good, and so clean and easy to apply and wipe down. Cheers!
question. I have an Impala FAR from the level of work you do and cars you are on. However, I had a film that would not come off the windows, I tried everything until one day I researched it for a while. I learned that application of such materials evaporate during hot days and stick to the glass creating this film. I had to believe it because it took me several hours of using pure ammonia to cut threw it and remove it (was told that ammonia or vinegar and newspaper will make the glass sparkle and yes it does). Now I have a 2013 f150 with nothing but plastic inside and am worried about putting such products on the inside. I use warm water and dish soap to clean everything. I have Meguiar's Natural Shine for black exterior trim though not sure if the product can be used on the exterior. I would like to know how to care for mine a bit better than I did my impala. I DID have that car shine like your work does and man it was nice just to look at it all except the damn windows. Anyway, thanks for your time and take care
Thank you, I just bought 2 containers of Meguiars Mirror Glaze M26 Hi-Tech Yellow wax & 1 Gallon of this Synthetic Xtreme spray wax - thanks to you. When I wash my vehicle, my issue is bugs on the front. Whats your preferred way of removing bugs & junk from the front of vehicles? I never see any videos of professionals using Bug & Tar remover. Mike C.
Great video! Can you use this on 10-12 year old Mercedes leather? *Because you said that you use it on everything, but I wonder if my car's leather still has the protectant you mentioned.
After watching this I started to wonder what else can i apply the wax on in my house. Tried it on my macbook pro, and it looks allot better and really pops now. going to try it on steel kitchen appliances next.
I love this stuff my new favorite detail product thanks to you Darren amazing! Do you use Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer? What are your thoughts on it thank you. Paul
Adams Polishes total interior detailed acts like this in many ways. Leaves a matte like finish and is not greasy etc. Makes me wonder if it's basically a synthetic spray wax.
The true definition of a sunroom is one that cannot be seen through or transparent. Basically it's a cutout of the vehicle body. A moonroof doesn't need to retract to be a "moonroof." If it's transparent, and in the roof of the vehicle, it's a moonroof.
I don't know how synthetic wax conditions rubber without UV protection, 303 aerospace protectant has UV protection and keeps rubber from drying out, so they say. Maybe it does have rubber conditioning properties in it, is it a Parafin, micro crystalline or carnuba wax, or is it petroleum jelly in liquid form?
Never thought of using spray wax on plastic cool will try it. Wow that's a almost a 56k car. Looks brand new! That's was my first impression thought it was a new car (less than 2 years old). Will get some Xpress wax for sure now. To be honest was thinking of getting it a while back. But didn't get around to purchase due mainly it doesn't last very long but since you can use it as a all rounder will get it now. Have try one aother spray on wax (Autoglym Aqua wax) which I used half of it but not use it like 2-3 months now cause I use other products. Another good video keep it up!!! Thanks. PS. Any other spray wax you can recommend.
woncho1 See part 3? I show 2 other waxes I also like. Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax and Optimum Spray Wax. And I am pretty sure the Range Rover is much closer to 100K if I recall...at least in this part of the country.
So, I like the Xpress but what is the best thing to use for UVprotection for your dash, leather and steering wheel? Does that matter? What if it's a collectible car that should keep it's value for 20 30 and more years?
Darren I really appreciate all your videos. Do you like the Xpress Wax better than the trim shine on black interiors? Particularly on the door panels. Did you create the BMW video from last week (the one with the young man you interviewed) before you started this? Thank you and please keep up with the videos, as a weekend detail warrior, you have saved me a ton of time and money!
Hello Darren, thank a lot for the videos could you tell me How well works the Xpress Wax in the engine bay? (after it is washed) Best regards Walter Ceorn
Walter Ceron I don't recommend it in the engine bay. Have a look at this page: www.best-auto-detailing-tips.com/clean-car-engine.html And this video: ua-cam.com/video/JdjoKMA5PaE/v-deo.html
Do you have a video of you actually using this product? Do you spray it all over the exterior and wipe off or should I spray it on a microfiber and wipe the paint?
Hey Darren, this was a very good product advise. Even that it is a little bit hard to get here in Germany I'm using it now for a couple of months and it is great! But I have a question: Did you ever use the X-Press Wax on plastic parts of the engine bay after detailing the engine? Would it work there too?
LoudLife Detailing Wash the engine with degreaser and a brush, rinse off, and then spray on a layer of Autoglym Rubber & Vinyl Care. Let it sit for 15min before wiping it off with a microfiber cloth.
Hi, Darren I know im going of subject but can you talk about how to polish, wax in between door handles. What's your recommended method to remove scratches and etc.
Something ive bumped into when i was to use dressing on steering wheels was that it became slippery to customers as they would use gloves to drive. I would like to try the spray wax and see how that looks, but would it still be a slippery surface is the question?
Hey Darren I love your work and I am a new car detailer and I would really appreciate it if u made a video for products and tips for beginner detailers thank you +autofetishdetail
Is Xpress wax any different than the Ultimate Quik Wax? Can I use it the same way? I just got a bottle of the Quik Wax and wondered if I can use it up first before switching to the gallon xpress.
Ryan Costa Suede, NO. I have never seen perforated suede, but you can use on perforated leather. And thanks for tuning in!! Great question; did not think to address the suede variable.
the209ceres From what Darren is saying, leather conditioners don't really make any sense, since the leather is typically coated with a material *similar* to clear coat. I love how he cuts through all the BS. :)
David Bryant Either you are viewing on a mobile device which displays differently, or you are watching so quickly that I have not had time to add the links which I do immediately after making them public. As I write this, I can see the link below the video itself.
Auto Fetish Detail Ok thanks. My phone won't show any links. I'll check on the laptop. Sorry if I came off rude. Thanks for the great videos and all the time you spend making them. You mentioned a product called wheel bright. If you haven't already would you show this product in use. Agian thanks.
David Bryant No worries; I am not easily offended. It is called wheel brightener and see this link: www.best-auto-detailing-tips.com/car-wheel-cleaner.html
Yeah always learning curve like life?! No matter what kind of job anyone do, if you want to improve you have to learn more. On the gallon products I normally purchase at the higher volume cause I get much more per cost & I'm only a enthusiast, for example I just need to pay £20 for a product normally cost £9 but I get 3 times the amount just make sense if you can/willing. Of cause must be a product you going to use.

Just ordered a gallon of x-press wax Darren. So while I wait for it to arrive, I decided to do more research. Glad I came across this video!!
Blessed experience. The less chemicals needed, the more money and time i save. Thank you man!!

That is thinking outside the box. I will try this for sure. Thanks for all the videos.

Watching these videos and seeing the different uses for various products, has saved me a lot on time and money when detailing!

Appreciate your time Darren, thanks for the common sense application which isn't so common it seems. It is refreshing.
I know this video is 2 years old now but are you still using this Express was? Or have you found something better now. Thanks
just got some of this Synthetic Xpress wax, looking forward to trying it. Took your advice on the Meguiars all purpose cleaner and super degreaser and am very pleased with the performance of both products so got to try the express wax too!
I spray X wax on the kids snow outfits to repel water esp. the pant legs. Also work jackets to keep the rain out.
Can you do a timelapse video of you detailing a car?
Im happy with level 9 on the daily driver, APC does it all, carpets, plastics, jsut not windows, but they do a new one that does! Win win
This is good material all I need to get started with is: Mequiar's all purpose cleaner, X wax, Costco rags, wax applicators and maybe a side bottle of window cleaner. I think I will spend the next two months practicing on my car and then venture out.
Stickey Fingers Sounds like a decent plan of action.
They really need to send you some free stuff because as soon as I watched this I bought some

Paul Rhodes I used to use the quik interior until I started using the Megs synthetic Xpress wax to finish the inside's with.
not for sale in the belgium site of meguiars... goddamed

Did you heard about canadian Krown all purpose cleaner degreaser - green liquid.. here in Latvia is no Meguiars but this cleaner in stores..
My leather in my truck is expensive I used McGuire wipes it left streaks and greasy is there a difference between wipes and spray.
in a nutshell, you use the press wax on everything but carpet or cloth type materials
Amazing Darren ! Thank you !
What a great advertisement for Tesla. The car is bad ass.

What makes this was "synthetic"? Does that mean that it is able to withstand High Temperatures that unfortunately "carnuba" cant?
Great info and thanks Darren !
I love this stuff and use it on just about everything.
TL;DR: Xpress Wax I use that shit on everything.
Could the wax on the seats make the slippery. Could it cause an accident. Just curious.
Being a spray wax, how often would you have to do the exterior..? I'm assuming it doesn't last as long as a paste wax, am I right..?
I love all your videos and been detailing cars for several years. To me you can never have enough short cuts!!
Ron
than k u darren i will be purchasing this

Try using 303 Aerospace Protectant - best detailing product on earth
how do you restore the plastic if it's already oxidized
I used this on the outside of my car and you can see the streak marks where I wiped??????
Great videos! Love the information!
Hello Darren, can I use Meguiar's Synthetic Xpress Wax on rubber or tires instead of using a dressing?
subscribed and liked! awesome video. I'm convinced and I'm ordering me one.
love your vids, keep them coming.
you said all the same stuff only with a different vehicle on the first video. are all 4 videos the same? Can I stop at 2?
Do you have a video of you actually using this product? Do you spray it all over the exterior and wipe off or should I spray it on a microfiber and wipe the paint?

Hi, Darren
I know im going of subject but can you talk about how to polish, wax in between door handles. What's your recommended method to remove scratches and etc.
Is this different from the quick wax offered by the meguiars?
So at any point would you use a leather conditioner like a mink oil base conditioner?
Is this kind of like Maguires ultimate quick wax
Have you ever used Garry Deans "Infinite Use Detail Juice"
Darren, I just want to know if you no longer use glass cleaner on the nav or dials? Just dusting, them the x wax?
Something ive bumped into when i was to use dressing on steering wheels was that it became slippery to customers as they would use gloves to drive. I would like to try the spray wax and see how that looks, but would it still be a slippery surface is the question?
+Dtinsider I used to use gloves when I stole cars also, now I drive my own I no longer wear them
Good job Randall! Put that on your resume!
Great point great video tfs
Thanks for the informative review! ... wondering whether you have tried Griot's Garage Spray-On Wax?
Just wondering any tips on seat belts, thanks Daivd from Ireland,
I'm still confused regarding this product.
So does it clean ( remove dirt grime) at the same time leaves a protecting coat of wax and shine
He said in the video that he uses the all-purpose cleaner to clean the interior, then he finishes /protects / dresses the interior with the x-wax.
You convinced me to buy a gallon of it. Do I dilute it or use it straight ?
Ricardo Chavez Straight....
Auto Fetish Detail thanks for the quick reply sir. I love your videos , keep em rolling !
Please do anyone Knows if i can substitute the megs x-wax with the sonax BSD (brillaint shine detailer)...for all thease uses???
Hey Darren I love your work and I am a new car detailer and I would really appreciate it if u made a video for products and tips for beginner detailers thank you +autofetishdetail
great vid. what do u use for the touchscreen?
Is Xpress wax any different than the Ultimate Quik Wax? Can I use it the same way? I just got a bottle of the Quik Wax and wondered if I can use it up first before switching to the gallon xpress.
same product. the d156 is the "detailer" version and quick wax is the consumer version (the one u find at the regular stores)
funny Car. A newer TESLA model S 60kw... with 21's but one rim is dark grey..
Great video.. I'll be buying this stuff for my car! ty
How about suede and perforated suede? By the way love your channel Darren, I have really learned quite a bit
Ryan Costa Suede, NO. I have never seen perforated suede, but you can use on perforated leather. And thanks for tuning in!! Great question; did not think to address the suede variable.
Thanks Darren, I did a 2001 lexus is300 and it looked just like suede and it was perforated
Ryan Costa Likely it is a synthetic suede like Alcantara, and I don't recommend using the spray wax on anything like that.
Question what about cloth seats
Hi, what do you use for undercarriege?
Hey Darren, just wondering.
Instead of buying meguiar's APC, can I just use an APC from target?
yoshi90901 I am sure you could; just spot test it first.
hmm i never seen you spray it on.. actually, so its something similar to F11 formula
You are the man! keep it up.
Are you going to replace synthetic express wax for quick interior detailer when it come to the interior?
Larry Duran No. He replaced quick interior detailer for x-press wax . He will not use quick interior detailer anymore, it's not needed .
Sorry, I structured the question wrong; lol.
can u put leather conditioner from chemicals guys an then on top can u put spray wax?
the209ceres From what Darren is saying, leather conditioners don't really make any sense, since the leather is typically coated with a material *similar* to clear coat. I love how he cuts through all the BS. :)
