This is my absolute go to move to help ease tension & stress and part of my nightly routine.
When we are stressed or in pain we tend to be in fight or flight mode more often than we should.
When we are stressed and anxious it can lead to gripping and tension creating too much intra-abdominal pressure. Too much pressure can lead to pelvic floor dysfunction like leaks, pains, prolapse, digestive issues and more.
Stimulating the vagus nerve can be very helpful in bringing us back to rest and digest mode and ease tension & gripping.

How does this make my pelvic floor thank me?
When we are stressed that creates tension, tightness and gripping. We can change how we are breathing as well. All of this impacts the pelvic floor and can contribute to a tight pelvic floor. Working on vagus nerve stimulation helps to calm the nervous system and help with stress and easing tension.

I have dysautonomia which causes both tachycardia and gastroparesis. Is there a way to lower my hr without also slowing my digestion down more than it already is?? Im hoping a vns can help some of the dysauto issues but worried it could make some worse?
