    I wanted to present to you my top 10 wish list but this video ended up being a lot harder to put together than I anticipated. Casio has released literally thousands of watches since it's debut in 1974, so trying to pick 10 out of around 100 was difficult to say the least.
    Please help support this channel and collector community by subscribing, sharing and leaving comments. Thanks.

    I loved this video! I especially appreciated how quickly you scrolled through all 10 watches. My favorite Casio is the first Casio from 1974. The Casiotron 01-501. It's pure. It's clean. It's revolutionary and it sank the Swiss watch industry. The Casiotron was the Kamikaze of watches. If I were on a superyacht I would wear a Casiotron without shame.

    Add the TS-100/150 and TE-2500 to the list. Also add one of those voice recording watches to the list too hehe. I have flipped a AE-200 and own the CFX-200, the predecessor of the CFX-400.

    My favourite Casios are the F-100, because that was my first Casio, bought in 1978, and the VDB-1000 touch-screen graphic dot-matrix display one, that I also had sometimes in the 1990s.

      For sure. I found a badly battered and corroded Casio CA-901 at a flea market and it was selling for fifty ZAR (3.45 USD). I bought it without thinking twice and brought it back from the dead with NOS parts purchased on eBay to replace case and top pushers. I also cleaned module, which had a lot of battery acid leakage. Now it is fully working again and I am thrilled.

    The game watches especially a gm 401. I have 4. Only 1 works perfect. You have to play several levels of the game mode to discover if its faulty or not. I have 2 nos condition. 1 works without freezing the other once you play a few levels of the game freezes. Have to refit battery carefully which can take up to 10 mins. ( replacing batteries on vintage casios is extremely tricky)

    Very interesting list! Some watches that I didn't know yet.
    I have a DBX-100 with the keyboard in good condition. Bought it about 10 to 15 years ago new for 80 Euro. The keyboard had indeed melted, but quite some time later someone was selling a NOS case on eBay, so I bought it and haven't worn the watch since.
    I own a small collection of Casio watches and like the FS-02 a lot, with a round dot-matrix display, digit or dial modes, cool animations, databank and EL backlight. I also have an Aegis tele-pad watch, which is a VDB-1000 with the dot-matrix touch display. I was expecting to see that one in your list.
    I also have the surfing game watch (bought new a couple of years ago), shown in your intro, but it needs the wristband pins and I don't know their diameter. A digital plus jump-hour watch and the count down timer watch with the count down dial. Among some other interesting models. I also lucked out with a new alarm clock version of the Cosmo Phase watch, for only 10 Euro.

    • @digitalcasio2704
      @digitalcasio2704  4 роки тому +1

      Congratulations on your DBX-100. I had so many choices for the video and the VDB-1000 was a contender along with the DB-1000.

      @@digitalcasio2704 The DB-1000 is a very cool watch as well.
      I really lucked out with my DBX-100, I didn't know about it when I bought it, I just really liked the design and the dot matrix display. And then I lucked out with the replacement housing as well.

    I would swap the CFX-400 for the CFX-200 especially from a collectors perspective. The buttons on the CFX-400 are highly affected by their age. It's almost impossible to really use it without damaging the panel where you have to press.
    The CFX-200 on the other hand has pushers that stood the test of time. I purchased a CFX-200 and i regulary use it despite it is a quite expensive vintage watch. Also the Design is more unique on the CFX-200. The CFX-400 looks like a modern DBC-611

    Amazed at your level of knowledge. I'm on a quest to find again the Casio watch I had as a kid in the mid-90s but I don't know where to start, aside from my blurry memories of the watch.
