i got a 91 four trax i was having trouble getting the front brakes to bleed out i think i got the answer for the problem from you thanjkk you

I have a 1994 Fourtrax 4x2, but my front brake wheel cylinders mount on the top and the bottom instead of on the sides as I see in all the videos. My wheel cylinders look different too. Since most of the Fourtrax on these videos are 4x4s, does that make the difference, my hub doesn't have all those ribs on the outside of it, nor does it have two small bolts to take out first. My bleeder valves are on the top in a tight position between the back of the wheel and the a-arm. I replaced the front brakes and wheel cylinders, but I'm having a time getting the brakes to adjust enough to completely stop it as it rolls. Any positive comments would be appreciated. There are some key differences on the 4x4 versus 2x4 but to be honest I have not worked on many 2 wheel drive models. But I have had several of these Honda that the front brakes just would not bleed out right. One of the things I usually do is take the master cylinder and clean it completely out the start with fresh fluid to make sure it not contaminated. second thing I have found on a few models is the junction block that splits from one line to two lines before going to the front brakes can get stopped up or plugged from corrosion. 3rd thing is The lines might not be leaking to where you can see them but are rotting from the inside. Best way to tell that is to look for a swells in the lines or really hard spots. I hope this helps

Them brakes can be difficult. I done some for a buddy and I had a hard time with that rear brake drum it was seized on the axel hope you don't get into that. God Bless

Where did you get the return spring for the brake pedal? I cannot see where your parts are listed in the description. I have Googled the part number 46514-HC4-000 and nobody has it. Thanks

My reservoir won’t pump up hard.. I put all 4 wheel cylinders new on my 300 4x4… the reservoir is new also…. Any ideas, I’m getting new clear fluid outta the bleeders….
Does your new reservoir have a floating plate in it like a stock Honda reservoir? If it does make sure its in there when your bleeding the brakes. Sometimes with the small reservoir tank it will blow bubbles back up and makes it harder to bleed. The next thing I would do is close the bleeders and fill the reservoir . Then pump the lever as fast as you can for a minute or so. ( we had to do this when we was building choppers and they had all new master cylinders on them). Its sounds weird but sometimes it works. After pumping and if it feels like your getting pressure then pump it 6 solid times and hold it, slowly release the bleeder and repeat the other side. Let me know where you end up on this please.

I’m having heck with my front lever rear brake cable. Slacked horribly and it’s tightened as much as i can get it
Is it a factory cable? new cable? A lot of times they get stretched over time or rust inside the cable from moisture and they loose a few strands of wire and it stretch's.
I bought a 300 fourtrax this week. The front brake reservoir was dry. Filled it and I'm getting plenty of fluid to the right brakes but cant get any to come out of the left. Any suggestions?
Those lines are notorious for swelling and blocking. I would take it loose at the wheel cylinder and see if you can get fluid there if not back up to the splitter up under the fenders that ties the brake lines together and see if you have fluid there.
I bet your front left line has collapsed.
@@pineylife Thanks for the info. I took it loose at the wheel and nothing. It looked to me like the line was made into the splitter.The line going into the splitter was loose and gushing fluid. Probably why the reservoir was dry. Im betting you're correct because the right brake worked great even with the left line detached.
Those hoses are known for expanding over time. Keep me posted on your progress. These comments are always helpful to other people.
@@pineylife Im just rolling with it for now. The one front brake works surprisingly well and the back brakes are good.
