POST DEER SEASON PREP AND BUCK INVENTORY!

Take a ride with us as we get out and run around the lease to put out corn and trail cameras. This was a great trip with the boss of piney life BRIAR. Little man is learning the ropes. #pineylife #itsalwaysdeerseason #deerseason2025

With the last day of season coming to a end we drop some corn to take inventory of the bucks that survived. This time of year is the perfect time to look at relocating stands and seeing what needs to be trimmed up or removed for next season. Dropping the corn brought several survivor's out into open. Looks like next season is gonna be awesome.

      He was hit by a car during the rut of 2023 right beside our lease. Knocked him out for a minute but he came too and limped off. I was called and went to look for him but couldn’t find him. We figured he had limped off and died and maybe coyotes got him. Lo and behold he showed up during spring.

    Did you vent the master cylinder? Or check the level of the brake fluid before starting? I was wondering if it showed a significant drop in sync with the wear?

      @pineylife 4 дні тому

      I do not vent the master cylinder on my side x sides or cars unless they are on the max line. I did check the reservoir before and after pumping the brakes. I should have added it to the video. Great catch and thanks for watching.

    This is a nice 300. I have the 88 and now I will wrap it after seeing your video. Those steel foot rests are the best upgrade too. Was it easy to mount the winch? No brackets available online. I bought a Polar 1200 dump trailer and it has hauled tons things from wood, dirt, rock, stone, you name it. My understanding you can damage the trans if you don't use the 23/24 inch tire diameter ratio on the 4WD. Also, after market carbs are no comparison to a simple OEM rebuild kit. Thanks for posting!

    • @pineylife
      @pineylife 3 дні тому

      Thank you. Those steel foot rest are the best upgrade. They kept me from getting hurt several times with debri popping up. I actually made the winch mount off of my buddy 93. His had a mount that he got from somewhere he couldn’t remember. I fabricated this one. I heard the same thing about tire size. I only went up one size. Now the worst thing I ever did was do the 2 inch monster lift. I wore out front axles after that. I recommend anyone to just leave them stock height. I also agree with you on the carb. This one has a Carlisle now but wish I had never changed from the stock carb. Thank you for watching and commenting my friend.

    • @SteveAddis
      @SteveAddis 3 дні тому

      @@pineylife Thanks for letting me know about the lift issue. I replaced one axle, one steering bar bushing, battery, exhaust, rebuilt the starter, carb, and the thing runs like, amazing, no smoke nothing. Like to put a oil cooler on it if it were possible, though it may not need it. First time I rode it, I found the left hand clutch did not work when I shifted like my previous motorcycle and realized the left hand clutch is a brake! Standing on the pegs it is too dangers and "if" you slip off say goodbye to a leg. I save every part and that included the old Nipon carb, thankfully. Drove it today hauling a load of cut tree tops up the hill and away from the house. My realtor gave it to me, one of the best gifts ever! Take care.

    1/4” is 4/16” or 0.25” decimal. 5/16” (0.3125”) is 1/16” larger than 1/4” You hose wall is more than 5/16” outside diameter. If it was the rubber hose wall thickness would be 1/32” ([0.3125”-0.2500”)/2= 0.03125”)= 1/32”. 7/16” minimum+ may be more reasonable. As a guess, your tubing is that or 1/2”. I may be wrong, because I’m still newer to bow hunting. I’ve researched that you should try to shoot when the deers head is lifted. You do it because deer naturally drop their heads before running. If you shoot while their head is down, the deer is already a step closer to high tailing it. If the head is up, it will take them a split second longer to take off, giving your bow the slit second it needs to hit. If I’m mistaken I would honestly love to learn otherwise. Like I said I’m new to this and would love to learn.

    • @pineylife
      @pineylife 8 днів тому
