TJ, my friend, what a pleasant surprise to see your review of the BeneHike Bivvyy V2 rooftop tent! As a factory, we are thrilled to bring high-value products to more Overlanding enthusiasts. Happy adventuring!
We just bought this from TJ for our cross country trip to the Pacific Northwest where our Pilothouse Trawler awaits for our trip to Desolation Sound and the Sunshine Coast. Thanks TJ
Definitely interested in the strut system for opening the DiamondBack with the RTT installed! I saw someone else that had done this but did not include any details. It's been the main holdout on me getting an RTT.
Very interested in a video showing how you can use/access the front and back of the diamondback. I've been hesitant to get a rooftop tent because I'd lose that ability.
It’s crazy how similar it looks to the Naturnest I just ordered. I think I saw it here on your channel. I wanted a hard shell, this one looks like another excellent option. I like how it slopes down in the back streamlining the overall setup.
I went to an RTT after many years of swag and tent camping and I have to say it’s great for long periods out bush. However I have lost the space on my roof for the kayak so now I have to do the kayak trailer build
Id love to see one with an iptional annex that attaches. We rakeniut dog camping , and he would be ok kenneled below in an annex, but im not lifting him up sky high lol
2 questions, is there much moisture in the tent after a night of sleep? and do you have a video showing you stowing it? im fighting a soft shell right now, lots of moisture in tent after each night everything gets soaked in the tent, and a pain to stow as i got to tuck in all side perfectly or it wont cover.
When you have all the windows and sky light and everything else zipped up, how dark does think thing get? I would loved to have seen that in the review video.😊
What size tires do you got on your wheels I’m restoring a 1993 Toyota 4X4 pickup and those are the rims that I want for it and that size tire on your wheels look prefect
My guess would be sell them. I was hoping he would have actual videos of them being used since the idea is for us to buy the stuff he reviews 🤷🏻♂️. I like the stuff he makes/builds. Just wish we could actually see the stuff in use
TJ, the video was great. Looking at the tent setup in the sun is one thing, make a video when it’s raining like a mother as well as having some wind. Then let see how it performs.
Compare your Benehike tent to the Naturenest in quality please. Significant price difference, but the Naturenest has very usable Tslots on sides, allowing for Awning mount perhaps? I’m no expert. Interesting in both.
Thanks so much for his review! I have been searching for a tent to fit my Jeep Gladiator that I could mount like yours and this fit the bill! UPDATE: I ordered this tent January 23rd after watching this review and I still have not received it after 4 weeks. Very frustrated. UPDATE 2/22/24 - Benehike did own up to the issue, I finally received the RTT, and the company was very apologetic. I appreciated their follow up.
Did you get the struts for opening diamondback with tent yet? I just ordered my diamondback tent shortly so would like some more information on how you mounted the struts to bottom and set up love the videos keep them coming
You review some great products. Serious question though. What happens to all of the RTT's once you review them? Any possibility that they may purchasable?
I would like to see more functionality with that ladder cover. I have not seen the concept of a ladder cover in many tents but it would be better if it also had some hardware to turn into a boot bag or extra storage when not in use. Overall the tent looks to be well made and engineered thoughtfully
I like the video and its really informative, my question may be a little off but do you have 33's or 35's on you TACO? Im currently running 33"s and I am on the fence about moving up to 35's. Any recommendations
Man I’m really interested in getting a tent for my Jeep so my wife and I can get away for the weekend but when I see this companies add and they have a ford raptor tearing up the desert with their tent opened I just have to steer away from this one. I’ve been following your channel for awhile and am leaning towards the topoak if they ever get them in stock. Have you used the topoak?
I think it’s on backwards. The way you have it mounted works best if dispersed camping but at any campground your entrance is competing with the service panel and water hookups.
I like it. Too bad they are out of stock/sold out. The negative I saw is the shell "latch"/closure. If you don't have much clearance between the bottom of the roof top tent and the top of what ever is under it, getting those straps undone would be a pain. My rack system has about 2" of clearance and I can see those straps underneath being difficult.

These are listed as sold out. When do you anticipate them being available?

They just keep getting better, thanks for the information on this tent I like the room this tent offers
Slick design. Loads of room with this floor plan
That’s a really cool tent. Well done TJ! Can’t wait to see more!

Great tent. Love the room and the features
What about rain coming in thru the sky viewing opening?
Shower for free

Good review TJ. For sure I'd like to see a video on the lift system you are designing
Coming soon!
I’d love to see the video on being able to open the diamond back might be able to sell the design to diamond back

I want one .
Man it’s like a roofnest, 23zero, ikamper, even rough country makes this style of RTT now.
Id love to see one with an iptional annex that attaches. We rakeniut dog camping , and he would be ok kenneled below in an annex, but im not lifting him up sky high lol
Hi, can you mount that same benehike tent on the Prinsu roof rack instead of the bed rack?

what do you do with all the previous rooftop tent? send it back after the review video?
My guess would be sell them. I was hoping he would have actual videos of them being used since the idea is for us to buy the stuff he reviews 🤷🏻♂️. I like the stuff he makes/builds. Just wish we could actually see the stuff in use
You go through more truck tents than I do sox.......LOL
I’m interested in tent rack setup that’s what I’m wanting to do also

Nice set up,how much

What was shipping time on that Tent.? Benehike won’t respond.
I'm awaiting a shipping time as well. I got a response at 1 week, but nothing since.
Benehike customer service is 1-10 stars horrible
@@CaptainNato I'm 4 weeks in now. They said it shipped, but I've gotten no tracking info or contact. Did you get your tent?
There are about 20 other manufacturers making this exact tent. Nothing about it is new or unique.

What happened to pitching a $50 two person ground tent from Wally World ??
Man those things are expensive, really nice, but expensive
I’m not fan of rooftop tents. Too much work and I have an English bulldog but these is tent I would consider.
Compared to what? A hotel?
Nice video but man, specs says 200+ lbs, that os not super lightweight at all. What's up with that?!
You don’t need one, you just buy a 4Runner 😂
I don't see 3 people really fitting in this.
Naturnest, Roofnest and this tent are all the same tent. From china, slightly modified, and rebranded.
Looks like just the right height to be bare bait
It’s just a copy of the ikamper
