I m really interested in buying it, but since I m based in Europe and every single video I watched show that such damage were made during the delivery US-US I m pretty worried about what could happen on a US-Europe delivery 😅😅
The only thing I worry with this tent is that plastic skylight. I have a feeling that’s a weak point after a few uses.. I wish they have a canvas cover going over that..
For the small scratches the tent had and the fact they sent it to me for the review, I didn’t bother reaching out for a replacement. But, I know a few people that have received a damaged tent from topoak due to shipping, and they received a replacement tent about a week later.
I’ve spent about three full weeks this year camping in the Stellar rooftop tent and the Galaxy 1.0 (which shares the same dimensions), and I’ve never felt like I was lacking space. At 6’2”, I can comfortably lay on my back with my feet straight if I position my pillow and head against the wedge at the back. I’ve also spent over a week in this tent with my 6’3” son and our yellow lab without any issues. He does sleep on his side, though-if he slept on his back, I’m sure his feet would touch.
@@destinationjourney_overland That's awesome! Adding this to my next list - I just ordered myself the Blaze O-R Garmin kit after watching one of your awesome videos, I'll have to take a breath before ordering the RTT next (lest I face the wife's wrath!). Thank you for your fantastic content (and rapid response!)
@@destinationjourney_overland Thinking about getting the Stellar, but concerned about space with my 6 foot husband and 50 pound english setter. Did you feel like you had enough space with your lab and son inside? It's hard to know when they are rated for 2 people if 2 people and a medium dog would fit :) Deciding if we should go with the Stellar or up the space to the Vision. Would love to hear your experience with 2 people and the dog inside!
My son and I camped together in that tent for over a week with our dog who is 60 pounds. This is a 2+ person tent. It says 2-3 but 2 people and a small kid or dog will be comfortable in it. My son is 6’ 3” and about 220 lbs. I’m 6’ 2” and 210 lbs. The one benefit that the vision would have over the stellar is you wouldn’t have to climb over each other in the middle of the night to get out for any reason. As your feet or head will be facing the door. But it is slightly taller when it’s closed and if you get the XL, it’s quite a bit heavier, both the stellar and vision are already a pretty heavy tent raising your center of gravity on your vehicle. Great for Overlanding and car camping, not so great if you’re driving on off camber trails. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. I’ve spent a lot of time inside the Top Oak galaxy and stellar rooftop tents.
Got mine installed today. Cant wait to use it.
Awesome!!!

They’re shipped from China to the US. I’m wondering if they have distribution in Europe versus having to ship it from the US.
Finally gotten to use the Stellar 2.0 a few weeks ago in the Alvord Desert. Awesome RTT and I loved it.
Good choice!

Not sure long term, but have been using the Galaxy 1.0 for a year and it’s holding up great. Thanks for the comment.
Awesome reviews mate, did you contact Topoak about the damage to the tent?

can any one tell , does this fits on subaru forester?? i like this one..
I don’t know enough about a Subaru forester to answer your question. This is not a small tent and weighs about 175lbs.
As someone who is also 6ft 2, how well do you fit in this RTT? Can you lay completely flat, or does your head/feet touch an end?

Can I grill a steak inside this tent?
As long as you open up the sunroof, I’ll let you grill a steak inside of it
