I buy regenerative ground beef with mixed in liver and heart (REP Provisions) when I have the extra cash and they have a sale as it is pricey. Normally due to cost, I buy 100% grass feed ground beef if it is at a decent price. When things are a bit tight, the regular ground beef will have to do. No matter what, it is better than processed foods or carb rich crap. Buy what you can afford.
Same. I looked into buying a 1/2 a cow. Regenerative beef it's $13 a pound versus $5.50 grain finished. It's hard to do the (most) right thing when grass finished Costco frozen burgers are $5 a pound. I know it's not as good as regenerative. I know my dollars to support a local farmer produce meat the right way is important, but Jeeze is it hard to pay more than double to do so.
You can get grass fed ground beef at target for around 6 to 7 bucks a pound
Exactly that man 👍🏻👍🏻

regenerative cows live such a beautiful life
I agree, but what he said about regenerative meat being carbon negative is not true, no science has shown this. The main issue with cows is not even carbon, it's methane. And grass doesn't sequester methane from the atmosphere because plants don't breath methane, they breathe carbon dioxide.
Also, he makes it seem as if eating meat is completely free of things that are bad for you. I realize there are anti-nutrients in plants, but it's not hard to find plants with low levels of things like oxalates, phytic acid, lectins, and cooking most of the time reduces or eliminates them.
He doesn't realize meats are full of heavy metals like lead, cadmium, mercury etc... just a few months of not eating meat, these heavy metals will reduce by a 1/3 or more according to studies. Even organic meat is even full of things like dioxin, pcb's which are linked to cancer. You can read this in the study below:
"Consumption of organic meat does not diminish the carcinovenic potiental associated with the intake of persistent organic pollutant (POP)."
Not to mention these "anti-nutrients" have shown to have anti-cancer effects, unlike POP's.
"Phytic acid suppresses inflammation moderators in colorectal cancer cells."
"Several lectins have been found to possess anticancer properties in vitro, in vivo, and in human case studies; they are used as therapeutic agents, preferentially binding to cancer cell membranes or their receptors, causing cytotoxicity, apoptosis, and inhibition of tumor growth."
He tries to spin it like everything in organic meat is good for you, because you are avoiding anti-nutrients. Even the blood in meat (heme iron) has been associated with increased risk of cardiovascular disease, cancer, and diabetes. Even meta-analysis has shown that milk consumption is associated with an increased risk of cancer. Milk in vitro actually promote the grow of cancer cells, studies have shown there, where as almond milk suppresses it. Scientists think it's all the estrogen and igf-1 hormones in milk that does this.
I'm not vegan, nor am I against the consumption of animal protein, but to make it seem like because there aren't anti-nutrients in meat that it's all good, is false.
@@adim00lah I agree, he definitely overstates the negatives of plant defense chemicals and doesn't mention the potential bad effects of excess animal foods. Everything in balance is key.

I didn’t know that about regenerative raised beef! I’ve only seen it at Sprouts near me. Many grocery stores that sell 100% grass-fed beef don’t have regenerative. Time for an upgrade!
Thanks, Paul, for all your work you’ve put into health.
When I went to Sprouts in the past, I used to buy them out of the regenerative beef because I wanted them to see that people WANT this stuff. Now they carry more of it than they used to so I don't do that anymore. Great stuff!
🫡 Appreciate your efforts. I think I saw it at my Sprouts one time and since then, I haven’t been able to catch it again.

Man this was a really well done video, one of the best you’ve done imo. Everyone needs to hear this message and you presented it in a very personable, accessible way. I’ve been following your work going on 8 years now and I am so happy to see your success. To be honest, at first I wasn’t sure about the beef sticks. I thought, really, another packaged “health food”? You’ve taught me to think ancestral, and I find myself feeling skeptical these days of anything that isn’t whole food, but I think these are different. Pemmican was a staple survival food for indigenous people of North America. I love the idea of such a clean, well sourced beef stick with organs included. Your passion for this product has put my skepticism at ease. Keep up the hard work doc 🤙
Sprouts Farmers Market finally has pasture raised chicken! Sure it’s not organic, but pasture raised trumps that. I get my pork from Primal Pastures, since they have the best of the best, and I only get 100% grass-fed/finished beef.
I have been on carnivore for one month. Thank you for telling me about the differences in the way meat is raised. I will try and go forward to 100% grass fed meats. I also subscribed to your channel.😊

Thank you Dr. Paul! I didn't even know that regenerative meat is being sold in any stores. I will look for it at the Sprouts here to see if they have it. Dude has to taught me so much! Cheers to you Paul!
This last year has been really rough on me and my family. The cost of grass-fed meat has gone up so much that my wife and I argued several times over whether we should sell our house and move somewhere cheaper just to be able to feed our kids high-quality food. My wife had to start working again just so we wouldn’t have to move or buy low-quality food, but that has also put a strain on the time we spend together and the time we get to spend helping out our kids.
I appreciate you and your channel though Paul. You always know where the best deals are at and how to buy healthy foods on a budget. Thanks again Paul!
We can’t afford regenerative meat. I stay home and homeschool our kids and I’m still breastfeeding our baby. So I just buy bulk grain finished 80/20 ground beef, and I buy regenerative beef when it’s on sale at sprouts. To me, just cutting out all the garbage seed oil, sugar and processed foods and replacing it with beef, eggs and butter and fruit puts our family’s health well beyond 95% of most Americans.
Do you live in a big city? If so, moving wouldn't be a bad idea, not only because of the food, but all the benefits that come with getting away from the city culture. Also the food would be so much cheaper lol. I can get grass fed and raw dairy for the same price and sometimes cheaper than in stores.
@@Poofgone1WHERE do you live??? We moved to the suburbs of Florida (from New York) and the food is basically the same price here. Raw milk is $17/gallon now!!! (Edit: I didn’t drink raw milk in NY, but it’s actually very cheap since you have access to upstate NY and Pennsylvania farms). Buying a quarter cow comes out to $12/pound which is not cheap or affordable.
@@estherruth4692 Wow! That's pretty crazy. I'm in Texas. I can get grass fed/finished down the road for about $5-$8 a pound. Gallon of raw milk for about $8-$9. Pasture eggs roughly $3-$5 dozen I haven't really looked too much into buying half a cow recently only because of the prices I can get around me.
@@Poofgone1 Should have known lol. My sister lives in Texas and when my mom visited she said the meat is absolutely delicious and cheap. I don’t think they were buying grass fed though.
Excellent thanks for sharing
The plant based meat sign says Buy one get one free. Nobody wants it, so they have to give it away.
I love how he brings up how grass fed beef is carbon negative, the 3 main carbon sinks are the ocean, then it’s soils and the forests.
Grass fed isn't necessarily carbon negative, regenerative is.
@@georgelux126 yes but most people don’t just feed their cows grass, grass fed cows are 99% roaming from field to field when the time comes and free roaming. It kinda goes hand in hand. It’s very hard to just find a large amount of grass to feed your cows unless their actually roaming and eating grass fields
@@georgelux126 What he said about them being carbon negative is not true, no science has shown this. The main issue with cows is not even carbon, it's methane. And grass doesn't sequester methane from the atmosphere because plants don't breath methane, they breathe carbon dioxide.
If I'm wrong, please cite a study showing regenerative meat is carbon negative please. There is a lot of misinformation in his videos. While plants do contain anti-nutrients, they have proven to be medicinal, so it's not all bad.
The only one I would avoid are oxalates, and lots of veggies are low oxalate like cabbage, bok choi, collard greens, most types of lettuce, watercress etc....
Meat contains all sorts of things that promote cancer like neu5gc, igf-1, hca's, heme iron, and even lots of toxic metals like mercury, cadmium, and lead which bio-accumulate in the meat. Even if it's organic it doesn't reduce the presence of these persistent organic pollutants. Studies have shown, even a few months of avoiding animal proteins, these toxic metals and POP's reduce in your blood by 30% or more.
Your gut microbiome can adjust to anti-nutrients studies have shown this, not so much with heavy metals and persistent organic pollutants which are far higher in meat than in any plants due to bioaccumulation.
I'm not vegan, and I'm not against eating meat, but just because meat doesn't contain anti-nutrients doesn't mean everything in meat is healthy and doesn't promote disease.
It is a privilege to benefit from your growth and knowledge, THANKYOU 🦋👣
As important as meat is, it's important to maintain a healthy diet. Vegetables and carbohydrates are still very important as well to maintain a good level of health. Unless you have some serious underlying health issues, such as severe auto immune disorders, any types of restrictive diet, vegan or carnivore is not going to be healthy long term
I thought this was going to be a silly boring video, but you packed a lot of good info for the normies into this, good video!

Just started drinking Raw Milk bruh and my stomach has never felt better! Going to get the creamer next for my cold brews this summer!
Ordered mine! Waiting on my lineage delivery! 💪🏻
I received my order! They are good 😋. The serving size on the package is misprinted though. Website says 2-3 sticks is a serving size with 4 servings per container, the actual package states 1 stick per serving and 4 servings per container. From the few packets I opened to check, it appears 12 sticks per bag which would equate to 3 sticks per serving. Cuts are different lengths. Good product, recommended for a healthy and convenient snack!
Over $14 per ounce
I can't afford to live like that. It would be nice but ain't happening.
Also, if anyone can find a trusted local butcher that partners with local farmers that is the absolute best. There are so many hidden issues in store bought meat included the fact that it may have been frozen and thawed multiple times by the time it gets to you. Grassfed beef at stores can also be beef thats fed byproducts from beer distilleries and still qualify. So much that isnt shared with the public.
My mum mostly buys meat from our local Butcher, but when it comes to meat fillings for sandwiches this will definitely be useful.
One of my favorite things when im in my village in Greece is all the unbelievable high quality meats. Goat, sheep, mutton, etc all living on the mountain for months on end
Thank you!

Hey Paul! What kind of vinegar do you use for the lineage sticks?

We have Scotch Beef in Scotland, which is pretty high quality since it's regulated. It's not that expensive since Scotland is mostly pasture land so pasture raised is more common than battery farms. This is all great stuff but where do you find regenerative grass fed ground beef? No where to be found in local grocery stores in my Florida hometown.
Since I’ve gone carnivore I feel absolutely amazing 🤩 mostly I go with the plant based meat extract! Thanks for all your suggestions
Good information 👍
In the UK pretty much all beef is regeneratively farmed, 100% grass-fed, because that's just how cows are raised. It's not marketed that way because they never did the whole corn-fed thing. I remember learning about crop-rotation, when I was about 9. That was over 40 years ago. Industrial farming is mental!
Paul, thank you for your good advice. However, I would love to have a middle way alternative to eat, some people work for 15 dollars per hours or even less, so, please show us some alternatives that will not kill us in a couple of months, but that is possible to keep that longer.
Good video Paul. Could you do a video on lab-grown or cell-cultured meat? Could you talk about things like how prevalent it will become in the country, will we be able to distinguish it from real meat at the grocery stores, how can we fight back against this and make it illegal to produce and sell, etc. etc. Thank you.
I've never seen that regenerative label in stores here in Idaho 😊
thanks!
♥️♥️♥️ this!!!
When I go to the grocery store (HEB), what most people are substituting the cost of buying organic or grass fed with are processed carbs and sugars like churro flavored chips, candy and all type's of snack foods. Skipping the soda isle would compensate for buying grass fed beef. So many boxed foods need some type of crazy flavoring that is usually in an MSG form or maltodextrin. They end up spending more money, have more cravings and end up eating more as a result. Grocery stores have specials and coupons so consumers pay more attention to snack foods than they do on getting nutrition. Cost should not be an issue but it is a shame that it is that way for most consumers. So good to have alternatives and mindful companies that educate those of us that need to be thrifty with our grocery bill.
You go dude 🤛🏼
Thanks for the truth, Paul
Excellent
Thank you for this content. Just curious. Why isn’t the regenerative ground beef organic? Does regenerative beef have higher standards compared to the organic label?
It's technically beyond organic.
I’m currently on a vegan diet to see what the impact will be on my body and so far I’m seeing fantastic results. I don’t eat processed vegan meat because it’s like what’s the point. If you choose to go on a vegan diet you should just eat natural foods. Also everyone’s body chemistry is different so there’s no use in making generalized statements like consuming meat is the best for you because for some people that’s not the case at all. Not everyone craves meat. I’m doing great without it 👍🏽

I've been trying to find what the best/cheapest way to buy or order beef in bulk is. Here in southern California, if that matters. Anywhere from 50-200 lbs of grass-fed steaks and ground beef, I want to fill up one deep freezer (7 cubic ft?) and maybe get a second freezer later on. I've looked at prices on 1/8 and 1/4 cows from a local pasture that I would order online and wait 6-8 weeks for it to arrive. But with Butcherbox I can apparently get more beef for less money, and not have to wait 6-8 weeks? That's if I order 2-3 of their big boxes, on a monthly subscription. But I saw some reviews on them showing that not all of their beef is grass-fed.
And is it properly frozen when it arrives? Can beef last over a year in a freezer?
Is my best bet using one of these monthly subscription box companies? If so, which one?
Or should I go to a butcher shop and see if I can get a deal on bulk beef? I also checked out what I can get from Whole Foods on amazon prime and it's more expensive.
Commenting for the answer
Its weird I just saw a video from a farmer talking about how regenerative grazing has saved him so much money in feeding his cattle.

I buy grass-fed beef but I am not sure if I should be getting the 85/15 or 93/7. For some reason I just like the taste of leaner beef more, but I am trying to bulk up and gain muscle so technically the fattier beef should be better? Or if I get the leaner beef and add my own fats to it in the forms of cheese and butter would that work too? Please help I've been going back and forth trying to figure it out for a few weeks now. And when I did use the fattier beef it did not help me gain weight. It just kept me full for hours and I struggled to eat.
