The new trail ruins look like SMP player builds that have been abandoned and griefed over time. So I think that’s actually quite fitting for some buried ruins.
It looks phallic though.

I like this. It reminds me of No Man's Sky. In that game, you can mine out terrain and you can find ancient, buried structures and you can mine it out entirely just like in Minecraft and you can find some really valuable orbs. But if you take them, the sentries will come after you

Actually Phoenix, if you replace the suspicious sand and suspicious gravel on those new structures with air, you can see that they're proper buildings! There's one with a smithing room with a bunch of functional blocks like a stone cutter and stuff, the tower has proper stairs, it's almost like an ancient village that got destroyed and buried under the ground, it's super cool.
You're probably right - decay isn't always elegant.

I thought it looks like a desert village because of the tower structure. Does this mean desert villages are the Minecraft equivalent of Mesopotamia?

If you dig out the sand and gravel the ruins reveal furniture and other room like structures that are kinda just colorful vanilla villages.
Colorful blocks are good. Reminds me of Minoan ruins irl. Also makes it easier for players to rebuild them to what they might have looked like when they were inhabited. What I don’t like are the random ones by themselves

The skulk sensor change is great because it keeps people from being able to bypass traps that use sensors with the old filter mechanism. Before you just had to make a sound that wouldn't go through the filter and then you have a second to make whatever sound you want while the sensor is on cooldown.

Mojang should make it possible to put any item in the middle of the crafting table while making a decorated pot so that the pot holds it inside.
You can't tell whether anything is inside the pot.
You can get the item back if you shatter the pot.
Imagine destroying those pots like in an old video game, and an enchanted swords falls out.

Okay the skulk sensor is revolutionary. Chests can be trapped without them being an actual trapped chest along with so many other traps.
I hope we can finally get giants as a boss in the game. We had them for quiet some time and I'm pretty sure the fossils we find in the nether and in the overworld are refrencing them. I always imagined a desert looking area and several artifacts resulting with a boss fight with giants, but reskinned to whatever repurpose they serve.
you can also use honeycomb on signs to prevent them from being edited and allow commands to be executed by right clicking them

NEW BOSS: A new villager type that has amazing trades but is 100 times more annoying to trade with
It's extremely rare, walks away from you, changes what it wants for a trade every 10 seconds, and can straight up fly away if you don't trade within 30 seconds. It has a low spawn rate and can only spawn every 10th new moon if the day is sunday irl and the ender dragon has NOT been defeated. It dies in one hit and everything is hostile towards it. it will always spawn 500 chunks away from you and instantly dies during the daytime. and it has a 25% chance to give you dirt instead of what you traded for.

For the sculk calibrator use a lecturn, book and quilt, and a redstone comparator to make it work without the redstone
There is so much to learn for redstone. But I am definitely here for wireless doors

Well, it's official, the update with the name of "random things" introduced the new structure of "random blocks".
in this video the structures are still obfuscated by a bunch of different debris blocks so keep that in mind :)
fully uncovered its alot more intelligable. its a ruins so its still a bit destroyed/deconstructed too obv (which encourages players to 'restore' it and make creative decisions about what they think it wouldve looked like in its heyday) c: I think they're really neat and not as random as you think!

The cracked property on decorated pots is unused, except it is set to true immediately before being broken by a tool. It does this so that it can change the sound to the shatter sound.

Sniffers breed and the mother pulls the egg out of nowhere (well somewhere but my lawyer said me to not mention it) and then sits on it.
The new sculk is revolutionaru because it doesn't emmit particles when it hears something, so the thing is you could always make a sculk only listen to walking but it would emmit particles even when you for example threw a snowball. But thisone only does the particles for a certain sound which makes it undetectable.
I think the pitcher plant is the perfect way of allowing players to acidify certain items like tuff and calcite
It's much nicer to finally have another source for candles other than resident sleeper bees
I hope they hype it up well and that some of the features we have gotten thus far are somehow implemented to fight the boss

@@enderkatze6129 To be fair they DID update the caves after years of asking, and we DO now have boats with chest, so hopefully a boss isn't TOO far out there.
When you digging out all the structure, remove all the dirt, sand and gravel, you will notice is some kind of structure, and in the first moment looks chaotic, but remember this is simulations of some structure destroyed by the time, In the base of the different areas you have bricks, the “street” is made with cobblestone, and the ceiling is made with terracota and some details in another’s materials.
