Pots should have a very limited storage capacity, like 3 slots, so you can smash them open and get items like in zelda for map makers, and if you pick up the pot itself instead of breaking it you can use it like an early game shulker box.
Yeah, the problem with giving the player any "early game ____" is it just turns into a quick, easy way for the player to avoid the lategame version unless the lategame one is leagues better/has more functionality
@@itsumikoroko it has 3 slots, no end game players are gonna lug around an inventory full of pots instead of getting like 2 shulkers
... even then, you're effectively giving players (roughly [i think]) 2× the storage, unless you can't put pots in shulker boxes.
@@itsumikoroko id imagine if they added my suggestion you'd probably want to stop them from being put in shulkers, yeah. Still even then, the inconvenience of having an inventory full of shulkers full of more blocks that store 3 things would probably put most people off from spamming them late game.
Torchflower would be interesting if it can give off lights for other plants at night and maybe make them grow faster
It'd be great, I agree. Why didn't MOJANG come up with that?..
Making other plant grow faster with bio luminescence wouldn’t work, if it just glows that would be fine.
Just add more light sources
@@kcoolthegamer or maybe the light can make a certain mob afraid? Like how piglin is scared of soul fire
@@fudan1 I just don’t see a mod scared of the torch flower, except maybe snow golems because it looks like fire.
A piece of functionality I'd love for the torchflower is it not emitting light, but act as spawn blocker. Put these underneath your floor, and keep a build dark but without the issue of mobs spawning.

I think slicedlime was talking about the torchflower when he said it was not renewable. The pink foliage can be bonemealed to duplicate it like 2 tall flowers.
Torchflower is also renewable, sniffers produce them forever
@@HappyGingerWolf but you can't grow more seeds by yourself, so that's what he probably meant
@@HappyGingerWolf Well, it's not fully renewable because sniffers will only produce a seed from a block once. So if you have an enclosed pen, eventually they'll stop producing seeds. The only way to get more (besides expanding the pen) is then breeding sniffers using the seeds. So while it is renewable, it isn't the most renewable thing in the world.
@@nyahnyahson523 You can put the pen on top of a very slow moving rooted dirt farm. Generate cobble -> convert to moss -> grow azela to convert to rooted dirt. This can be entirely automated and the rooted dirt can be slowly shifted into the pen at a rate that allows the sniffers to dig it up.
@@nyahnyahson523 iirc sniffers will only remember the last 20 areas they digged up, so if you have a big enough pen they will keep digging forever.
So keeping in mind this is still a snapshot, Archaeology looks great, but the pottery shards leave a bit to be desired in terms of how many there are, dying them to add color would be an amazing addition, Torchflowers should provide light, and the cherry petals should have SOME way of farming them. Maybe it's like lava where you have to wait for the dripstone to drip enough into a cauldron or how copper oxidizes, maybe if you wait for long enough under the right conditions, petals will eventually fall onto the block beneath some cherry blossoms (leaves?). That way, people with older worlds who update and presumably get the saplings from the Wandering Trader have a way to acquire petals. Maybe they could also make it so they have a chance to drop like apples with oak leaves? Who knows, but I'm looking forward to the next snapshot.
Yeah im gonna be honest, even though the early concept art for the pottery shards was a lot less neat, I think I liked them better as they were more colorful and allowed for more creative expression. The whole idea of telling your own stories with the pottery shards is a lot harder when it’s simply just a diamond icon or a skeleton skull. Idk

While I love that desert wells finally have a use, I feel that there is a very missed opportunity for jungle temples to have archeology spots as well. They have remained virtually unchanged since their addition. Maybe give them their own unique pot shards as well, to give an incentive to find one.
A pot shard of an ocelot head or redstone dust, as jungle temples were the first structure to feature redstone.
Remember that they've been confirmed as one of the structures you'll need to visit to get an armor trim template
@@GSBarlev They have?
I guess I missed that part. Another use for an almost forgotten structure is always welcome though.
....Still better to decorate these temples with unique variants of breakable pots and the shards being optional.
Your idea might just come into fruition, as more digsite spots are yet to be revealed, and deserts cannot surely be the only biome where ancient artefacts lie.
@@rudrodeepchatterjee I'm expecting mojang to waste the potential and just make archeology revolves around ikea pots.

As a mod user, I love it.
Bro they added like 4 blocks and like 4 items and one mob that makes useless flowers. Idk what mods you are playing cause they must add 0 content bro even ore spawn from 1.7.10 adds more content the 99% of minecraft updates. Even mrcrayfishes mods do. This feels like a mod that is made by someone who is new to modding and good at modeling. Like fr this is the type of mod where you would find in 1.8 on planet minecraft. Made by someone new to coding
@@Bubbagaming90000 🤓
@@Bubbagaming90000 Why feel the need to say that? The amount of the content doesn't have anything to do with whether it feels modded or not. Your words are completely irrelevant.
@@Bubbagaming90000 why does more = better?
This is really just your opinion. I personally don't think that more items means more fun. Try not to push your opinion on others. From what I can see you just don't realise that
There is also a lot of issues with what you said. A new modder won't be able to add more content? From what I can see, there are entities, items, new mechanics, etc. I'm pretty sure that it depends on the modders goals and not their skill.
Now obviously I'm not saying that a new modder will 100% be able to add whatever their heart desires instantly at the start but also comparing the amount of blocks/items added in a mod with someone's skill is incredibly stupid
@@slicepie410 bro they added like a new oak re texture a biome without any new grass and a leave retexture and a sniffer who makes useless items. Where is the new boss? We haven't had a boss in like 7 years. Why can a mod from 8 years ago add more content then the base game 8 years later? Yeah sure I could spend 500 hours building the best house but when I finish there's nothing else to do

1:22 "they aren't renewable"
if you watch ilmango's video, they actually are in similar vein to double tall flowers in that you bonemeal them to get more
I think I figured out what makes old Minecraft animations distinct and the new ones feel modded:
Minimum required movement:
Imagine how the sniffer would look if its hooves just rotated back and forward like a horse rather than bouncing with each step 2:04 . Or imagine the warden swaying from side to side as it moves, taking (from an animating perspective) an unnecessary amount of movement.
Personally I think the extra movement gives extra character to those mobs even if it is unnecessary in the case of sniffer (the sniffing, laying down, and digging is enough for me). For the warden the shuffling is effective as it makes the warden seem more unnatural (compared to other things in Minecraft), cranky, and dangerous.
when it comes to the alley it's animation looks minecrafty as the vex or baby zombie.
P.s. I'm aware I'm commenting a paragraph on Minecraft animation on a Phoenix SC video but I already typed it.
interactions will be game changing for just about any server, as well as people that write datapacks
It complements extremely well with the display entities from previous snapshots. You can make blocks that move when you right click them, or a pile of paper that you have to uncover by punching them, hell you can even make a hitbox for a fully custom mob.
0:52 why did you typed this instead of /data get entity @e[type=interaction]?
Because /data can only target one entity at a time.
You could do /data get @e[type=minecraft:interaction, limit=1]
But the way Phoenix did it is better, because it accounts for all of them.
