    Thanks for the video. I got snagged on a stradic like this mounted on a Loomis rod a couple weeks ago. It's full of muck but I just received some bearings for it. I think with your help I'm going to be able to salvage.

    • @TSGReelService
      @TSGReelService  2 роки тому

      Thanks for checking out the video! Nice find.... if you can salvage it. The a/r and line roller would be a concern for me also.

      @@TSGReelService the a/r seems good which is nice because I wasn't able to get a new one. I didn't have high expectations and was not very organized disassembling and can't figure out how the bail goes back together. It is a smaller model than yours, but I'll get there. It is in his working condition otherwise at this point. The Loomis needs a new handle which looks like quite the chore.

    • @TSGReelService
      @TSGReelService  2 роки тому

      Good to hear about the a/r..... they're obsolete. The line roller on yours should be very similar to this reel. You'll get there. I don't much about rods, so good luck with that. 🙂

    Great video. I just followed your video with the Schematic for the 4000F. Shimano really left its customers out to dry on parts. Any assist on finding a new clutch or bearings (that aren't $75 for a kit like boca ceramic kit) would be sweet! Cheers

      Happy to hear it helped, brother! Those parts may be OOP, but let me know the part numbers and I can let you know for sure.

    excellent video! I have Stradic Fl 4000 xg. I can see on my reel some spool play up and down when drag is tightened. Maybe 1-2 mm. As i understand it has with worm gear to do. Right? Is it normal?

    • @TSGReelService
      @TSGReelService  4 місяці тому +1

      Thanks for checking out the video. It's normal. You can shim beneath the lower worm bushing if you want, but it's not necessary regarding the performance. Hit the thumbs up and spread the word about the channel.

    Where can I get the washer you describe at 26:12. I have the play you're talking about

    • @TSGReelService
      @TSGReelService  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for watching! The part number for this reel is rd2409, but a later version of this should be rd18199, which is a spring loaded type washer (probably to help address the issue mentioned in the video), and that should work also. Try eBay or ereplacementparts. You can also use the Daiwa 373-1302 washer.
