Really good stuff. Some ppl actually enjoy math and graphs. Maybe put it in another more detailed Video? Are there preferences between Evasion and Endurance in PvE? Does Endurnace affect the players hp, like in other mmos?
Yes, that is true. Maybe I will do that in the future. For PVE, you usually don't need anything, but if you were going to do something, you would always use Magic Evasion to dodge skill attacks from the boss. No. Endurance just lowers your enemies Crit chance on you, as explained in the video. There is no additional effect.
@@feight_28 only if you have more endurance then the enemy crit... that works only against tanks because otherwise people will always have more crit then you endurance ^^ but I explained that in the video
Here is my question though, does evade work for skills or only for regular attacks? I know endurance works for both but ive tested the hit chance against the evasion and it seems like skills hit alot more than regular attacks with the evade hit situation
I think the choice depends on if your trying to do Large Scale or Small Scale PvP. For Large Scale I believe Evasion is just better, Endurance is never going to save you from getting targeted by 20+ players all at once but Evasion just might. Its also common in Large Scale for Sleep Bombers to jump into your group, and Endurance isn't going to do anything to stop that ever. For Small Scale I think Endurance has its place. There aren't enough players to chew through your defenses fast enough to be a big threat and the CC doesn't matter as much as a result. In either case you need to build enough HP to support your Endurance. Obviously HP is valuable on Evasion builds as well, however if you only have 10K HP your probably better off sticking with Evasion , but if you have 15K - 20K HP Endurance becomes a whole lot more enticing due to how damage reduction scales with HP. This is true of any game with a damage reduction stat.

In dungeons i would go for endurence because the bosses stun mechanics are countert only through movement or Q-block. That said i would take Endurence as it gives me flat damage reduction.
So basically if I’m Xbow dagger I’m supposed to take Range evasion + Magic Evasion? Not Endurance because it only nullifies critical chance. Thank you. And if so which to prioritize or should it be only one.
Very cool video. I just looked at the guide and it seems that having two evasions with any usefulness, (i.e. at least 400+ more than minimum evasion or in other words at least 30% chance to evade), is quite unrealistic with only blue gear. Not sure if I should focus on full 3x3 blue first and then partially replace with purple, or just go straight purple and very very slowly trait my gear and have essentially 0 evasion.
that totally depends on your class. but also with blue gear you can have 2000 melee evasion... you just have to pick the right items (also some greens)... I cant give you here a simple answer sorry
Personally I love formulas but understand the trade-off :) do you have any good data on how drops work that would be a appreciated video! Ie how does first hit impact mob vs boss/miniboss, how is dmg vs rng a factor, and how do party drops work? Seems like I can get loot without hitting a mob so is it rng in party and more ppl in party is better rather than opposite as it is in many games?
HELP! i play bow/xbow (i love it) and i need compensate for the lack of evasion of the class. I currently run about 1000 magic evasion and its still not close to enough. Due to not having daggers to get up to 1700/1900 evasion i get hit all the time, especially from mages. Should i pay the price and switch to endurance? i could get about 800 ranged/magic endurance. Would that be a viable option before t2? i really dont want to switch to daggers and other than that my build is strong.
not an expert on that class sorry. but arent you getting evasion from your xbow? some passive? if you cant trigger that constantly you just go endurance. because 1000 evasion is not enough
Could you do a video with which weapon combos should build either evasion or endurance please, like for instance as a bow/staff I would build evasion right?
bow/staff you go for endurance :) you have already the passive which gives you additional endurance. So you can get here really high endurance values :)
Can u tell me which one is better for me im playing bow/staff and i play large scale pvp yeah im dps but i need hybrid build half dps half tanky so which one is better for flash tornado combo i play little bit front
I'm doubting the explanation in this video. The in game tooltip states for Endurance, that when higher than Crit chance it will increase the chance of receiving a Min Hit by 1% for each 10 points. Taking that logic, saying having more Endurance then Crit chance will make it so the enemy can't crit, would be false? Or am I missing something?
its 100% correct :S dont go after the logic of the tooltip... its completely misleading. The explanation in this video is correct. there are a lot of other sources out there confirming that :)
I thought the purpose is the difference between the two then the calculation. IE if I have 700 evasion, but my opponent has 800 hit. Then the difference is used in favor of my opponent (100/(100*chance multiplier))*100 then gives their attack chance. In this case it isn’t far from 10% vs over 50 percent if I had no evasion.
as mentioned in the video. if your evasion is below enemy hit it is like you having no evasion. if you evasion is higher then the enemy hit then you use this formula: Evasion Chance = (Your Evasion - Enemy Hit)/(Your Evasion - Enemy Hit + 1000)
as mentioned in the video... most weapon combos have something around 850 hit. but then those weapon combos also often have conditional effects on how they get extra hit. thats why i mentioned anything below 1000 evasion is like you have 0 evasion... there is a softcap but that really doesnt matter because enemies will also always go more hit. If you stack it... stack it as much as you can... you almost cannot overstack it in the early game.
thought of endurance when stacked with damage reduction? could it start being more impactful? since endurance reduces the damage and then dr reduces it further.
I probably wont play healing on release. So lets see how I can manage that. It just make sense to do that on actual fights and we need to see what the meta will be... lets see. But I like the idea :S
Great video! Funny tho, i'm looking for complex math haha! I main Bow/staff on T1 global and looking for my pvp build. I might switch Bow/dagger for pvp. I was looking for max hit vs max evasion to see if it's worth it. Bow/dagger with dagger passive, it seams evasion is the right choice since it will have a good difference between max hit and max evasion. Bow/staff tho i feel with high focus that gives endurance will be a better fit to go endurance. Not sure about T2 what will change too. Any though on that?
I went the evasion route on staff/bow and it feels kinda useless. You're so squishy tanks in blue GS will burst you. I'm just no sure how much evasion we can stack in T1, if it's worth it....
If your enemy is doing a melee heavy hit then you can also just simply evade the attack with melee evasion. There is also Heavy attack Evasion... but this you cant really build. you only get it through some food and some other effects but you cant really build it. But this would then come on top :)
EDIT: So the chance in the tooltip ingame is basically a chance for "Glancing Hit" -> forcing it to deal Min damage. The tooltip is quite confusing. So basically endurance = lowering attackers Crit chance (even if it is lower than their crit). If higher than crit, attacker does not crit and every point above crit is increasing chance to receive only MIN damage from the attack. Do I understand it correctly? :D - So - is this actually right about endurance and the tooltip ingame is wrong? Because the tooltip for endurance which is in game suggest that it works exactly same as evasion. "If your stat is higher thatn the target's X Critical Hit Chance, for every 10 points of difference, chance increases by about 1%." -> meaning it does nothing if you stat is lower than target's Crit -> Meaning it is the same as evasion - according to the tooltip ingame.
Depends. Early game everyone’s hit chance is low. Building evasion can negate most attacks. Late game everyone has built up their hit chance. Thus building endurancecf to avoid crits.
I got a lot of magic endurance and it seems that wipe attacks of big monsters and bosses are actually magic crit hits. Sometimes these wipe attacks just dont wipe me :)) can anyone confirm this?
so im going greatsword dagger build and every build says to go evasion, but im not seeing how i can get my magic/range evasion but at all to be enough to even matter.... i need help =[ is melee evasion the only one that actually makes sense to run ?
I would skip it for now complelty... for T1 dungeons not needed but if you want to have something then go for evasion... especially magic evasion because you can also evade some boss mechanics ;)
@@grobs4678 ok, than i would like to prefer evasion, i play this game very casual and pvp content is too much laggy for me, so i would only in the end doing dungeon and peace mode content
As bow/dagg when I go up against a healer with maxxed out ranged endurance, I find it super annoying. I cannot nuke them down like im used to and immeditaely just have to attack the other dps and hope he cant outheal my heavy attacks on the dps.
No, make it complex if you want to, because that information is missing. Everyone else does videos based on what they feel like is worth doing. Important is also what percentage of the Players play what type, so Melee, Ranged, Magic to make a decision what you want to build for, also if you want to play in a way that you avoid as many of a certain class as you can. For example in pvp there whill be alot of Melee damage because dagger is used alot and gs also sns, as a sns/gs you will take alot of magic and ranged aoe damage in zergs. So my opinion is we need at least 2 sets for pvp and 1 for pve. Large and small scale pvp, because in a zerg as a SnS/GS you take alot of aoe damage from magic and ranged, in small scale you fight against another sns/gs or an gs/dagger and a bow/dagger alot of times, so more melee damage. I dont like it but Meta plays a role in this, but for the most part i think in Arena and small scale pvp it will stay kinda the same because of the forced roles.
Yes, you are absolutely right, it is a lot about the meta. And I will do that kind of video in the next few weeks. But right now we dont know what the meta will be on the release. So many changes happening right now. So lets wait what the meta will be for large and small scale PVP and then we make an analysis on that. but you are completely right :)

finally someone that does it the simple way , this is what youtube needs for TL simplify things expain it so even a baboon will understand. even if i know this things its so nice to see it in such a simplifying way. just i wish u added for new players to understand that yes while evasion seems broken its harder to get up there and u give up on many others stats dmg wise so choose wisely :D plus that we have 3 kind of armors in this game heavy light and rope as any mmo and each armor has only 2 kind of evasions not all 3
yeah true could have expanded it a little ^^ would have been a nice intro to that... but maybe that would have been also too boring ^^ always hard to tell
@@grobs4678 mm i feel for new people that never played TL this kind of small things that might seems boring for us is great knowledge and little informations that would be very interesting , never theless dont take this as judgmental but as constructive feedback
@@ecosti thanks mate! actually always looking for that :)
@@grobs4678 False. Endurance also forces Minimum damage on Character.
@@feight_28 only if you have more endurance then the enemy crit... that works only against tanks because otherwise people will always have more crit then you endurance ^^ but I explained that in the video
Great video, Great info, Thanks for sharing :)
thanks for watching :)
Very nice explantion bro
thanks :)
Here is my question though, does evade work for skills or only for regular attacks? I know endurance works for both but ive tested the hit chance against the evasion and it seems like skills hit alot more than regular attacks with the evade hit situation
yes it works also for skills
Good idea on simplifying and putting the more complex numbers in description.
yeah maybe I could have added some more details in the description
Hi, is it make sence to build evaion for sns\dagger?) Because of a lot of passives?
Yes it makes a lot of sense :)

Is Evasion or Endurance relevant in PVE?
There is no pve, only loot bag u can kill with any trash optimisation
@@nyr3485Not true at all in t2. Gear matters, but in global, it doesn’t matter right now
In dungeons i would go for endurence because the bosses stun mechanics are countert only through movement or Q-block. That said i would take Endurence as it gives me flat damage reduction.
Evasion saved me a couple of times from the spider boss wipe late at night 😂
What pve?
Crossbow/longbow is better evasion or endurance?
what are the chances to evade attacks if the difference is let's say 200 evasion between you & the enemy hit?
So basically if I’m Xbow dagger I’m supposed to take Range evasion + Magic Evasion? Not Endurance because it only nullifies critical chance. Thank you. And if so which to prioritize or should it be only one.
I am not an expert on the class but I think you go range/magic evasion yes :)
Would that be a viable option before t2? i
really dont want to switch to daggers and other than that my build is strong.
not an expert on that class sorry. but arent you getting evasion from your xbow? some passive? if you cant trigger that constantly you just go endurance. because 1000 evasion is not enough
Are evasion and endurance only for PvP? Or is good for over too? Because I don't do PvP. I wonder if I need it as pve player
evasion is working also for PVE but for sure not needed
Question now, does my crit damage overrun 1500 evasion or it can miss?
I plan to play as a tank and have not yet decided whether to go evasion or endurance. What would you do in my case?
PVE you ignore both. PVP you usually go for endurance (thats atleast meta^^ Im still not 100% sure)
@@grobs4678 i talking about pvp. thanks!
Great video my man I love it thank so much and I am looking for more content similar to this when t2 drops or in general 😂
Thanks a lot for this amazing video, one question though, does these stats do anything in PVE?
GT video! does it make more sense build evasion or endurance for dagger/longbow? pvp focus
evasion
@@grobs4678 same for Staff/Dagger PvP?
@@letrasdobles3164 yes
Do you know how much hit most melee and caster have at endgame? Is there a soft cap we should shoot for with evasion?
as mentioned in the video... most weapon combos have something around 850 hit. but then those weapon combos also often have conditional effects on how they get extra hit. thats why i mentioned anything below 1000 evasion is like you have 0 evasion... there is a softcap but that really doesnt matter because enemies will also always go more hit. If you stack it... stack it as much as you can... you almost cannot overstack it in the early game.
@@grobs4678 I'll have to watch again, thank you for the clarification.
@@mattwill879 if still are questions then... feel free to ask again
thought of endurance when stacked with damage reduction? could it start being more impactful? since endurance reduces the damage and then dr reduces it further.
thats what all tanks do in the lategame
I dodge all of my friend's basic attacks, but almost all of his skills hit me. Do you know why?
basic attacks and skills seem to work differently ^^ so doing testing with basic attacks is not valid...
Do you have or can you make a healing rotation guide for PvP/PvE as well as tactics, positioning, priorities, everything lol
I probably wont play healing on release. So lets see how I can manage that. It just make sense to do that on actual fights and we need to see what the meta will be... lets see. But I like the idea :S
Thanks for this video ! Can you explain me what do you dodge with magic evasion ? its kinda weird when i try to think about it
magic spells. So alls skills from wand + staff
Fireballs
Could you please make the video on the caps bringing maths?
probably not in the near future because the interest into that will be pretty low :S sorry :(
Great video!
What prevents the player for hitting a heavy attack on you?
-
So - is this actually right about endurance and the tooltip ingame is wrong? Because the tooltip for endurance which is in game suggest that it works exactly same as evasion. "If your stat is higher thatn the target's X Critical Hit Chance, for every 10 points of difference, chance increases by about 1%." -> meaning it does nothing if you stat is lower than target's Crit -> Meaning it is the same as evasion - according to the tooltip ingame.
Lets say I roll full crit build, up against a full evasion build. Would my crits get through even with the small chance?
if you cant hit the enemy what is the sense of crit then?
So pretty much full stacking range endurance only gives you 16% dmg reduction against ranged?? That's very little..am I missing something?
no. people always think endurance does so much but in the end its not too much ^^
Great video! Besides evasion and endurance, I wonder how block chance work? Does it simply block everything ?
go to my new tank guide.. in the section where I talk about the gear I explain that :)
What about when T2 comes in? Doesn't it change completely everything?
yes :D
Depends. Early game everyone’s hit chance is low. Building evasion can negate most attacks. Late game everyone has built up their hit chance. Thus building endurancecf to avoid crits.
So for Staff/Dagger i focus more on Evasion?
yes
I got a lot of magic endurance and it seems that wipe attacks of big monsters and bosses are actually magic crit hits. Sometimes these wipe attacks just dont wipe me :)) can anyone confirm this?
Soo. Do either of these stats matter at all when it comes to bosses, or is it ONLY pvp? Cause I never intend to pvp ever.
evasion can be good for PVE but its really not needed
Magnificent video. I have a question what is ur preference about evasion and endurance what would u pick?
depends on the class. I am playing currently sns/gs thats why I am going for endurance
@@grobs4678 im playing gs/dagger what can u suggest me? what should i go evasion or endurance
Endurance is better I think. You can't dodge all the abilities, it's better to be more tank and let the healer cure you
As a tank if comit to evasion does it lose agro?
no
so im going greatsword dagger build and every build says to go evasion, but im not seeing how i can get my magic/range evasion but at all to be enough to even matter.... i need help =[ is melee evasion the only one that actually makes sense to run ?
Dagger passive gives like 600/700 range and Magic evasion after a dash
what about for PVE content? is better go with evasion or endurance?
I would skip it for now complelty... for T1 dungeons not needed but if you want to have something then go for evasion... especially magic evasion because you can also evade some boss mechanics ;)
@@grobs4678 ok, than i would like to prefer evasion, i play this game very casual and pvp content is too much laggy for me, so i would only in the end doing dungeon and peace mode content
What is the better option for PvP healer? Endurance or evasion?
most cases endurance. just because you already getting free endurance from your passive
What would be the best for a full tank character?? Evasion or endurance?
PVP endurance. PVE evasion (for Tanks)
@@grobs4678 ty
Endurance works for boss, mob etc too right?
I actually never tested that.. sorry... would always build evasion for PVE
For bow and wand whats the best stats? Endurance or evasion???
endurance
As bow/dagg when I go up against a healer with maxxed out ranged endurance, I find it super annoying. I cannot nuke them down like im used to and immeditaely just have to attack the other dps and hope he cant outheal my heavy attacks on the dps.
Which one do you recommend for Paladin?
endurance
What about collision? I'm interested in that one.
if you are melee player then you want to stack it in the current meta :D the tornados of bow players suck...
Perfect video thz
np :)
when i get knocked down and hard cc on the floor, works evasion in this situation? enemy miss hits when i on the ground or then not?
yes
@@grobs4678 can the enemy miss his knockdown or stun on my meele evasion? or its the stun and knockdown resistant stat important for that?
@@Charifár a stun from the geatsword for example is a melee attack.. if you have melee evasion you can evade the stun ^^
