So glad to see this story, I grew up with peonies that were taken from my father's childhood home. Loved those easy care plants. I have about 16 different colors in my garden including a beautiful big yellow. Bought 5 new ones this year including that coral you showed us. They are the easiest plants to take care of that I know of. Will be enlarging my main bed next spring to add more peonies, no such thing as too many.
I have one peony plant that is nearly 75 years old. It was my grandma's and I've taken dozens of new plants from the roots over the years. My favorite perennial. They are hardy, trouble-free, sweet-smelling and gorgeous.
Wow.. I really love and so much like to draw these kind of flower. I just find out this is true. When I was just 10 years old, I had just seen these flower before in a textile which is made in China that my mother bought in the market. So now, i knew it.. I now have an idea. I hope that I could grow these colourful Peonies, with Dahlia and different varieties of roses as well. So lovely and beautiful flower. 😍
What a lovely, gentle and informative video. I adore Peonies, how could one not! If I lived near to Prairie Yard and Garden I would ask if I could work there. Kind Regards to all who do. Wendy Hembrow
They are stunning all the varieties.I have seen one where I used to live in Corfu,Greece,in flower in April. I just wish one day I will find the plant in a garden center and be able to buy it.In my country there are wild ones growing on mountains.

I always thought they were American. When I emigrated to the US from Ireland as a child it was the one that immediately caught my eye.
