I’ve been binge watching all your bearded dragon videos since i’m getting one next month and i’ve learned so much
@Zachariah Carrera was wondering the same thing
Yeah how is your bearded dragon
SAME i literally have one and i still do it
i’m getting one next month i can’t wait!!!😂🥺🥺
New sub. Thanks for all the info!
I found a bearded dragon in April of 2022. I tried for weeks to find owner. He was skinny n in poor health. It was still cold out at nite. Not sure how he survived. After a few months of videos n care n good food, he's gained weight n is happy n healthy. I've fallen madly in love. Hes the sweetest boy. My new best friend. I take him everywhere with me. I've got a life time supply of hot hands just because it's cold in Oregon n he doesnt want to stay home. I've learned a lot from all your videos. I think he has landed in good hands.. He's getting very spoiled. I'm very happy hes shown me how wonderful dragons can be. I'm considering starting a rescue because so many people buy them n just loose interest n that's made me aware that help is needed here for them. Also.... Thanks for all the help on the bugs. I have a good size bug farm that is doing well. Your videos have done a lot of good for a lot of people. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
This is so sweet 😭🫶🏻
After 3 failed attempts to get a healthy dragon from Petsdumb, I am happy to say that the dragon I received from you guys is doing very well. Glad I found you guys on here.
So are we. Thank you for your purchase.
We appreciate it.

I am getting a bearded dragon after i graduate (i am a senior, 12th grade, so basically in June) and i am so excited, but i need more tips. This video was extremely helpful, thank you! Now i have a plan on the housing, feeding, and other important requirements of making sure the beardie is happy and healthy. I finally got a job (i am 17) and i can finally make my own money for taking care of my future beardie!
Edit: Today was my last day (since i am a senior, i can leave school earlier) and i am getting my beardie in 2 days!! so excited!
So, how did it go?
Thank you for the information, straight to the point with no chaser!!!! 👍🏼
Thank you for the cool comment...
Great, great help. Thanks. I appreciate the info
solved the problem of mealworms escaping all over the cage, I put a half apple slice in the center of the cup saucer. so far it's been several days and the little guy eats at will and the worms are not dying or escaping under the mat. for my fostering a big feller the super worms are found feeding on orange cricket cubes/apple slices left under an old hide that is too small for him. albeit old habits dye hard for him so only the supper worms that get knocked out of the plastic cup during feeding and getaway are found eating the apple, at least they are not being found dead.
Great step by step video!
Bless you for this channel! My son has always wanted a bearded dragon and he just got one last week as an early Christmas present. A beautiful Rankin's Dragon.❤️ Your channel has the best information I've seen so far on how to take care of them properly. It's so reassuring to know that our temps and humidity have been right according to our area. (BC Canada) Your tips are amazing and so informative! You and your daughter do a great job. Thank you!
Glad I could help!
Hey, how is your Rankin’s Dragon now, a year later? I’m debating between a beardie and a Rankin’s myself…
The both of you are awesome. Thanks for these informative videos. Subbed!
Awesome, thank you!
thankyou so very much i have learned so much and i am going to try this with mine.
just adopted a dragon.. he was free cause his tail was amputated (i had to get him, didn't want someone who doesn't care to get him just cause he was free.) this is my first dragon but i have experience with reptiles.(i have a leopard gecko)... ur videos are really helpful!!! thank u!!
Thank you soo much this was very useful!!😊
I know this is an old video but it did help. Thank you.
Love your Dragon videos!
Can you go through the veggies/fruits that are best to feed?
Ones to avoid?
Yes we can
Thank you!!!
Thanks for the video. I just rescued a severely emaciated dragon, 7 month old female. Not one that I've seen before, I'm even sure she's one of the common subspecies. I am an emerge RVT so I have a lot of experience with sick animals, more so companion over reptiles haha, but I've also owned several species for many years. She's steadily gaining her weight :)
I am also binge watching for my 4 year old is getting one on her birthday next month and I am learning so much thanks
That is awesome!
Thank you so much for this video, I am getting a beardie for my birthday this coming thursday, and your videos have helped me learn so much🙃
Good luck with your new baby!

thank you for all this info I am getting a bearded dragon soon
Our pleasure! Good luck with your future beardie! :)
We use springs to clip on the tube and basking bulb, they stay on the screen top.
Bro I might get a dragon so I’ve been watching so many videos like this
I love your channel. What can you clean your bearded dragons enclosure with?
it’s just the budget for me. i’m just starting out in my life and i just got a job so i won’t have enough money for a while to get one. i just wanna know what i can get for cheap, but still works.
Go to Walmart and get the 24 inch light fixture, get your terrarium from offerup, dollar tree has nice rocks for cheap, Walmart has cheap reptile plants, and you can buy a halogen heat bulb from Lowe's or a chicken feed store!
Check out my channel!
Also you can get a nice thermometer and humidity gauge at Walmart on the electricity aisle.
Go sub to my channel and drop a comment and I'll give you more info.
I got almost everything used and started out my babies in 20 Gal tanks. Petco and Petsmart often have dollar per gallon sales. Take advantage of that.
I bought this substrate that's all natural and self sustaining so I never have to clean it out 😌..makes owning a dragon that much easier 😁
can i have a link to it please!
I might need that, what is it called?
Planning to get a bearded dragon soon and looking at different videos on how to take care of the pet..
Always good to be prepared. Good luck with your future beardie!
I had a question. I have a few Fluval Plant 3.0 lights that I used for planted aquariums that are not currently being used due to downsizing after moving. Would they work well for bearded dragons for their UV exposure, or would you recommend that I buy a specific reptile light?
Hi there
Oh my worry’s of my beardie. He’s brumating, but will eat. He hadn’t pooped for a couple days. What do you recommend to help pass it? Or should I worry? I’ve read to give them pumpkin or apple sauce to help. Also read to give pediolite to give him electrolytes. I gave him a bath but he didn’t pass anything.
Any advise on what helps or what you recommend to try?
I’m getting a bearded dragon this chrismas
I have a 40 gallon tank what wattage should is use for the basking light and what wattage do you use for ubv the long bar light for 40 gallon??
Lol love the bloopers
I want one but my parents are scared of it, sooooo I have to convince the hell out of them first -_- planning to get one this December `3`♡♡♡
same!! i just convinced my mom though:))
Have you got one yet
Yeah my mom is scared of them too and I want a bearded dragon so I have to convince my parents too so good luck
So what’s the difference in a 5.0 and. 10.0 bulb? Does your uvb NEED to be linear?
When should we turn off the basking light?
Can I use regular light bulbs for the basking lamp?
Is it okay to use one light that is for heat, UVA/UVB that would be kept on for 12 hours on the basking side?
Do you need to use a dimmer for basking bulbs?
Can u mix the sand and the boroughing clay and what about a heating pad
Sooooooooooo cute
What's a good weekly feeding schedule for a bearded
I have a male bearded dragon about 2yo and a female about 4yo she seems to want to escape at times lately. Today he saw her and tried to get to her. Does this mean that they want to be together ❤️? Or hurt each other?
Sounds like the male is likely trying to get to the female to breed her.
isnt there spring coils you can buy to put on the heat lamp so when you take the lid off it stays on the lid? if so where do you find them
I need HELP!!! My bearded dragon Bella just laid 10 eggs. What do I need to do next?
I need 🚨HELP🚨 I’ve had my baby beardie for about a month now. I work at a pet store, so I see how eager the babies at our store are to eat every morning. My baby has never been so eager to eat, I have to put everything right in front of his face for him to show any interest. I feed crickets and meal worms, and wax worms to entice him to eat; but half the time I can get him to eat only one insect for me or nothing at all. He seems to be healthy in all other aspects, he’s super alert, sometimes sassy, he likes to run around and explore his 75gal tank (which I went with because you guys said in another video that there is not a problem starting out big since they don’t live in 10gal enclosures in the wild and move their way up as the grow), he drinks water each day for me- though it may take a couple tries to see when he’s thirsty, and he poops normally. He has been shedding a little since I got him, but it hasn’t been a huge shed; just some flakes and peeling here and there that I help him with when I give him a bath. I’ll handle him for at most 15 minutes a day, and was sure not to handle him much in the beginning. The temperatures in his tank follow the recommendations of many individuals as well as Cold Blood Creations. The very top of his basking spot is around 110 degrees, which leaves the floor down below it around 90 degrees. In the middle it’s like 85 degrees; it’s about 95 on top of a log in the middle, and the cool side will get up to 80 degrees according to the thermometer in the middle of the tank on that side, but the floor is usually around 75 degrees. What am I doing wrong? What else can I try? I really worry about his appetite.
I forgot to mention that UVB shouldn’t be a problem either, he’s got a 15 watt UVB light bar right over his basking spot. I also have a single night time bulb in there that keeps his basking spot around 85 degrees at night since my house is on the cooler side, that keeps the rest of the tank around 70 degrees but he sleeps right under it.
How can I purchase a dragon from you guys these days? All the videos are kind of old. I just found ur page and love how much I've learned for my new lil girl! I'd love another one from u
We have a site www.coldbloodcreations.online
Do you keep all the bugs in the fridge or can you keep them out?
This is a great video for beginners! Also, there is a bend in my beardie's tail and I think its tail rot. Can you make a video about tail rot?
Thanks!
Thanks, glad to be of help! And great suggestion
Question: uh so dubia roaches are illegal in florida so are there any other roaches I could feed my bearded dragon, Potato? ( they are illegal because if one escapes, they will multiply so quickly and increase in numbers that they would practically take over all of florida)
Also, I have seen many vivinariums without a substrate, is that a thing you are able to do? I just really don't want it to get impaction as that is the most common way beardies die...
Do they need heat when they are sleeping?
On another video, you said use meal worms and super worms when the dragon gets bigger and not crickets as they die off quicker and to save many trips to pet store. On here you say use a variety. Can u clarify that the worms are sufficient and possibly crickets on occasion? Regards
Beardie will be my next scaly baby. I'll be modifying a curio cabinet for his future kingdom
Miyuki Yori me too, I'm in the process of converting a big dresser right now!
Do u suggest getting the reptile cage that opens from the front so u don't have to worry about moving lights and stuff?
I've personally seen many tanks like that but I am not sure which is better
Can you feed them fruit and veg
I hear this the Lighting need to change after 6month it is true?
How about Heaton pass for the birdie dragon
Hi, I'm about to get a bearded dragon online. And in where I live, it is about 90-96 F° right now. The breeder will ship it and it could take 2-3 days to arrive. Can the dragon arrive healthy?
My neighbor works for a zoo med in San Luis Obispo I live like 20 minutes away
can you use paper towels for bearded dragons
I'm getting a bearded dragon from a friend, which is about a yr or 2 old. I was gonna use grouted tile in half the enclosure and turf in the other half. Is this a good idea? If using sand do you have to replace it everytime you clean their cage?
Turf is a bad idea
Are use sand and tile for my substrate and I do feed my bearded dragon in his cage but I hand feed every single one of his bugs to him
would it be possible to skip the uvb light as long as another source of D3 is supplied?
The only other source we recommend is natural sunlight during the warmer months.
i got a rankins dragon ( i’m not sure if it’s much different) two days ago and he has a lump on his back right leg. he’s walking just fine and seems happy and the leg doesn’t look too bad or seem that it is bothering him. the store said he’s healthy. he hasn’t eaten anything but wax worms since we brought him home and won’t eat his locust or veg.. was wondering if you knew what could be wrong :)
try taking him to a vet if thats still going on...
I love my bearded dragons I have owned them for 9 yrs and I do meal worms and even dead meals to and I go outside and catch my on crickets during the summer time fall weather go out and get 4 to 5 a day and I give the Lettuce and spray water on it and I have a water bowl to and I keep it on the side that don’t have the light and I add calsum powder in it to and I use a heat light and I have a 14 watt uva light and I have them in a 36 18 12 cage zoo med brand 160 from pet smart that’s the only thing I buy from there I get everything else from underground reptiles and my dragons and spicedragons I am looking for another dragon or 2 and I like normals and Dunners and I will do leatherbacks but I will not breed 2 leatherbacks health is more important than anything you had hypo in there and you can get some very beautiful dragons without affecting the health
Adam Holder it isn't a good idea to catch bugs from outside. Insects in the wild very often have parasites and when your reptile eats them they will then get the parasites too. Parasites, just in case you didn't know, can kill a reptile by taking all the nutrition the reptile eats and the reptile sands up starving to death, they can cause internal issues in your reptiles intestines too.
Can breaded dragons see like we do?
I keep my home temperature set at 65 F during winter. What do you suggest I use to maintain the proper night temps?
The thermostat... lol...kidding.
I would use a ceramic heat bulb...
Lol! Thanks for the reply. I do use the ceramic heater and sometime two.
Can you please list the links here
I’ve always wanted a bearded dragon it’s my dream pet and next week well I think so .see it’s my birthday and I was on my parents phone and when I was looking at recents I saw bearded dragons that were for sale and I have been begging them so I hope it’s a bearded dragon
Well happy birthday, and hope you get your favorite pet.
@@ColdBloodCreations thank you soo much
Mine too I'm getting one within a week or so
I wish y’all still sold beardies! Do you have a group of breeders you’d recommend?
Where did you get the idea that we don't? We have them at www.coldbloodcreations.online/dragons
You don’t worry about amount of uvb? What if it is to intense or not enough? Also I’ve heard that the uvb bulb should NOT go all the way across the cage, but only about 2/3 so there is a dark side. Did I hear wrong?
I believe uvb lights should go all the way across, and when its time for him/her to sleep all lights are off.
How would you recommend getting the humidity of the tank down? We do not have a water dish in the tank. Substrate is tile. But humidity will not go below 50-60.
Second! 🥰🥺❤️
We got our first 3 month old bearded dragon, he is now around 8 months old. He eats well a mix of veggie and cricket/super worms. We have been dusting D3 and calcium powder on all feedings. Is this something we should be doing for his age? And do we continue into adulthood? We live up in Canada so he can't always have the natural light.
Yeah, I'd stay with the one with vitamin D3. Use it once a week at least.
You kinda remind me of a comedian named Bert Kreischer haha
I live in North Florida and the temp of my cage at the cool end is around 80-85 but the humidity is around 55%-almost 60% at times i do not leave the water bowl in the tank as suggested at still no luck on lowering it the basking temp does at the highest point of climbing branch is about 110-115* does that sound like a climate acceptable to my beardie?? a reply here would really help as i rarely use face book thanks only had my bearded dragon 1 week
bobcatwelder00 maybe try a very small fan pointed into your cage or blowing just across the top. Try having it blow just across the top at first, monitor the temps and if it doesn't drop the temp and humidity enough gradually start pointing it more into the tank. Beardies need a drier enclosure so they don't get respiratory infections. That should bring the temp down and the humidity as well. Your temps are a bit high and your beardie needs his water bowl.I'm of course not an expert but I live were the temps get pretty high in the summer and I've had to use fans if the temps in my enclosure get to hot.
Try a porus rice sack to absorb humidity.
Crickets shortage going on, my juvenile bearded dragon is 4 months he’s a pretty good size, diet consists of mealworms crickets and greens, tomatoes, lil dude doesn’t like other veggies/fruits. Is it okay for the past 3 weeks 🦗 aren’t a part of diet? Also I have a finicky 2 month old beardie she barley eats, I’ve been giving her Flucker’s Repta Boost, can you help her out ( Advice needed ASAP)
Did your picky eater ever learn to eat?
Must you use insects that hop or climb? Can't they just eat different types of worms? My son just got a baby bearded dragon and the breeder said they been eating meal worms mostly and some veg...is it bad to just feed meal worms and super worms with veg? Also we got the baby last night and it has yet to eat any of the veg we gave him and I heard in one of ur other videos to fast them...does that only apply to adult bearded dragons since babies mostly eat insects?
I have a big fear of insects and even the worms gross me out but the worms are most bearable for me to have in my house lol
Well when u said u needed 2 lights i have both uvb and spot lamp but i have it together so i have both in one im just wondering if its fine for my beardie
I have heard about those but never used one myself.
Oh ok would u recommend it enough so i could used it, it rlly the only on i have right now if not i would get it separate
But they lick everything! And won't it clog de femoral pores? Sand.. Nooo.. Great video! Thanks guys!!
We got a baby bearded dragon a month ago. But every time we take him out to bond, etc. he tries jumping. He's gotten away a couple of times. So far we've been able to find him. What should we do?
Sondra In AZ get a really big wide plastic tub, set it on the ground, without the lid on it, put your baby dragon it it and interact with your baby with your hands inside the tub. That way if he gets away all he's going to do is jump into the tub instead of onto your kitchen floor and scurry away. Make sure the sides of the tub are high enough so your baby can't very quickly climb out and try to handle him lower down in the tub so if he falls he won't have a big fall.
Can I feed them wax worms?
Ok great content but didnt mention how many to feed a baby
What's an ideal enclosure size for a fully grown bearded dragon?
75+ gallons!!
minimum 40 gallons
The bigger the better
@@Walter0409 are u sure thars what I got right now as I bought those starter kits but I hear u needd bigger when they get bigger but I plan just using my 40 gallon tank ad I don't got the space.
4:24 did she say 40 gallon tank for a baby? i might have misheard , but there are no captions on this video.
Yes
How do I feed him greens even tho he’s stubborn and looks over them
Mix em with the bugs
Or hold a hug and greens at the same time in one hand
I need some clarification. I just watched a video of yours that said you rarely feed your bearded dragons crickets. That you primarily feed meal worms. In this video you say pretty much the opposite. So, should crickets or meal worms be their primary protein or does it really matter. I do understand, though, that variety is good.
Variety is the best option. We were saying that you CAN use mealworms and that they are a viable option for dragons diet. You could use ONLY mealworms. It has been done. BUT! That is not the best way to go. We like variety.
So should u do crickets and mealworms like every other day??
is a 30 gallon tank good for an adult bearded dragon? just wondering for when mine is older
Absolutely not. An adult Bearded Dragon should have no less than a 4×2×2 (120-gallon) enclosure.
@@infamousinferno2506 Absolutely not! The minimum is 40 gallons, and the best is 75 gallons.
A 30 gallon is okay for a baby, but you need to upgrade a bit for their older years.
Is a closet a good amount of room for you to live in? A 75 gallon is the minimum you want to keep an adult dragon in, but a 120 gal tank is better. They frequently reach 2 feet long and they need room to move around
Is it okay to buy a pet from petco or petsmart, because I got mine from there and a lot of people are saying its bad to get them from there
Hmmm. I'd say that if ALOT of people are saying the same thing, ya might want to listen.
@@ColdBloodCreations Oh okay but sometimes what they tell you about it is a lie and it could harm the bearded dragon but what if you don’t listen to them because I go off what you say not petco
I’m confused some
People say sand is bad
