Guests can stay in the Mount Airy Home where the Andy Griffith actor lived during his adolescence until his high school graduation. The house contains antiques and is decorated in a 1930s-1940s style with Griffith memorabilia.
Andy’s boyhood home is available for nightly rentals and is within walking distance from downtown Mount Airy, including Snappy Lunch mentioned on The Andy Griffith Show, Floyd’s Barbershop, The Andy Griffith Museum, Opie’s Candy Store, and Mayberry Soda Fountain.

Wow that's awesome i have been watching the series on i think it's called TV Land and seriously enjoying this series i try to watch programs that are family oriented i know and understand that these talented actors and actress are way way before my generation only like ive said this is a family oriented series that keeps me entertained there's another series it's called Mash an obviously we study about the wars from 5th grade throughout college im actually amazed at the accuracy in an throughout that series if you haven't seen Mash i would recommend it to you along with several others because it's another fantastic series. Im really enjoying these series and really appreciate the opportunity to be able to watch these series. Do you happen to know if they still sell the VHS tapes ? Happy Holidays 😊 thank you in advance.

I have been wanting to see inside this place for a long time.
I love the personality of the tour guide. He's fun. I loved the lines he quoted about being at "The Rock." No more peanut butter and jelly sandwiches Leon. I love The Andy Griffith Show. I remember watching it with my dad when I was a little girl. Daddy was always a funny guy so he loved "Andy." In our home if somebody said it's time for "Andy" everyone else knew what that meant. Dad passed his love for the show down to me. I've been watching since I was 7 and I'll soon be 61 so it's been a while. Thank you for the tour of Andy's home place. I enjoyed it very much. Minor changes though out house but still has the same feel .. we it see setting is country farmland !

For one Mr. Andy Griffith had his home leveled it was in his will he didn't want any reminders or people mulling around and the andy griffith show on TV had Upstairs. I'm so confused

Who didn’t and still doesn’t love the show. Andy Griffith was a great actor. I loved him in “A face in the Crowd”. It’s one of my top ten movies.
The host is enjoyable too. I have to wonder where he’s originally from, because he sounds like people from far south New Jersey! 😊

I live 5 minutes from that house
When Andy and his wife spent a night there during the dedication of the Andy Griffith parkway,he said he didn't remember it being that nice when he lived there.
Man in video said no more peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. What about no more of Aunt Bee's kerosene pickles no need for those Andy and Barney are the only ones that ate them and you don't need anything that could set the house 🏡 on fire !! I would love to see Andy's house, maybe someday.

When you learn self-control and you quit smoking cigarettes. Like I did 5 years ago, you will actually be able to smell the Mountain Air and taste food. The way it actually tastes. You should know as a smoker it eliminates smells and tastes.
