I have never come close to the grief and heartbreak over ANY situation in life than I experienced when my beloved baby of 19 years died in my arms from old age. I held her. I spoke to her. I kissed her nose and forehead and stroked her. I cried and at times wailed. I may move past it at some point, but I will never, ever get over her not being with me. Sleeping with me. Playing with me. Drinking water out of the sink faucet. I can't even bring myself to wash the sheets she laid on or the blanket I put around her to keep her warm. When she left this world, she took an unimaginable part of my heart with her.
Get another kitty. Give some love to another in her honor and memory. There are so many out there that need a loving home.. It is difficult, I know. I had one for 30yrs. He was so sweet. It isn't easy. But love again.
Sometimes my heart and my cat's heart synchronize when he lays on my chest, it feels crazy though but it's like the ultimate bonding experience between me and my kitty
Understands Completely. Lost our Tuxedo cat, Female after 18 years. Then found a stray that was dumped @ camp. after a month, Our Beloved Tabby/Tabby cat is now Ours. Going on 2 years now. Have my 4 AM alarm clock back. this cat sleeps like a human, takes him a long time to even move so I can get up. You just never know where you will find him sleeping. Between my legs. Thinks he says, you're not moving me. Bedtime is a circus. Chest pawing, back to legs. this goes on for 30 minutes every night. A pet's true love for his person. Stares at the wife sleeping on the couch. If he can't wake her, my turn. The best nonelectric alarm clock you can have.
@williamclark9624 I could tell when Tink, also a Tuxedo, would get up, play, and then jump in bed in time to sleep 2 or three hours before I would wake up. I always woke up exhausted with him holding me. Now I wake up exhausted because because I'm trying to adjust to him not being there. It's going to take a while because we had a routine for 15 years. I can't think of a better alarm clock. Cats always seem to be right on time :)
I am so sorry. We lost our girl two months ago and her favourite spot was next to my head as well. I still keep that spot open for her. It’ll always be hers.
My one month year old kitten loves sleeping on my chest and when I start to pet her while she goes to sleep she gives me the loudest purrs out there! I love it, never owned a cat, always dogs! ❤️
my kitty was part of a small feral colony i trapped/fixed and then released or re-homed. it took approximately 4+yrs for her to allow me to pet her with both hands. she’s now about 6 and a few months ago started sleeping on my pillow facing me, with her paws on my cheeks. first time it happened i cried a bit. it’s taken so much patience and work from us both. i value the trust she has in me.
Had a similar thing with my first cat. She was a rescue at a shelter, and already about 5~6 months old. Took a good 6~7 months before I could pet her for the very first time. I cried tears of joy. And then it took another few months before she finally slept at my feet in bed. I had a really hard time not moving out of excitement when she did that.
My girls are also feral. Youngest one grew up sleeping with me because she was four months old when I brought her inside. Mom didn’t really sleep with me until she had lived with us for five years. I couldn’t pet her for the first two. Next to, she got to where she would come sit on the bed with me and then leave. Now, each cat takes a pillow left and right of my head. As for crepuscular, I’m the one who gets up in the middle of the night to go pee and disrupts everybody sleep cycle.
My cat, Nirvana, slept between my legs every night. She passed at the age of 22. That was 10 years ago, and I still miss her. She was my daughter and my best friend. I have waited all this time to raise another one. I think it's time.
Oh, yes, please do. There are so many sweet babies waiting on love and a home. Our place felt so empty after our cat passed at 17, we adopted after only 3 months. A full grown rescue. It's 2:30am and she's sleeping in the bend of my knees. She'll awaken me with little pats on my head when she's ready for breakfast.
My Siamese I had for 21 1/2 years would always sleep in between my legs or I would crook my arm and she would curl herself up under my arm, touching my arm and my side. She was wonderful and I miss her and her cuddly self so much. I now have a very handsome rescue Siamese - 20 pounds of him - big kitty. He loves to sleep in between my legs or lying halfway across my belly. He wakes me up with gentle pats to my face. I am blessed.
I was born with infancy arthritis, when the pain gets too unbearable one of my cats will sit right on the spot and stay until her heat helps relieve the pain. She does it every single time. As soon as the pain leaves she moves somewhere else to sleep.
Did you know that purring your cat makes might be doing even more than the heat? Apparently cats use their purr as their own healing and regenerative tool ... and ... we humans benefit from it too ... and some cats share it purposely, as yours probably is doing. :-) Search for something like: Purring . Healing mechanism. And the researcher name Elizabeth von Muggenthaler. It's amazing. (You have a lovely cat obviously!)
I was just gonna comment that it's probably the purr. The purr is of the highest frequency on the planet! It heals! My friend's cat healed her of brain cancer. 😻
It may hard to think you could love a cat or an animal as much as you end up doing, but once you do, both are buddies for life--and that life together is wonderful.
I'm finding it hard to write this but love my babies I'm 82. In March have lots of illness including cancer and my fur babies are the only thing that keep me living I nearly gave up last year as my beautiful boy was shot leaving his 2 sisters and me he would have been 10 like his sisters Jan 18th I miss him every day and cry bur his sisters sleep with me and keep me alive 😢
I had a gray tortious shell persion. Most intelligent cat I have ever seen. He did everything with me from crawling under my car to do repairs, on the bathroom sink as I shaved and even stood in the shower to watch me bath. If I called him, he dropped everything to see what I wanted. I wanted his company! When it was bedtime, I would wake up to find him sleeping on my neck, under my chin. Several times, he would wake me by laying on my face. LOL. That was a little smothering. I loved my cat. My cat loved me. It was an incredible experience and relationship. I have never stopped missing Nicholas, my best friend.
If my cats are not with me at night, I cannot sleep. One sleeps under my arm with this face on my shoulder and the other sleeps on my chest. I am so blessed.
Mine always sleep on or right next to me. & I LIVE for this. I actively encourage it. I'm certain they get up through the night & go do their own Cat-stuff. But they are with me when my eyes close & are still there somewhere when my eyes open.
Exactly the same here! She's even waiting on the bed or on the floor in front of it when it's bed time so she can come and snuggle in for 10 minutes or so before going to sleep on the sofa.
My cat is usually sleeping on the bed already when I go to bed. I'll pet her, she'll get up and leave, and about 5 minutes later when she knows I've settled in and not really moving around anymore she'll come back and join me next to my head. I guess me setting in is annoying for her. :P (Also doesn't help that I have a water bed, so me settling in means the whole thing is bobbing up and down a little.)
My cat does that too...about 9pm, if I'm still watching TV, he will come to my chair next wait for me to extend my arm down to him he will touch my fingers with his nose then walk away to where he sleep. I ove that❤
Cats are pretty persistent if they want to sleep with you. If you leave them outside your bedroom door you might hear the song of their people all night. They can claw and rip up your carpet trying to get in. If you are sick they do not want to leave your side. Amazing an animal who can make it fine without you preferring your company. It really is a high compliment.
Someone I knew who used to work in zoos, said that a cat's affection was like a wild animal choosing to keep you company. Adopted a feral kitten; she hated to be separated from me for an instant; she used to drop her play toy right by the door if I went out (made me feel sad). As she got more mature, the night time shenanigans calmed down. One morning, I was trying to sleep in (her time and my time weren't synched; I felt like 6:30am would be a good time to get up) and I caught her staring at me intently from the floor; went to sit up and she literally flew past me, smacking my face (first right side, then left) and landing on the floor on the other side of the bed. No claws, but definitely not "patty paws" either. Yep, I'm awake now...
Omg, yes!! My one cat will literally paw at the bottom of the door repeatedly….he does it to my sons door 🤣 drives him nuts. I have to sleep with in ear earphones with stream noises blasted up high just to zone out my cats 🤣
@@missindependent1973 My "feral kitty" is now going on 14 years old, and she's still the most playful of my cats. But she knows the night time rules now. No scritching, no licking, no running around the walls, no picking at back toenails noisily. Otherwise, it's out and away from the warm human. At 10pm on the dot, she comes and stares at me. Bedtime, human. Yes ma'am.
My childhood Siamese cat Biscuit would sleep in my arms every night like the perfect, warm stuffed animal! He was the best. I loved him SO much, and unfortunately was forced to give him away by my abusive stepfather. It still pains me to this day that we were separated. He lived to be pretty old-almost 20! I hope we will be reunited in the next life. I love you, Biscuit.
Our Treasure sleeps in my boyfriends arms like that... Its so cute, she will wait on him to come to bed and then snuggle on in but of course I have to be in paw distance so she can touch me... lol Siamese cats definitely have personality... Bed is pretty much the only time she wants anything to do with my boyfriend... She's up my butt the rest of the time... And when she's anxious she will sleep on top of me...
I wish I could sleep with my cat in my arms. Problem is that whenever I allow her to join me under the blankets she'll specifically put her paws on my arm and start kneading...with very sharp nails digging into my skin... I sometimes allow her to join me under the blankets for a while, but once I put my phone away and actually go to sleep she needs to go, sadly...
I can’t imagine not having my fur babies sleeping with me! I love to bond with them in any way I can. Just feeling them up against me gives me such comfort. There truly is no greater love than the love one earns from a cat❤
I normally have one cat sleeping on the bed down by my feet, sometimes two (the other one usually sleeps on a chair next to the top of my bed, or on a blanketed box at the end of my bed, or just outside in the hallway where they know exactly what’s going on in all rooms… or sometimes if they’re feeling super introverted they’ll be on their cat tree in the living room!)… or my big ginger boy will very frequently come and curl up in a ball right next to my pillows when he doesn’t want to stretch out horizontally anymore, with his head resting on one of my pillows next to me, and sometimes with his paws reaching out to rest on my arm while he snoozes 😻 Last night I had to deal with two very large Maine Coon cats sleeping on my bed for a change*, forcing me into a weird position to fit my whole self actually in to my bed (especially when I woke up and needed to change position, and was constrained!), and today I have all kinds of weird aches and pains and cricks in my neck as a result 😹 It was windy and rainy all night, but my flat is a greenhouse and I definitely didn’t need that level of feline hot water bottle… I had all kinds of weird dreams where various limbs were injured, and I then woke up very hot and with bits of my body feeling numb due to a cat impinging on them 😏 Despite all this… when I wake up sometimes and there are no cats on my bed, or even in my room, I feel a total sense of loss! 😿 I hope that when they hear my alarm or me moving about and showing signs of life, at least one of them will come in and come for cuddles, but sometimes it’s just a total snub because they’re happy and comfy where they are, and I eventually have to give up and get up without any cat bed-cuddles! 😿 * This morning I did also wake up to a little kitten-cuddle-puddle at the end of the bed, with the both of them having been in a little warm pile for most of the night (with the exception of when the big bad ginger boy tried to climb the bedroom curtains while yelling at me until I sleepily made grumpy noises at him and reached an arm out of bed to nudge him in a different direction! Just as well they’re cute 😸)
With all the cats that have been in my life, the greatest honour is to sleep with my cats. Stimpy my last cat, .He would sleep so close to me under the covers purring away. How special it is to share life with theses amazing creatures
My boy Chase passed a few months ago at age 17..he wouldn't sleep in my bed but would sleep in his bed right next to me on the floor.knowing I wake @ 4am for work he would wake me never fail by tossing my slippers around the room and know on The weekend to be quiet and refrain from the slipper toss...I miss him so much and know I can't replace his larger than life personality but I know eventually I will get a rescue who needs a loving home...RIP CHASE I feel your spirit daily...😻❤️...
I know this so well, missing a much loved, best furry friend. Although we have a new boy CATNIP, dearly loved by us, I still miss my little, old girl ROO . She was a semi-feral cat . To tame her I carried her in a pouch close to my body, spoke to her, stroke her, gave her warmth, cuddles. She was somehow my girl . She slept on my duvet between my legs, very cosy for her, I couldln't move. Luckily she didn't stay the whole night or I had to pay for a physiotherapist ! RIP LITTLE ROO !❤❤❤❤❤
Ever since my 15 year old kitty, Lil' Boy, was a kitten when he see's me hop in bed, he comes running over and we share my pillow. lol He purrs for the longest time too. And I really love it as well, he will straighten out his front leg and his paw must rest right next to my cheek. The joy of cats. *big smile*
My, Lux, (5 years old) sleeps were he wants on or near me. Some times next to my head, or on my chest, a notch in my legs. But Boots , ( 1 year)always at the bottom of the bed.
My husband has a theory he calls “ The Photoelasticity of cats.” It means that the cats get much larger in the dark. When the lights go on, the cats shrink back to their normal sizes. We usually get 3 or 4 cats sleeping with us and by morning we are nearly falling out of bed, while the cats are scattered all over the bed.
This is so relatable. My husband and I stretch waaaaay out when we sleep and we move a lot. We like to have one knee up and one leg stretched way out. We currently have a Queen sized bed and when even one cat sleeps with us we feel cramped. When all three sleep with us… there’s no where to move! We don’t want to kick them (but accidentally do in our sleeps sometimes) so we try not to move but then body parts start falling asleep so we lie awake in pain. It’s a nightmare. I prefer them NOT to sleep with us because we end up not sleeping as well for fear of kicking them or just from pure discomfort.
@@tarabooartarmy3654 wow, 3 cats & 2 stretchy humans, yeah that's a lot, 🥱makes me tired yet also it "sounds" cozy for awhile..I think it said in the video about getting separate "sleepy things" for your cats and if the room is large enough put them in there, though I'm sure the cats might be too use to going on your beds. Awww, perhaps then like kids, they need their own beds now in a different room and you and hubby have to give extra extra attention. Good luck & happy bedtime to all 5 of you. 😺😴😺😴😺💞
I’ve had 3 cats in my life, the first one adopted ME when he was 14 years old and for the last four years of his life he slept in my arms every night, head on my pillow with his nose pressed to under my eye. The two cats I have now were rescues: one sleeps propped on a pillow at my side/back. The other sleeps in a little furry cat hut at my head. All of us in a single bed! It’s quite crazy, but wouldn’t have it any other way ♥️
My gf just re-homed her mother's cat, and within days she had a sudden business trip. I watched him for a few days. The first day he was SO scared, he was under the bed or in the closet all day. However, when I went to bed, I was only laying down 30 seconds when he lept up and slept against me. By the morning, he was hiding from me again. It was a little confusing but funny too.
That's quite the rollercoaster of emotions for the little guy! Cats can be such mysterious creatures sometimes. It sounds like he found comfort with you during the night but was still adjusting to his new environment during the day. Thanks for sharing this sweet story! 🐱💕
We rescued a 12 year old feral whom I had been feeding for several years and she has become so much more comfortable every day. She used to sleep with one eye open, literally, and now sleeps so soundly she startles when we touch her. She did the stay in her zone during the day and explore by night thing for a bit. She now hunts us down just so we’ll pick her up and snuggle her. The more you are around and show yourself to be trustworthy, the more he’ll warm to you.
Our cat adopted us off the street. Real sweet and loving until she got her belly full, then she didn't want any interaction with us other than food for about 2 years. But when she thought we were asleep she would jump up on the bed and snuggle up to our feet. Years later, I'm pretty happy if I can convince her to do some kind of snuggle that doesn't have her butt right on my neck or face.
My kitty is a support animal. He acts like a service dog when it comes to my ptsd or diabetes acting up and gets me to sit or lay down by walking in front of me pushing me towards the couch. He rarely leaves my side when im home and watches over me. I love having him with me.
A few weeks ago I was sick with Covid and recovering was an awful process lol. One of my cats usually sleeps at my legs, while the other goes under the covers and uses my arm as a pillow. On one of my worst nights with a bad sore throat, both decided to cuddle next to my face and on my chest. My orange kitty purred almost all night, and it just made me feel so much better and I knew they were trying to comfort me! My other cat did this a different time too back when we were still getting acquainted with each other. Cats are such wonderful creatures and I'm so grateful for mine ❤
I adopted a stray ginger that was in such bad condition I called him Bones. After feeding him up to a reasonable condition he would sleep across my neck/throat purring constantly which reverberated in my chest. I would often massage his ears and he surprised me one day by massaging one of my ears with his paw when I had him in my arms.
I’ve had cats most my life. They always slept with me. One always wrapped around the top of my head like ear muffs. Under my chin and behind my knees were where most slept. My last one always slept on my hip and since I have arthritis there it was always a warm spot and his weight was enough to help the pain ease off so that was a win win situation for us both. My current cat wants to sleep in a room by herself and comes to tell me it’s bedtime every evening. she has two beds, a litter box, and dry food, plus a closet with another bed and two shelves, and a cat tree, high places, low places, hiding places, rugs, toys, lots of windows in her bedroom. She’s a rescue who didn’t grow up with dogs and we have a dog that she has buffaloed during the day but I think she feels more secure in the room where the dog can’t go at night. Had her 2 & 1/2 years now. Fluffy and sassy.
When my anxiety is really bad or I am crying/ feeling upset. They always cuddle to me, sleeping on me, purring. They are my little therapists. I love them so so much!
You're right about them hogging the bed. I had one who'd inch his way taking up more space as the night went on. Wake up in the morning to a small tabby hogging literally 1/2 of the bed. Cat was a menace! A smooth criminal! 😁
My cat loves sleeping with me and normally stays the whole night. We go to sleep together and get up together. She has 1 side of the bed to herself, but she mostly sleeps at hip hight lying close to me. I love her so much.🥰❤
A couple weeks after we adopted our guy he developed conjunctivitis in one eye. The vet thought it was an infection, but the drops didn't help and the other eye developed it too. He was ok with 1 eye, but with both eyes he could barely see and we could tell he was frightened. More so because he was still learning his new environment. Every night we carried him to bed with us so he wouldn't be left alone in the dark all night and would feel safer. A specialist determined it was herpes and changed drops and his conjunctivitis went away, but I think this helped him bond with us even more. Almost 12 years later he still comes to bed with us every night.
Ugh I feel your pain I'm going through that very same thing right now. Worse is the doctor says not transferable. They couldn't have been more wrong as this week will be my 3rd visit to my eye doctor with my conjunctivitis that they swear I did not get from the cats because they can't transfer it, which I'm disabled and actually without getting off subject here pretty much incapacitated let's put it that way. I did get it from the the new kitten that brought it in and we can't get rid of it. The cost of meds has thankfully been covered by insurance but we're going on 2 almost 3 months now and I haven't had pink eye since I was 9 years old. I'm now 50. Idk how to even put it into words except now sleep deprivation along with the fun, funnies, and routine kitten to cat transformation😂. I forgot how much attention babies need. However It's now spread to my adult male but not my adult female. Makes zero sense. Best regards I know it's not hard but it's not easy either. Any suggestions that got you through? Thank you in advance for your time and consideration. God bless ❤
Oh dang I reread you comment and herpes if that's what they have I'm going to just die at this stage of the game. Isn't that lifelong? Is it transferable because I no longer believe the doctors?
@@dabzprincess92 Feline herpes is a respiratory infection in cats and it can be spread from cat to cat like a flu or cold. It is not transferrable to humans though. Yes, it's for life, but in our cat's case it hasn't been an issue. He's only ever had 2 other flareups and both were brought on by stress following a surgery. It's basically the equivalent of a person that gets cold sores. Usually not an issue, but things like stress or lowered immune system can cause a flare up. If it's Feline herpes the eye specialist suggested we give him lysine treats. We did the first couple years, but since he never really had an issue we haven't gotten them in years. I will say our regular vet didn't know what the issue was and since the eyedrops she gave us weren't working she suggested seeing the eye specialist. It took the specialist 5 minutes to figure out it was herpes because looking in his eye he found previous scarring. He stopped those drops and gave us different ones and his eyes cleared up pretty quickly.
My Jake would do this too. He’d get right under the covers and snuggle into me. He passed this past summer at age 19. He was just one big love bug. I miss him.
I just lost my Calico girl at 15. I miss her so much 😢she didn't complain, I never knew her body was shutting down until she stopped eating, drinking, and potty box. I love and miss my Tinkerbell.
Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about your Tinkerbell. Losing a furry family member is never easy, especially one as special as your Calico girl. It sounds like she was a wonderful companion who lived a full life filled with love. Sending you lots of love and comforting purrs. ❤️🐱💕
My cat has been with me for almost 2 years and is still very skittish, he doesn’t want to be picked up and will mostly hide during the day but as soon as I lay down in bed, he curls up right in my lap and sleeps there all night. It melts my heart, I just wish he was that affectionate when I’m awake 😂
We have a cat that was abandoned in the field next to our vet’s clinic at about 3 weeks old. Our vet took her in and nursed her back to health. We had recently lost a cat and went to pick up her ashes. They were waiting for us! Mike had her named before I even saw her! One thing we’ve noticed about Nixie (Onyx) is that she doesn’t do normal kitten things; for example, she doesn’t make biscuits-I don’t think she had a chance to nurse. She has several sleeping positions. She starts the night sleeping under the covers in the space where my knees are drawn up. She spends the whole night there during the winter. My husband sleeps with one leg straight and the other drawn up. Sometime during the night she’ll crawl out from under the covers and sleep in the triangle my husband’s legs form. Her next spot is on my legs-by that time, I’ve straightened my legs so she sleeps on one leg and puts her head on the other. She spends the morning watching the activity in our holly tree-birds and squirrels entertain her. But when she’s worn out from her morning watch, she sleeps next to me in my recliner. We think all these different positions are because she wasn’t raised in a litter but alone in a cage at our vet’s office.😢
I think it's mostly because they like to feel the warmth of our bodies. Also, we've taken care some strays in the past the grew up together as kittens. They also do the same whenever they're sleeping, they would always find another one that they can sleep alongside with. I think it's a natural cat habit/instinct.
my cat typically sleeps by my head. about 2 years ago I had minor surgery and had to stay in bed for a few days to recovery. the whole time he laid pressed against my belly where the wound was and would not leave that spot. He kept it warm and purred constantly. Keeping injuried areas often can promote healing as can the hz of a cat's purr, he knew what he was doing; lol
I have always had a cat in my life. My living circumstances now don't allow it and it leaves a hole in my soul. There's nothing like bonding with a cat. Dogs are cool and all but if you gain the affection of a cat it means so much more. And to have a cat sleep with you is the ultimate bond. Nothing else like it.
I have a cat who was completely terrified when I met her. she had been bounced from home to home and even got thrown down a flight of stairs as a kitten. needless to say, when I met her she wanted nothing to do with me or anyone else for that matter. now, after a year and a half, she sleeps on me almost every night and is the sweetest cat I've ever met.
The simple answer to the title is because you’re warm!! Anyone who’s commented about the loss of their fur baby, hang in there, eventually you’ll be able to just remember the good fun you had together. If you’re grieving and live in the UK, cats protection has a grief line number to support you through this.
My cat waits for me to lay into bed, and open my blanket so she can lay on my chest, with her head on my pillow next to me and under my blanket. It's so sweet waking up with the most precious face next to yours every morning on the pillow 💕
Something I've noticed about cats with their sleep cycle, is at first they completely relax; totally zonked out. After a while tension seems to build up in their muscles or bodies, and they must move or change position to disperse that tension.
one of my cats has this in an extreme. He moves at least 10 times in 10 minutes😂, when he lays on my lap. Also you can tell he is tense because his claws are out alot and just by looking at his forehead. Other days he can just lay and fall asleep in my arms, but less likely. The other 2 cats are not as tense, much more relaxed. Maybe it's a character thing? I don't know. Just odd that he is so extreme compared to the others. also he always wants to rub on my face and climb my chest up, which hurts alot.
My two boys (4/2 yrs) are both rescues from the street. It was difficult for the youngest, Eddy, because he was tossed in an alley at 2am when we heard him crying. He was only 2weeks old! I was able to coax him, and he fenangled his tiny self through my open window from the rain and has been with me ever since! He's now 2yrs old and sleeps on my chest! My oldest kitty, Harry, was completely abandoned on the street at only 1 year. Now, after 3 yrs, he won't leave my side! Many times, he and Eddy will pile up on my chest while I'm watching TV or beat me to my bed at night! I love them both so much. Great video!❤
Aww thats so lovely you took them in, my joey sleeps by my side and likes little tickles when i stop, he reaches his paw out of the clovers and pats me, has it to say carry on tickling me 😂
My husband is the most loved. He has a head cat, a cat on each side an another at his feet. He is also a restless sleeper, but they tolerate it. I get 1 cat at my feet- an I’m called the crazy cat lady!! (We have 9 cats)
My cats are so in sync with me that if at any time my breathing or heart rate goes up, whether I'm having an anxiety attack, exercising, crying, or, um, enjoying my partner, they come running with big eyes and start pawing at me and meowing like they think I'm dying. I have to pet them and talk to them in a calm voice to let them know I'm ok, then they go back to whatever they were doing. :)
I love it when the night routine of brushing my teeth tells Lapis I'm ready for bed. He either is already in position in my bed or lieing near the bathroom door. Once the light goes off and i' m meditating he is sound a sleep. I always tell him i love him before i bed down. But the morning ritual of waking me begins too early. Not complaining he is too loved to get angry with 😍
Our oldest cat, Toby, snores in his sleep. At the same time, our youngest cat, Pepper, makes little mewing/chirping sounds in her sleep. She also takes turns with the middle kitty, Dingbat, sleeping on my head 😂
My cat just makes room for himself on my pillow...and I gladly make room for him. He's been so sweet and full of love since the day I adopted him. Your videos have helped me understand him better, thank you!
I had a cat named kitty she lived to 19 years old and she always slept between my legs or on the side of me between my husband and Me and there’s where she died sleeping between both my husband and me I still miss her.
I really love cats, ever since I was a baby there was always a cat sleeping next to me. I adopted many cats throughout my life time, and rescued others, all with unique personalities and sleeping patterns. Right now I have three cats, with various sleeping arrangements. Caesar will sleep either by my chest or even above my pillow, he also likes sleeping next to me under the blankets and my arm around him…he is 14 years old. His sister Cleopatra, died from cancer at age 12 and I noticed he still misses her so he has decided to be near me more now. Copper, 12 years old, sleeps above my pillow, while Annie, much younger, sleeps on my legs or between them. Sometimes it’s hard to have Annie be there because her weight on my legs, I get this achey feeling which wakes me up during the night. I adopted Annie after her family members moved to another city. It wasn’t long when she decided to sleep next to me and on my legs. Annie keeps an eye on me and my breathing during the night. When my alarm goes off, she is there on my chest and in my face trying to wake me up, all the time mewing and licking my face…🤣. Above all of this, they take turns on where they will sleep next, and alternate between them, when one gets off another follows in pursuit ….😉. They definitely are my constant companions. 👍❤️🙏🏼
Crying my eyes out as I miss my 16 years old cat Kiah in USA while I am in Pakistan for a year. His brother Conan died in Jan 2020 and is buried in our garden among rose bushes. The hey both used to sleep with us till sunrise ! ❤ your cats and dogs, as you would outlive them but carry their memories in your heart for rest of your lives.
My Roxy girl and I had the most comfortable sleeping arrangement. She liked to sleep on my right side about chest high. I would roll on my right side and put my arm around her. We both slept so well that way!
I rescued my cat and she sleeps with me by my head everynight. Sometimes she will get up and readjust to her being against my chest with her head right by mine. I love it. I especially love hearing her purr. She cuddles every chance she gets. I always considered myself a dog person but im a cat person too now ❤️😀
Very nicely done! Funny about snoring, the fat cat I used to have named pinky would snore so loud he would wake me up almost every night. Thanks for posting.
Thank you for sharing that! Pinky sounds like quite the character. It's amazing how such small creatures can make such loud noises. Glad you enjoyed the video, and I hope it brought back some fond memories of Pinky for you! 🐱💤🌙
It's hard to get out of bed with a pack of cats . I had one sacked out on my chest . Two At the foot of the bed , one I shared the pillow with , and one under the bed snoring .
I found my kitten and bottlefeeded her. She’s really affectionate and thankful. She loves to sleep on top of my chest with her nose against my cheek. And she loves to follow me around the house everywhere I go 😂 it’s sometimes a bit annoying but I still love her so much❤
Cats are THE best creatures on earth. I’ve always had cats, ever since I was a baby. I will always have them, until the day I die ❤ I currently have two rescues, Flash & Phoenix. They are my world and are spoiled rotten. Wouldn’t have it any other way!
My pet, Peeve, will sleep under my bed a lot but will lie on the bed as well. He will sleep at the corner of the bed sometimes but will normally sleep in another room entirely. He will rarely sleep near me except occasionally sleeping on my legs when i am in my recliner. He does like the sleeping on the recliner anyway so I could just be in his way, lol. Even though he does not sleep near/on me often I still know he loves me and we have a deep bond.
Just because they sleep at your feet I don’t think means they trust you any less. My British shorthair used to literally race me up the stairs to my bed, every night. But he always slept head furthest away and by my legs stretched out. We were extremely close, I don’t think him sleeping by my head would have meant we were closer!
My boy comes for a cuddle and sits as high up on my chest as he can and then goes to sleep either on my chest, over my shoulder with his head on my face or against my neck and face with his head on my cheek, so this video made me pretty happy!
The most cuddliest cat I had was named Bob, r.i.p. little buddy, who had a love of literally crawling under my blanket to lay down over my arm, allowing me to wrap my arm around them and they were all purr-purr-purr... He was a cuddlebug indeed, even as an elderly kitty. Every time I sat down in my chair, he was already pawing at my knee, meowing at me asking to come up to lay on my lap. He was annoying at times but I still loved him... .... I miss him dearly... he passed away in my arms during the night, cuddled up in his favorite spot...
We had several cats troughout the years and all of them have a special place in my heart. My parents adopted Susi in 2006 and she died three years ago. Whenever she took a rest on my legs and started purring it took just one or two minutes to fall asleep.
One of my cats is currently curled up in the middle of my bed so I'm squashed up against the wall. We all know what her body language is telling me, "I'm your cat overlord therefore this entire bed is mine. You should feel grateful to be in my presence, puny human!" 😂❤🥰
My Cookie sleeping with me always was a lovely experience. It was so very soothing. He loved to sleep either on my belly, my back, next to my thigh or, his favourite place because I do tend to move a bit, next to my head on my pillow. And he would purr purr purrrrr. I so miss him.
I don’t know how people think cats are mean. I’ve been around cats since I was born, had my own cats since I was 2. All 3 of my cats sleep with me at night but my shyest cat cannot sleep unless he’s touching me, he craves my arms around him! Even if it’s not nighttime whenever I’m sitting he comes over for cuddles and a nap. If I get up in the middle of the night so does he and when I go back to bed he’s immediately there! He hates everyone else but me and I love it, he makes me feel so special! The day before I adopted him he was adopted but the family brought him back to the shelter, I’ve had him for 3.5 years and he’s so appreciative and looks at me as if I can do no wrong
The idea that cats are mean really doesn’t hold up when you hear stories like yours, where a cat shows so much affection and trust. It’s incredibly sweet that he seeks out your presence for comfort, wanting to be close to you whether it’s night or day. It seems like he’s truly found his person in you, someone who understands and respects his need for closeness and security. Your story is a beautiful reminder of the unique and loving relationships that can flourish between cats and their humans. 🐾💖
My Rennie likes to sleep on my chest, his 14lb body stretched from shoulder to shoulder, his face tucked in the bend of my elbow. The only part I don't like is that he usually walks on & off my chest several times before settling down. Otherwise, it's very soothing.
My cat started sleeping at my feet first and worked his way up closer to my face over time. He liked to curl up in the crook of my neck and go to sleep. His purr was like having the noise of a fan on to help you sleep. I miss him so much.
Almost 30 years ago that I had a bad cold that I slept with my 2nd cat in bed with me for a hour and a half. I had a special bond with him a little bit over 12 years. I became best friends with him when he was a stray in the backyard. He was friends with our 1st cat.
I have two 7 year old female cats. Both regulary sleep in my bed about 30-80% of the night I guess. One of them always sleeps between my legs at the start of the night, - later when I wake up , mostly sleep at the foot part of my bed on the blanket. The other one of them tends to sleep at my left arm and thorax. I love that. And when I am ill and have to stay in bed they stay with me the whole day !
My cats like to sleep inside the back of my legs. Or sometimes behind my back. They seem to be secure that way. They even take turns behind me. It also makes me feel happy. I like it when one of them sleeps on my ribs. It’s like an all night hug.
I am sorry for your loss. Sending love and hugs your way.
Get another kitty. Give some love to another in her honor and memory. There are so many out there that need a loving home.. It is difficult, I know. I had one for 30yrs. He was so sweet. It isn't easy. But love again.
I'm so sorry😢
What a great blessing that you got to share those years with your beautiful cat ❤
I hope you can find peace in your shared memories. ❤
I love reading these comments. People who aren’t ‘cat people’ just don’t understand the bond.
Love our kitties!
So true! ❤✨🐯🦁🐱✨💕✨
Yes indeed!!
That's not even remotely accurate or fair. I'm a cat person 100%, but the same bond between humans and dogs exists. Love is love, and not fade away.
Sometimes my heart and my cat's heart synchronize when he lays on my chest, it feels crazy though but it's like the ultimate bonding experience between me and my kitty
@@rockk9753 I can understand that.
I lost my boy 1 month ago, and we shared a pillow for 15 years. I miss him so much, and I still have a hard time sleeping without him.
I'm so very sorry.. I know your heart is hurting. Someday another little furry one will need that love❤. Trust me, I just learned this.
i understand. 💜
I am so sorry. We lost our girl two months ago and her favourite spot was next to my head as well. I still keep that spot open for her. It’ll always be hers.
Cat’s sleeping near you or sitting next to you is such a comfort! Sheer heaven. Love your cat it’s so worth it!
My cat sleeps with his head on my shoulder. I’ve had him for 14 years. My cat snores gently. I find it soothing.
He's just hoping you die so he can eat your nose.
A cat purring by your ears is the best ASMR going.

What? Lies there hoping you'll die so he can start chowing down?@@sisterhoney61
You sound like a special person.
Awesome! God bless you!
You just made me cry a bit. A cat's trust is the most precious thing I know.
My cat, Nirvana, slept between my legs every night. She passed at the age of 22. That was 10 years ago, and I still miss her. She was my daughter and my best friend. I have waited all this time to raise another one. I think it's time.
I hope you find a new baby that eases your pain, I'm so sorry for your loss
Good luck with being adopted by a new kitty ! They will choose you!
My cat does this, or sleeps on me. ❤️
The females in my house always found our cats sat on our abdomen when it was that time of the month. A purring heating pad.
@@CrankyGrandmamy late cat did this. It was so soothing
My Paddy used to know when I were unwell and would lay with me.

Same!
❤
My cats come to say goodnight. They just check and snuggle then go sleep in another room. Love this night routine.
I ove that❤
Same with me she has a lot of spots but she comes to me before bed then moves on to her spots.
Cats are the sweetest, best companions. Love them all.
Yes ma'am.
Have been ill all day. My old girl has been checking in with me all day, lying on me and purring.

You will
Our Treasure sleeps in my boyfriends arms like that...
You will see him again

I can’t imagine not having my fur babies sleeping with me! I love to bond with them in any way I can. Just feeling them up against me gives me such comfort. There truly is no greater love than the love one earns from a cat❤
My youngest is a rescue and when she came home she didn’t know how to purr or play. Now you can hear her doing both all over the home.
@@BeckBeckGo 🥰
You’ve never been laid, clearly LOL
I normally have one cat sleeping on the bed down by my feet, sometimes two (the other one usually sleeps on a chair next to the top of my bed, or on a blanketed box at the end of my bed, or just outside in the hallway where they know exactly what’s going on in all rooms… or sometimes if they’re feeling super introverted they’ll be on their cat tree in the living room!)… or my big ginger boy will very frequently come and curl up in a ball right next to my pillows when he doesn’t want to stretch out horizontally anymore, with his head resting on one of my pillows next to me, and sometimes with his paws reaching out to rest on my arm while he snoozes 😻
Last night I had to deal with two very large Maine Coon cats sleeping on my bed for a change*, forcing me into a weird position to fit my whole self actually in to my bed (especially when I woke up and needed to change position, and was constrained!), and today I have all kinds of weird aches and pains and cricks in my neck as a result 😹 It was windy and rainy all night, but my flat is a greenhouse and I definitely didn’t need that level of feline hot water bottle… I had all kinds of weird dreams where various limbs were injured, and I then woke up very hot and with bits of my body feeling numb due to a cat impinging on them 😏
Despite all this… when I wake up sometimes and there are no cats on my bed, or even in my room, I feel a total sense of loss! 😿 I hope that when they hear my alarm or me moving about and showing signs of life, at least one of them will come in and come for cuddles, but sometimes it’s just a total snub because they’re happy and comfy where they are, and I eventually have to give up and get up without any cat bed-cuddles! 😿
* This morning I did also wake up to a little kitten-cuddle-puddle at the end of the bed, with the both of them having been in a little warm pile for most of the night (with the exception of when the big bad ginger boy tried to climb the bedroom curtains while yelling at me until I sleepily made grumpy noises at him and reached an arm out of bed to nudge him in a different direction! Just as well they’re cute 😸)

sorry to hear about your loss, it is so painful to say goodbye to a good old friend.

*big smile*
My new black kitten Lucipurr Cole loves to sleep by my neck.
My, Lux, (5 years old) sleeps were he wants on or near me. Some times next to my head, or on my chest, a notch in my legs. But Boots , ( 1 year)always at the bottom of the bed.
I wake to a tail slapping my face which is pretty much on her butt. I know she plans this.
All the stock photos of people cuddling with their kitties melted me and I feel a huge dopamine rush LOLLL. I love cats so much.
I like that theory AND the word “photoelasticity” is a fun word to describe it!

Spirituality that may be true 😻

My kitten is 5 months now and she sleeps on the pillow next to me and my dog at the end of the bed! I love having the company.
That is adorable.

My cat & I warm each other up, from my heart to my feet❤
I just got my cat, first night she slept at the foot of my bed. I loved it!
@@johnjr757 all of my years especially volunteering I really have not come across this and I appreciate you for educating me on that thank you
My Shadow used to sleep next to my chest under the blanket with me.He passed at the age of 14 two years ago.forever in my heart. 💜.
My Jake would do this too. He’d get right under the covers and snuggle into me. He passed this past summer at age 19. He was just one big love bug. I miss him.
🥰🐾🐾🐈⬛
I just lost my Calico girl at 15. I miss her so much 😢she didn't complain, I never knew her body was shutting down until she stopped eating, drinking, and potty box. I love and miss my Tinkerbell.
Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about your Tinkerbell. Losing a furry family member is never easy, especially one as special as your Calico girl. It sounds like she was a wonderful companion who lived a full life filled with love. Sending you lots of love and comforting purrs. ❤️🐱💕
can't beat a cold night, lots of blankets, and a cat or 2 in bed with you!
Nix
They enjoy your company and luv chilling with you. Its really that simple.
My cat waits for me to lay into bed, and open my blanket so she can lay on my chest, with her head on my pillow next to me and under my blanket. It's so sweet waking up with the most precious face next to yours every morning on the pillow 💕
Mine is a lap cat.
That's sweet
I think that's just the cat dreaming.
They like to keep warm!
I loved the comment about cats hogging the bed. It always amazes me that my 7 lb kitty can take up so much room. Then gets upset when I move her. 😂😂😂
My cat is 20 pounds! Talk about taking up the bed!! Lol it’s the best
Somehow, my cat takes up all but a foot of my queen-size bed. That’s what I get.
My Cleo sleep's up against the middle of my back and I love it. She has been my little friend for 14 year's❤
I love that your cat's name is Dingbat. Must have a very interesting personality
The cat that has enslaved me, makes sucky noises while sleeping, yuck.
Isn’t your head the hottest part of the body. That why we wear a hat when we go out in the cold
My youngest cat name is Tobi, he just turned 3😂
Condolences on Your loss.
Wishing You Well in the days ahead
Sadness and Grief not Easy.
I’m 49 years old…. And I can’t even imagine a life without a few
Cats in my life!…. Best friends a human can have!…. 💯
My orange tabby boy's snoring was as comforting to me as his purring was. Such a precious boy, now gone.
I have a cat named Roxy...I call her Roxy girl all the time!!
I rescued my cat and she sleeps with me by my head everynight. Sometimes she will get up and readjust to her being against my chest with her head right by mine. I love it. I especially love hearing her purr. She cuddles every chance she gets. I always considered myself a dog person but im a cat person too now ❤️😀
Cats sleep with the people they love! Cat people know cats can be just as sweet and loving as dogs.
7 of my 8 tribe members sleep on my bed, this was helpful. Thank you.
I had a black cat, he would curl up on my husband's lap - hard to tell who snored louder!
@@maryellenshock
Hahaha..snoring in stereo.
All 6 of my cats sleep with me and I love it ❤
I'd be in paradise if I could have 6 babies
You have a purr blanket!
It's hard to get out of bed with a pack of cats . I had one sacked out on my chest . Two
At the foot of the bed , one I shared the pillow with , and one under the bed snoring .
I found my kitten and bottlefeeded her. She’s really affectionate and thankful. She loves to sleep on top of my chest with her nose against my cheek. And she loves to follow me around the house everywhere I go 😂 it’s sometimes a bit annoying but I still love her so much❤
She's doing it because she's curious about what you're doing, and loves you!!
The cats in this video made me 🥹 sweet babies 💞
Cats are THE best creatures on earth. I’ve always had cats, ever since I was a baby. I will always have them, until the day I die ❤ I currently have two rescues, Flash & Phoenix. They are my world and are spoiled rotten. Wouldn’t have it any other way!
I agree! ❤
One of my cats snores so loudly at night that sometimes I have to wake up her, and I found that really sweet and funny
My pet, Peeve.... LOL had to read twice😏
Oh, I love that you named your cat Peeve. That's awesome!!!😂😂😂
We lost our first cat last February, she was a Devon Rex and loved sleeping nose to nose with me every night, love you girl!
Love this!!! My kitty sleeps on my legs, so cuddly, love her🐈😍🤗
Our cat decide which part of the bed I sleep.
My golden boy snuggling beside me as I watch this. These feline defo knows how to spread love.
One of my cats is currently curled up in the middle of my bed so I'm squashed up against the wall. We all know what her body language is telling me, "I'm your cat overlord therefore this entire bed is mine. You should feel grateful to be in my presence, puny human!" 😂❤🥰
My black cat cuddles next to me around my shoulder. Meanwhile my black/white Tuxedo Cat sleep above my head! Love them to bits!
My Cookie sleeping with me always was a lovely experience. It was so very soothing. He loved to sleep either on my belly, my back, next to my thigh or, his favourite place because I do tend to move a bit, next to my head on my pillow. And he would purr purr purrrrr.
I so miss him.
For warmth, heartbeat, and security.
My catty-kitty curls up sometimes with her back pressed to my back.
The feline film on this video is lovely - so visually pleasant. Thank you.
This was helpful in explaining why my cat sleeps in between my legs and sometimes on my chest.
Lol, my cat is actually sleeping next to me in bed right now as I'm watching this. 😊
Me too❤
My cat is right next to me on the couch. Lol
My cat stole my bed, I’m forced to sleep on the floor forever
My Rennie likes to sleep on my chest, his 14lb body stretched from shoulder to shoulder, his face tucked in the bend of my elbow. The only part I don't like is that he usually walks on & off my chest several times before settling down. Otherwise, it's very soothing.
My cat started sleeping at my feet first and worked his way up closer to my face over time. He liked to curl up in the crook of my neck and go to sleep. His purr was like having the noise of a fan on to help you sleep. I miss him so much.
They love you.feel safe.
So incredibly precious!❤
My cat likes sleeping in the crook of my knees too!
My cats sleep with me, and they each have their favorite spot. I love to have them with me!!
