No truer words have I ever read. BTW - My reading isn't lacking, my view of cats is just astronomically higher than almost anything else ... except steaming hot baths, massages by trained masseurs, and exceptional food. 🫠😊😻 he he he 😹
Cats also love to have their eyes rubbed but you have to do it very gently not to press on the eyeball too hard. It will take a while for them to get used to it and learn to love it
Anyone have a cat that taps your arm with their paw to get your attention? The first time this happened years ago I was home alone, napping in my recliner when I felt a tap tap tap on my arm near my shoulder. I nearly had a heart attack, thinking it was an intruder. My cat was standing on his hind legs and he was so tall. It was winter & he was letting me know my more feral cat was on windowsill outside & wanted in. The cat I have now does this, but sitting on the arm of the chair staring right into my face at eye level, or she does it to get me to make room for her when Im in bed so she can snuggle in the crook of my arm. They're all so special aren't they.
My kitty does this precisely at 5am its time for breakfast 😂. He hops in my bed puts his arm under the covers and taps my shoulders ❤. Of course I comply 😂❤
None of my 3 are snugglers. They were all strays and they have seen the worst the world has to offer. They will never fully trust. But they love me and I love them more than I can say.
Most of my cats come when they're called...ive heard people complain that they can't get their cats to respond to their call...you've missed something along the way in behaviors unless you have acquired a ferel cat that's been out on their own too long. I've had cats that would walk along with me and the dog, offlead.
The cat my old neighbors left when they moved is super friendly, talkative, alwsys has the candy cane/question mark tail, always rubbing on my legs.. Acts as a bodyguard to us when we go for a walk. Slow blinks all day .. Will not face nudge me though... Which is ok by me but..... Also if you want a really loving,loyal,cuddle/petting , sleeping next to you cat, may I suggest adopting a young orange male... They are awesome. Have had orange/ginger cats since I was a young teenager.... So 30+ years ago lol... Black cats are awesome too... Oh and a Siamese tabby mix. We had one for a few years that came to us hungry, dirty, beat up, but so friendly and handsome, blue, slightly crossed eyes... That cat was so appreciative of us. Always sitting on your feet,.standing / sitting in-between your legs... Miss him dearly.. Aug 19 of last year he left us never to physically return...
@@CarsCatAliens My feral girl has been slow to learn to cat. She's just started purring after 2 years and this morning she face nudged me for the 1st time. So don't give up!
I get a nose touch from little Yuki each morning. She responds to "morning kiss ? " by putting out her nose . She's also very vocal and really wants extensive belly rubs every day.. I get the head bunts too... I consider myself really fortunate.
A stray tabby appeared in a group of feral cats I've been feeding. They always run around like mad trying to get away from me. But tabby sat quietly and just stared at me with his big green eyes. After a month of this he walked in the door and refused to leave. He's my cat now because he insists on staying. He's an adult and friendly. But still fidgety and skittish. Getting better though.
Yes I swear I don’t think I’ve ever got to go out and choose a kitten or a cat that I want lol nope every cat or kitten I’ve ever had has I ended up with usually cuz they are gonna e taken to the shelter and that just scares me, altho a lot of the animals do get adopted at the shelters ppl have to come in there, they don’t advertise and you can’t even call them and get much info either so it’s like hush hush what kind of cars or even if they have kittens and I don’t like that, anyway so all my cats have ended up with me cuz I hear thru someone that a cat or a kitten is gonna be taken to the shelter and I jump and go get it lol and it becomes my cat!! But one day I will go in a shelter and pick all the cats I choose lol I can dream…. I’d pick ‘em all my hubby says and he’s probably right cuz I couldn’t say no to any of them I care to much!!!
@@sassysandra245 I went to a shelter once and got a beautiful white male for my mom. They also had a lovely tortie girl but I only had enough money for one. Thought about the girl for 3 days. I borrowed the money and went back for her. Glad I did, she was one of the most loving cats Ive ever had. Money shouldn't stand in the was of saving their lives. Good luck with your shelter dream. You are a good cat mom. 😸
Amen❣ My little Minnie watches me intently as I clean the litter boxes. We had 3 grown males, 6-yo brothers, when we found her in my neighbor's garage wall. I tell her to learn well-- those boys probably won't ever do the cleaning!! She's so precious.. she gives them a rub and they give her a hiss. She seems to feel they'll come around.🙄 I really hope they do.♥️✌🐱🙄🙄😘
I've had 3 cats. The last two wouldn't follow their mom who bore them under my parents shed ten years ago and I adopted them at about 5 weeks during a heatwave; unfortunately the boy passed two years ago; his sister is still with me. She was the one that I knew would be okay without the other, she was the alpha cat. I had a cat before them for almost 16 years; he was from a litter of 4 undersized kittens who lost their mom. He was about 7 months old when I got him according to the vet. They traveled as a pack until a friend took them in. We called ours " Ginger the Sacramental Cat" because he knew exactly where to lay on you when you had pain or sickness, knew how door knobs worked, etc. He lived about 18 years. Once I found him sitting next to the stereo swaying to bellydancing music with his eyes closed! He was a still a cat, but was a real character, and he liked to sleep and nap on my bed. He was very protective. I think of him often.
I saw a news segment once that reported on study findings showing that hungry cats that have also been away from their human for a while will often (usually) prefer companionship with their human over food. Dogs get all the credit as human's best friend, but as much as I love dogs, I will take the companionship of a cat over a dog any day. I am definitely a cat person.
I am over 60 and have owned multiple cats my entire life. This video is right on the money! I get so tired of people telling me that cats don't show affection. That isn't further from the truth to someone who knows cats.
@@kathymc234 I have a cat that is deathly afraid of dogs (but perfectly fine with my horse!) which is why I've never added a dog to my menagerie. Many people were going "She'll get used to it" but I really don't want to traumatize her, so no dog.
My feral cat is so affectionate and loving. He's like a dog with only a dog's good qualities. He comes when I call him, licks me a lot and loves cheek kisses.
When I was seriously injured and sofa-bound (on my back and propped up against pillows) for several months with multiple fractures, my 7 cats situated themselves around me during the night: one on my pillow at the top of my head, one on my upper chest or on my left shoulder, one on either side of my abdomen, one on either side of my legs, and one draped over my feet. Each cat assumed the same spot. They seemed to know exactly where I was injured, for they would carefully avoid those areas when they were moving over and around me. If anyone came too close with anything other than food or drink, one or more would growl. They took great care of me. Thankfully, they never brought me anything they killed, but a few times I did awaken find some cat food on the blankets. 🙂
My 5 cats do that same ritual every night. They all have their certain spot sitting around me on the couch and the littlest crawls in my lap. A bunch of momma’s boys 😹😹😹😹😹
I've always loved fur babies and know that their feelings are as real as ours. I'm grateful for all their love snuggles and protection! Thanks for this lovely confirmation video!❤
Thank you, thank you! Finally, somebody that really understands cats, not just somebody that THINKS they do! I've lived with cats since I was born, for more years than most of you can count & find the internet filled with so-called "cat experts" that don't know a whisker from a paw. Your channel is refreshingly knowledgable! Thank you again for sharing with those who really love cats.
These millennials who think they can train cats and dogs don't no sh** from shinola about animal behaviors and they're lending their services to rescue organizations, so beware...they are the most ignorant I've seen yet and most of them don't even know breeds or breed traits. I've worked with and owned Dobermans since the early 70s, and one rescue snowflake tried to pass off a mixed breed shepherd as a purebred Doberman. When i told her the dog was most certainly not a Doberman, she became haughty and defensive. I guess i should have told her it was a poodle. There is nothing worse than a knowitall child. Rescue organizations do a wonderful job just beware of the one's using their dogs as bait for donations. The aspca is one of those. Look up the salary of the head ceo. 400k a year...last i heard.
I bet that was a lot of love but it must have been a lot of heartache for you❤ I'm 30 years younger than you and think of all the times my heart hurt so bad everytime one got old, seemingly way to fast and left this world.
@@WingsOfAzazel I'm 51 ,me and the wife had like 5 cats at our first house around 1998. The last one left us right around January 2020, and it took until early 22 before we even thought about getting another cat. That was a rough patch.
#16: I had shoulder surgery a few years ago. When I came home from the surgery and sat in my chair, my black and white boy, Oreo, went right up onto my chest so that the vibrations from his purr were right against my surgical shoulder. It felt so good. He has a very strong purr. Now I call him Doctor Oreo. He also does the other love behaviors in this video. He is a sweet boy. My other cat, Bella, is a beautiful Siamese Lynx Point. She does some of the love behaviors in the video. It is amazing to me to see how different these two cats are. I love them both very much, and I know they both love me, but they show it in very different ways.
I just wish it hadn't taken me so long, 60 years to learn what i now know about all domestic animals, including horses. They are truly God's gift to us.
When my dad was really sick (cancer) a few days before he went to the hospital, his cat was laying with him the entire time.. If you reached over to fix the blankets, he would attack....Was totally guarding and protecting his buddy... Also, one of my cats used to wake me when my sugars would drop while sleeping.. Have type 1 diabetes and my sugars go so low at times, (I don't always feel them, or catch it in time) that I end up having a seizure., He would stand on my chest , and nuzzle my face... He always slept next to.. Usually would curl up near my armpit and chest. I'd hold and rub his paw through the night....I miss him dearly
A friend of mine was diagnosed with cancer. My cat (Sphynx) is extremely jealous over me and won't go to other people -- but when my friend came to visit, Pixie burrowed herself against her body, purring very hard, and stayed there. She knew and wanted to make her better. I did tell my friend "You're very privileged, you know? She's being nursey, and normally only does that with me."
@@SilkeJuppenlatz I am constantly amazed time and time again... Animals really are super perspective of emotions, feelings and mainly ones aurora. @@lesliegums5119 I agree with you wholeheartedly. I didn't get my first pet (Dr. Oreo, who I wrote about above) until I was 60 years old. My dad was allergic to fur and feathers, so we didn't have pets growing up. My wife, who cared greatly for people, wasn't an animal lover. After she passed away in 2014, one of my sons gave Oreo to me. Not long after that, another one of my sons gave Bella to me.
I’m sitting in an ASPCA Cat cafe and I’ve been told the cats with a blue collar are shy. Suddenly I realize that my leg is being licked by a black cat with a blue collar. I pick him up and he melts in my arms. Fast forward 6 years, I’m getting physical therapy at home. He’s at my side for every session. Luckily the therapist finds it funny.
This is the best info on cat love. I adopted/rescued a bonded pair 7 mos ago. I haven't touched one of them yet. From this video, I am encouraged by the subtle things she does. The other I made friends with quickly, after 5-6 weeks. He's not touch affectionate, now I see his feelings better. ❤ TY
Another great pet is a ferret. Fuuuny little buggers and they will steal your stuff and take it to they're favorite place. I caught mine stealing my slippers from the downstairs bedroom and dragging it up and to the back bedroom under the bed where i found about 10 slippers. When i tried to retrieve my slippers the tugowar was on. I've had animals in my life almost all of my 71 years....can't imagine life without them.
If you feel like a cat doesn’t love you, it’s because you aren’t trying to speak their language. A cat can be the sweetest, full of fun chatter and play, and the best cuddler (not by force), if you give them the space and time when you first get them. Respect the tiny tiger and they will never leave you alone. It’s a blessing. I have a boy and girl at this moment and they are different but both amazing in their own way. I never sleep or go to the bathroom alone.
Oboy Oboy does my cat LO❤E ME!! From the moment I found her on my walking trail she came right over and began rubbing and weaving around my legs. When I took her home she started licking and head bumping me. Now she does everything on list except stand on her hind legs to open doors and cabinets, thank goodness. She has even curled her paw around my finger the way a little baby would. She's my little cuddly cutie! 😻
I found a few week old kitten on a highway median trying to crawl down between the split in the concrete, onbrn overpass. Someone threw her out of their vehicle because one side of her little face was smashed. I scooped her up and as soon as i put her on the car seat she curled up and went to sleep. She became completely devoted to me..i named her Lucky and i had her for at least 15 years. She passed to old age and kidney failure.
My long-haired ginger Rufus Tuftypaws used to love me brushing his tummy fur and if I stopped too soon he'd look around at me as if to. say "Hey, don't stop!"
My husband and I had to make this tuff decision on 08/23/2024 with our cat ebony she was battling cancer and lung disease for two years and a half and she was a warrior. But she got weak these past few days before passing. And we had to get counseling and advice before making the decision and Lord knows I'm still crying ebony was my everything. She was 61 years old. Tomorrow is a rainbow bridge remembering all the pets that have passed away. So to all here that have suffered the loss of their fur baby commemorate them not only tomorrow but always. They are our family too. God bless.
I'm 77 and have ALWAYS had a cat or dog. I wish I could say it gets easier to lose one, but it doesn't. You just have to keep reminding yourself of all the years of joy they gave you. And then go and rescue another one, asap.
One of my cats died last year she was tiny she had leukemia 😢I couldn’t stop crying she died in my husbands arms who is also dying of lung cancer 😢😢😢😢😢😢 we have another cat now and she always stays near my husband especially after chemotherapy she won’t move from his side …….. ❤❤❤❤❤❤I love animals so much .
Cats are amazing. I had all females. They all had very distinct personalities. They had their favorite human. Ione loved to be brushed all the time. They were the best part of my life and my son grew up with cats and dogs. Every house should have a pet. They make your home so much fun. You don't need a TV. They will keep you entertained all day and night. God bless them all.
I also had a cat that slept right beside my face and he would play a game. Hed put a paw on top of my hand, I would slide mine out from under his and lay mine on top of his, hed pull his out and put it on top of mine. This went on until one of us fell asleep.
My 1 dog a mini Pomeranian and a very large chow/ Rockwieler mix used to vie for places to sleep with me. My large dog slept across the pillows with his nose in my hair, Renee 7.5 lb Pomeranian slept under my left arm. My black Bombay cat slept by my left hip, my large gray cat slept on my right arm and the youngest cat slept between my lower legs I had problems going to sleep so I didn’t mind. I would alternate my petting until they were satisfied. In about an hour they were are satisfied and fell asleep as well as myself. It comforted them and was my medicine for my insomnia. We were all content ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love the love bites in the middle of the night. We just got home from a trip and I have woken up to this a few times. I’m not mad, after all couple bites he falls over and sleeps by me.
Best video on cat children! We have 5 cat ladies in the house. All get regular ‘scritchies’ and luhuuuv!! They once were feral kittens that we had spayed. Sweet girls!!!
I had a bad accident and was bed ridden for 2 weeks. Wallace, my flame point, stayed by my side in bed. He looks like a cat but has the personality of a dog, so faithful and loyal. I thought about telling him he's a cat but I don't want to mess him up psychologically 🤔😸
I have a very vocal, VERY jealous Sphynx. I'm hers, and that's final. Her favorite way to sleep is to wrap her arms around my neck and squish her head under my chin. She had to have a tumor removed, and an eye operation in spring, and had to stay at the vet overnight. When I picked her up the next day, she crawled out of the cage straight into my arms, mewling, and clinging to me as tightly as she could. The vet stood there and went "I have NEVER seen a cat do this. You two have one hell of a bond." (He also told me he loves sphynxes, because they are just sooo person oriented and he's never had a problem handling one.) She did wrap him around her little paw, for sure. He made sure the heating was turned up for her, with the words "If I can't walk around naked in here, then it's uncomfortable for her." and, according to the vet nurse, later returned to the surgery with a little fleece for her, so she'd definitely be warm (I did leave one there for her, but it was in her basket and he hadn't spotted it, so he made sure she had one. It belonged to his kid lol.) She's all better now, but for nearly a week it was "Carry me, I'm weak" and just like she doesn't move from my side when I'm sick... I did the same with her.
I loved listening to all of these. Have fed and rescued many ferals down through the years and it is very rewarding. But no one knows everything about animals so its so nice to listen to these lovely little explanations.❤
When I moved a few months ago, my cat would 'guard' the bathroom at times. I don't always shut the door all the way. One evening shortly after moving, Sebastian was sitting just outside of the bathroom with his back to the door. Upon leaving the room I asked him if he was my guardian. He looked over his shoulder at me and meowed. Whenever I turn on the water to take a shower he has to trot in and put his front feet on the edge of the tub. He looks around and walks off when he's satisfied.
My neighboors cat did that. He also slept with me on the bed on the side next to me or on me. I took care if him when owners were in US for vacation. He was such a sweet, calm and cosy cat. He loved me and wanted to live with me but sadly he had to return to the owner when they came home. It was heartbraking when he scrats on the door and maow wanting to get in. And couldn't understand why I didn't let him in. He must have thought I abandon him. But he did got caring love, even If it was short. In his heart I was his. But not by law. It really is true that animals choose you before you choose them.❤
I knew that my 2 black former feral girls, Raven and Shadow loved me, but now I know HOW MUCH. They do almost all of the things shown in the video. 🥰💕 And THEY are the ones that adopted ME. 😄💞
I have a black former feral girl too. Took a year to let me touch her. Terrified of everything especially people. Been 2 years and she has turned into a wonderful companion. But she is still learning how to cat. Every
I have 2 girls; Abby turned 10 yesterday and Precious turned 8 in May. They are complete opposites. They just tolerate each other most times, but they've been sleeping on my bed during the day, albeit at different ends of the bed. It makes me sad that they don't groom each other or ever get too close without Abby hissing. However this video has shown me that they both love me in their own ways. Between the two of them I get 19 out of 20 signs! Neither get under my feet or around my legs, which is for the best as I have mobility issues and would quite likely end up on the floor! I MUST have a fur baby in my life. They are far more important to me than people.
My cat brings me her favorite toy in her mouth all the way across the house every day. She meows all along and drops the toy at my feet and lays down next to it. Love. Thank you Reesecup.
My cat smells my fingers one by one when I am giving her her daily massage. She will stop and look me in the eye for a few seconds then turn to smell my fingers one by one. It’s the cutest thing ever.
Our cat was about 17 when he died. He used to jump up on your lap and settle himself. It was always inevitable however, that he would start crawling his front paws up your tummy & chest. His favourite position to snooze, was with his paws stretched up so he had one on each of your shoulders, and his face only inches from yours. The purring would ratchet up so loud and he'd start drooling-all over your clothes. His facial expression was always sheer bliss, so it felt mean but the drooling just got too much-youd be soaked so youd have to put him in his bed instead. Our cat did have a girlfriend next door. Theyd call round and wait at each others back windows. Yes, they did boop noses whenever they saw each other. It was v cute. Lastly, our cat used to look up from his favourite chair each morning, when you came down for breakfast, and meow-as though saying hello. He did that to each person-immediately curling back up again. It was such a normal thing that if he forgot, you felt a bit miffed! However, all it took was for you to go stand by him and say hello, for him to then look up and meow. As though 'oh yeh-sorry, forgot!'.
My new kitten Fenris is only 5 and half months old and he does... pretty much every single one of these. With the added... bonus, of him cuddled up to me and sucking on his paw and purring, very loudly. To anyone that says cats aren't loyal are just flat out wrong!
I used marble looking contact paper on my cat litter plastic bucket to reuse it as a storage for cat litter scoops. It looks nicer than dirty scoops in a old litter bucket.
You mean I'm supposed to have more than one scoop? I do have two separate litter boxes for one cat just to have an extra one for him when changing the litter. But I like your idea very creative❤❤❤
Where I live, a city bylaw requires animal waste be double-bagged in plastic garbage bags, which I use to line an approximately 2-gallon plastic pail with a matching lid. ‘Kitchen Catcher’ size works perfectly.
Both my cats enjoy tummy rubs, especially my black cat Gypsy. She encourages me to spend a lot of time petting her belly and will even purr loudly before falling asleep while I stroke her tummy. No, when either cat offers their bellies, it is NOT a trap. My boy cat Rumer aka Rum Rum usually sleeps on the bed at my feet. But Gypsy usually wants to be physically touching me when she is sleeping at night (often in the daytime when I am home. Both are ESA, but my Gypsy is especially attuned to my mood and is very affectionate. Rumer is also an affectionate cat.
My boy doesn’t either. I had a female cat before and the difference in behaviors are noticeable. They have different personalities and different ways to share their love. Please don’t feel bad as I’m sure he loves you very much.
I have a boy and a girl whose mom couldn't feed them. The girl was cut from my neighbor's garage wall by my son after crying for three days (we had to get permission and find her). After we took her home I saw the mom bring him and put him in a bed on my patio! She was a sweetheart feral that only let me touch her tail! She'd walk near me with her tail straight in the air and I'd take hold gently and let it run through my hand. I loved her very much and I'm keeping her kids. The boy makes biscuits on my chest and arms, sucks on my shirt and we trill at each other. I had NEVER heard a cat do that until he came to live with me. I heard it's a special noise the mom calls and instructs them with. The little girl is my angel. She is more feral than he, but very affectionate❣ I think we'll be fine.♥️🐱🥰
My little boy touches my face with his paw.. I say kisses and he bunts my face, what would this mean? Apart from keeping him out of my bathroom I have no problem with his behaviour. He is a true gift in my opinion
I've been a cat sister and then a cat mom most of my life. I thought I knew it all but I am pleased to say I learned some stuff about my best buddy today. Great video!!!
I’m 81 years old, am an animal lover, and have had both dogs and cats as pets all my life. In December, 2014, I had just had to have my beloved 15-year-old cat, Woody, euthanized because of his horrific cancer, and I was so sad, but my granddaughter then told me about two kittens that she had just found underneath her father’s (my son’s) deck. It was winter and very cold, and she had put them inside the garage and fed them. So I asked my granddaughter to take those two-what I discovered were 7-month-old, brother and sister-kittens to my vet and get them their shots and bring them to me. For the last decade, Abby and Oliver have provided me with abundant love and laughter that I cannot imagine not having otherwise in my life. They are both so different and both so special. Abby is a cute, overweight, gray and white tuxedo cat who uses her tiny, but quite insistent, meow to follow me around the house constantly trying to convince me she is on the verge of starvation. Her brother, Oliver, an orange tabby, is the love-bug of the two, who curls up beside me wherever I am, wants me to rub his belly and nose bumps me. My previous cat, Woody, was such an intelligent, special companion, and Abby and Oliver just reinforce what Woody had taught me: that cats are just as special and loving as dogs as best friends to us humans.
Another point to be made when you are petting your cat from the head to the tail, you do cause friction between your hand and their skin. It hurts when they get shocked while petting them on their lower back. They will bite you if you don't listen to their tail flickering
I did not know about several of these behaviors! Also, super cool the producers included a cat who sadly, is missing one eye. Nice to see they include a "disabled" feline.
Me and my girl rescued a 7 yr declawed girl, she is my first cat I m 43 she does all these things, follow s me all over our apartment. She is so loving
Miss ALL of my Babies! Just lost my dog, Scrap-elle. Had her for 9 years. She was my emotional support animal. I'm looking for another one. Lost 3 husbands. She was here for all of it. She loved the last one 😢 I'm sure that was part of it. She was over weight, thankx Daddy. Scrap-elle had an enlarged heart, pressing on her lungs. I feel horrible that I couldn't afford her surgery. 😢
I’ve inherited 6 cats. They’ve left their homes and just moved in here. They come from homes in the neighbourhood None of them have left to go back to their original home
My cat controls its tongue roughness. It ranges from totally soft to slightly raspy. It's lovely. Similar to its bite and claw control when contacting my skin. The bite is a way they let you know they are overstimulated. It's the tiny whiskers on their body that max out. Often it's only a snap of the jaw to let me know enough petting at that location.
I get head bunted all the time. And my two get their forehead kiss. They head bunt my face. And at breakfast as a thank you my boy will will head bunt my hand that puts down his dish. He’s also into head bunting my right knee, and it’s a nice change from love bites to that knee. My two mark me every day. And I tell them I love you too.
I only have to tell my eldest that I love her and she slow blinks at me. She is so damn good at language it's freaky! She also loves her tummy rubbed. She has so many trills and calls and noises that she does to communicate what she wants. Then I go a second cat and she stopped 'speaking', the new cat didn't understand her and would attack if she did it. Now she uses eye contact to get my attention, she doesn't do any of the 'cat behaviours' and does act more like a dog. The second cat does all the head bumps and stuff and the kneeding occasions are rare, not a lap catm but they're brutal! They're like chalk and cheese complete opposites in every way. I feel bad for my eldest, I wouldn't have gotten a second cat had I known 😟
I recall an instance when my feline companion exhibited a strong attachment to my mother. However, following a transformative experience that resulted in my recovery, she appeared to sense this change and subsequently made my room her permanent abode. Since that moment, she has remained by my side ever since.
When a cat decides to give you it's love it gives it with all it has.

@@reallyseriously7020 Yeah, but they love you! 🤗 🐈⬛ ❤️ 🤭 🐆 🐾 🐈 ❤ 💫

You have been chosen. !!
That's how most of us get our feline fur babies. ❤❤❤❤❤
Good luck with your new baby

My cat loves to sit and watch me do the dishes. He watches me so intently. I laugh. Hopefully, he will learn and I can pass this chore along. 😅
Yeah same here, my kitty sits in the kitchen doorway ,supervising😁
My cat sits on the dishwasher door while I'm loading it.
Two of our female cats like to watch my wife cook. They know they'll be getting some, too!
Every morning, after filling my kitty's breakfast bowl, she comes for snuggles before she'll eat ❤
It's nice (and rare) to see a man that prefers cats to dogs. You obviously have NO ego issues, and don't need to be adored 24/7. Refreshing. Kudos.
Me too! Prefer kitty’s love 💕

I am over 60 and have owned multiple cats my entire life. This video is right on the money! I get so tired of people telling me that cats don't show affection. That isn't further from the truth to someone who knows cats.
That is usually dog people. I love both, cats and dogs. But I don't have the ability to provide a home for a dog.
@@kathymc234 I have a cat that is deathly afraid of dogs (but perfectly fine with my horse!) which is why I've never added a dog to my menagerie. Many people were going "She'll get used to it" but I really don't want to traumatize her, so no dog.
Only some cats are affectionate
My feral cat is so affectionate and loving. He's like a dog with only a dog's good qualities. He comes when I call him, licks me a lot and loves cheek kisses.
Cats are very expressive. You just learn their body language. They also 'talk' to each other
When I was seriously injured and sofa-bound (on my back and propped up against pillows) for several months with multiple fractures, my 7 cats situated themselves around me during the night: one on my pillow at the top of my head, one on my upper chest or on my left shoulder, one on either side of my abdomen, one on either side of my legs, and one draped over my feet.
That brings tears to my eyes.
You are a fantastic cat person!
This sounds like heaven! 😻
My 5 cats do that same ritual every night. They all have their certain spot sitting around me on the couch and the littlest crawls in my lap. A bunch of momma’s boys 😹😹😹😹😹
That had me tearing up. I can imagine that their attention helped your healing. Their purr is a frequency for healing. What amazing animals!
I am so grateful for the cats I have had in my life. ❤

I'm 51 ,me and the wife had like 5 cats at our first house around 1998.
The last one left us right around January 2020, and it took until early 22 before we even thought about getting another cat.
That was a rough patch.
I have been loving cats and dogs for 60 years. Thx for the comment 😊😊.

Cats are the best pets! 😎
Actually as soon as any animal passes through the door of my house they're not a pet, they are a member of the family 😉❤️😺🐱🐶🐍🐷🐮🐰
Well this made me feel a lot better after the 14 Signs Your Cat Doesn't Love You video made me all paranoid 😂❤

My cat does a nose boop so many times a day
Everytime I'm affraid she would hurt herself when she jumps on my desk and just walk with her head straight into mine. You could hear the impact 😂
I also had a cat that slept right beside my face and he would play a game. Hed put a paw on top of my hand, I would slide mine out from under his and lay mine on top of his, hed pull his out and put it on top of mine. This went on until one of us fell asleep.

Thank you for these wonderful tips!
You two have one hell of a bond." (He also told me he loves sphynxes, because they are just sooo person oriented and he's never had a problem handling one.)
She did wrap him around her little paw, for sure. It belonged to his kid lol.)
She's all better now, but for nearly a week it was "Carry me, I'm weak" and just like she doesn't move from my side when I'm sick... I did the same with her.
I loved listening to all of these. Have fed and rescued many ferals down through the years and it is very rewarding.
But no one knows everything about animals so its so nice to listen to these lovely little explanations.❤

I know Shadow loves me by the way She acts!
I read they follow you to the bathroom because they are watching over you for you not to be attacked while at your most vulnerable
My cat accidentally got locked inside one night and pooed just outside the toilet door then right next to the toilet !

So sweet

Amazing video..this actually makes sense with feral cats too❤
My sweet boy has never made biscuits in his precious life ..I think he was taken from his mommy very young or rejected .. which breaks my heart
She is more feral than he, but very affectionate❣
I think we'll be fine.♥️🐱🥰
My little boy touches my face with his paw.. I say kisses and he bunts my face, what would this mean? Apart from keeping him out of my bathroom I have no problem with his behaviour. He is a true gift in my opinion
I've been a cat sister and then a cat mom most of my life. I thought I knew it all but I am pleased to say I learned some stuff about my best buddy today. Great video!!!
This is fairly accurate and delightfully narrated
All 25 ! Love him 🐈⬛.Dogs don't 😂

Awwwwww
I already knew about the look in eyes and blink is I love you...I always do it in return and showing tummy....
Another point to be made when you are petting your cat from the head to the tail, you do cause friction between your hand and their skin. It hurts when they get shocked while petting them on their lower back. They will bite you if you don't listen to their tail flickering
I've loved cats since day one
Thank you
I did not know about several of these behaviors!
My cat started loving on and cuddling me more often while I was sick
My cat can go outside but prefers to be around the house if im inside. He's like a roaming sattelite and I'm the star
I love my kitty ❤ he would go to the bed in the morning and try to catch my feet everytime I move 😂😅 it's super cute ❤
I’ve inherited 6 cats. They’ve left their homes and just moved in here. They come from homes in the neighbourhood None of them have left to go back to their original home
This video made me laugh! I figured a lot of this out on my own through life, but it’s nice confirmation!
Still… ❤ August 2024! ❤ Thank you. 🕊️
My cat used to stare at my mouth and tap it (punch) with his paw until i woke up 😂
My cat bunts me every morning 🐱☺️❤️🇦🇺
Were the kitty yawns contagious to y'all 😅😅😅😅😅
My cat controls its tongue roughness.
One time I was very sick with flu, my sashimi stayed with me all night even though I was tossing and turning
My cat has her whiskers forward all time
I get head bunted all the time.
My cats totally love me.
My two are kneaders. My boy is very heavy pawed.
