    BlackHawk Paramotors USA Inc introduces a one-of-a-kind flying experience. The NEW BlackHawk Revolver 320 Paramotor is a product utilizing the latest technology the world of Powered Paragliding has to offer. This ultra-powerful 44hp motor is the first to incorporate Water-Cooling and Power-Valve Technology in such a large motor. The Revolver produces an unmatched 280 lbs (127 kg) of thrust. For years, the BlackHawk HellCat 360 Paramotor was an industry phenomenon and tough to contend with... Until now!
    The BlackHawk Revolver brings Powered Paragliding to EVERYONE! In the past, the industry struggled with the "power-to-weight" ratios available in most 2-stroke engines. This meant that larger pilots interested in Quad or Trike Flight, or those who live in high elevation areas might not be able to participate in the sport. This also limited the possibility of tandem flight, or those who want to carry an additional payload. There are only a small number of regulations in this sport set by the FAA and the maximum total weight of a Paramotor is one of them. If a Paramotor exceeds a certain weight, it becomes a "Powered Parachute," which requires a pilot's license. The BlackHawk Revolver is a game-changer for the Powered Paragliding Industry and a shining example of BlackHawk's commitment to being on the forefront of technology.
    BlackHawk Revolver Package Deal comes loaded with extras! In addition to INCLUDING a Velocity Edge Paraglider and the LowBoy II Paramotor Quad, the Revolver comes with several "goodies" not offered in other Quad Paramotor Package Deals: You get a beautiful 3-blade Carbon Fiber Prop for additional thrust in high-elevation areas, Dual Fuel Tanks to maximize flight time, A-Assists & Line-Guides for effortless launching, and digital gauges (Cylinder-Head Temperature Gauge, RPM gauge & Tachometer). The Revolver also comes standard with Electric Start for ease of operation. This feature includes a LiPo Battery & Thunder AC6 Battery Charger (works with standard 110 AC or 12v DC for vehicle charging!) You get all this, and the industry's most advanced Paramotor for the same low price you would expect from our #1 selling Paramotor Package Deals! If you want the finest-performing Wheeled Powered Paraglider in the industry, you want the NEW 2015 Revolver 320 Paramotor!
    This engine recommended for all pilots who weigh under 700lbs.
    *NOTE: (Due to popularity, if we are out of stock on the 3-blade prop when you order, we will include a discounted wooden prop as a substitution. Of course we will promptly ship the Carbon Fiber Prop for FREE once our stock is replenished)

    HOW QUIET IS THE MOTOR... (From the guy who edited this video) - I know we've had several people comment about the music and not being able to hear the sound of the motor. We really appreciate any feedback that makes our videos better! Just to clarify, this video was filmed almost 4 years ago before we had the camera or microphone equipment we do now. We were using the internal microphone the camera came with at the time. Also, without a true decibel meter, a video won't be able to properly display noise. This was an impromptu-filmed product video on the morning we filmed this and mentioning "how quiet it is" was incidental & not specifically planned for this video. This was not some kind of "Paramotor conspiracy" where we were trying to "hide" the sound of the engine (which some comments stated). The engine sound was not "edited to sound more quiet." That is quite ridiculous and goes against every aspect of our Company philosophy. If we made a claim that a motor was quieter without it being true, we would be inviting many complaints and problems from customers, so why would anyone do that?
    I've worked for the company for many years now and have evolved a lot as a video editor thanks to all the great feedback. Just keep it constructive ok? I'm really doing the best I can to promote this amazing life-changing experience. We're all here to enjoy this sport and not crap on each other (which has sadly become a standard among Dealers/Pilots in this sport). BlackHawk refuses to participate in throwing rocks at others and hope to lead by example. We don't care what brand Paramotor you have as long as you love flying. It's all about the flying - nothing more and nothing less. I've added much less music into the videos due to viewer feedback (thank you for that!). The Revolver Paramotor is one of our older models now - replaced by the INTRUDER 250 EFI 4-Stroke. If you have any questions about our products, we're always here to help.

      @@EliteGeeks Welcome to our channel and the sport! We actually have motors that can handle around a 700 lb payload (4 strokes that people often use for Tandem flight). When you have some time, reach out to our office and let them know your age, height, weight, and the elevation where you live. We can put together some recommendations to help with researching your options =)

      YES Scott! You can fly and realize your dream of being a Pilot! We have an amazing video that follows the training adventure of a Paraplegic man named Russel who trained with us. He was paralyzed in a motorcycle accident from the chest down. He is a fantastic Pilot and amazing human being. Check that out if you haven't seen it. We also offer FREE modifications for those with disabilities to help them fly. When you have time, give our office a call so we can answer your questions and get you in contact with the closest Training Center. Seeing one in person is soooo much better. I second the motion for leaving the Audio in. The video mentions "Quiet" several times which is what everyone wants . . then all the flying portions have the sound cut out and replaced with music. You are correct that Audio volume levels are hard to compare, but with the Pilot speaking just before takeoff - it is easy to tell how loud the machine is by comparing his voice to the machine.

    • @blackhawkparamotor
      @blackhawkparamotor  8 років тому +5

      +CaseModVideos We've had enough people mention this, so we've made a video that shows how "quiet" it is. The video will be uploaded in the next week or two. It will be a video on installing a Reserve Parachute on a Quad. We used a Revolver as the example machine and took advantage of showing the motor noise with people talking. Keep an eye out for this video. =)

      Hi Timothy. It took me personally several years to save up for my first Paramotor when I first discovered it on UA-cam. It was tough and I made a LOT of sacrifices to get the motor, but it has changed my life in so many ways... Even provided me with a career. It may take time to get your wings, but please don't ever give up on your dream of flying. We put together an article a while back that talks about creative ways to pay for a Paramotor. Below is the link. I hope it helps a little and gives you some ideas to work with =)

    How stable is this unit if suddenly a hefty wind became an issue? Would it be scary landing in such a condition?
    My last question? I understand low and slow, however? If a person was flying to a destination what sort of speed would we be talking about?
    Man! It's 0200hrs and I am still up researching Blackhawk! Just looks exciting to me! And yes! I too have always wanted to fly for fun and adventure.
    Cheers! Gary

    • @blackhawkparamotor
      @blackhawkparamotor  8 років тому +1

      +Gary Bowen Thanks for the great questions Gary! You would be amazed how forgiving the Paragliders are. For those of us who fly inland (where winds aren't as consistent as the coast), we try to fly earlier or later in the day when the winds calm down some. If the winds pick up, we just land and do what we call "Para-waiting" lol.
      The average speed is around 18-25 mph for our beginner gliders. With simple speed-bar systems, you can increase that by a good 10 mph. Smaller or more advanced gliders can fly much faster, however, the risk factor goes up dramatically with undersized or advanced gliders.
      There is a LOT of information out there to research. I remember when I first discovered the sport... I don't think I slept that night ;)
      If you can, give our office a call. We can answer all your questions and get you in contact with the closest Dealer to you. Hope you have a great week!

    I'm interested in this... How fast does it go compared to other powered-paragliding equipment without the chair, etc.. under it? What is the range compared to others? From what I've seen, most standard non-vehicle based ppg equipment has a range of 80 miles, sometimes up to 160 with reserve and speeds of 40 knots with a good tail-wind. How long is the take-off distance? Standard equipment can lift you within 1 to 20 or so paces depending on a good head-wind to none, or more...
    How much does the vehicle weigh?
    Personally, I'd prefer a longer range with high-powered light-weight engine without requiring a ton of maintenance ie every 20 to 25 hours... Is this 2 stroke or 4 stroke?
    I have been interested in this for a long time, but I have a broken neck, back and severe nerve damage from a car accident in 2011 where someone ran a stop sign and hit me; so the seated version may be all I'll be able to use.

    All that cage and you still have to tie up your hands to control the canopy. Run those lines to the front foot controls

    • @blackhawkparamotor
      @blackhawkparamotor  5 років тому

      It's so important to "feel" what the glider is doing. If foot-controls were a good option, all Manufacturers would sell them. We use "speed bars" with foot-control, but not the main controls. There are also times where you need to pull on a specific set of lines which couldn't be done by foot. Hope that helps and we're always here if you have any questions about this amazing sport =)

    Just a quick question, I might pick one up.
    In the event of a motor failure, will you decently normally like a trike-less chute or will you plop down faster with a trike? Thanks!

    • @blackhawkparamotor
      @blackhawkparamotor  8 років тому +2

      Excellent question! For Pilots who primarily fly with added weight from a platform (Quad or Trike), they will get a glider that is one size larger. Think about this... There are chutes so big that they can bring a TANK down slowly! It really comes down to physics... If you have a larger load (from Pilot weight or machine weight), you just need a larger chute to accommodate it. With the right gear, you will always glide down at the right speed.
      OUR TRIKE WEIGHS ONLY +-30 lbs! That's not very much to add to a motor. If you are into Trikes, give us a call so we can dial you in on the correct glider size for your personal needs. We're always here to help provide good info =)

      Thanks so much for taking the time to comment and for connecting with us Sam! Welcome to the sport of Powered Paragliding! The AVERAGE age customer who buys from us is 55 years old and around 225 lbs... We have Pilots in their 70's and older who are flying all the time! This isn't a "young man's sport" - that's for sure. We have many options, from units that go on your back, to Quads and Trikes that are easier to fly than driving a stick shift car! When you have a moment, give our office a call... We can answer any questions you have and put together a customized price quote for equipment that suits your needs. This will help with researching the sport. Hope to hear back from you =)

      I took up PPG last year when I was 61 yrs old and totally love it. I'm in average shape, and got into it because I love flying in planes so why not go flying myself? It's not that difficult to learn, however, it is important to get a good, experienced instructor. It's worth every penny to learn properly and be sure to follow your instructors advice. I foot launched last year and found that it was bugging my Rt knee which has had problems for years, so this year I invested in a trike and won't go back to foot launch now unless the terrain is incompatible for trikes. Flying PPG is a remarkable experience and many friends and family members who watch me say they would love to do it. The problem, they won't commit. Just do it! You'll be glad you did.

    Wait... so the motor has a carb? Wouldn't going up to 10,000+ feet change the air fuel ratio? Does the thing just run richer and richer as you elevate?

    • @blackhawkparamotor
      @blackhawkparamotor  5 років тому

      Hi Nate! It's pretty rare for Pilots to fly up that high. The legal limit is actually 18k feet! You would need oxygen at that altitude. People have done it but it puts a LOT of strain on the motor climbing for that long. Pilots absolutely do have to make adjustments to their carb if flying at altitude... Even customers who live in places like Colorado will have to make sure the adjustment is just right. Our Instructors will go over all of that with students. Welcome to the sport and we're always here if you have any questions =)

    Blackhawk, what are some of the pros and cons of this style of flying vs the other style where you have the motor strapped to your back?

    • @blackhawkparamotor
      @blackhawkparamotor  7 років тому

      That's a GREAT question... It really comes down to physical ability and then persona preference. I learned to fly a backpack unit first, and then switched to Quad because of the comfort of sitting down, and because of my back. Both are amazing ways of flying. Backpack units are a little cheaper and can be transported easier. Quads take less time to learn to fly and are easier to launch. When you have time, give our office a call. Thanks for the comment. We actually sell a very large number of Paramotors internationally where there aren't regulations. +Deadmatter The Black Right on! There is nothing else in the world that can give you the same sensation as flying a Powered Paraglider! It's really "life-changing" for lack of a more impactful way to describe it! The cost of gear really depends on your needs. It's such a weight-sensitive sport, so having the proper machine for you personally is the most important. Can you let me know how old you are, how much you weigh, and the elevation where you live? I could point you in the right direction with just that info. Feel free to message back here, or better yet, give us a call so we can talk about this sport... Thanks for the comment Irvin... Let me help you understand more about our sport. This sport depends on people's weight, elevation, age, physical ability, what they plan on doing with the motor, etc. Without having this information, I can't give someone a price that may be higher or lower than what they are quoted later. The best thing people can do is talk with one of our staff, or visit the website to see the exact specs of each motor. If you called a car dealership and said "I want a car - how much will it cost" - would they be able to give an exact number without additional information? I can say they are anywhere from $6995 - $15000, but that won't help someone who is new to this sport. Keep doing your research bud ;)

      There are a lot of dealers in this sport that do the same thing unfortunately so it's good to do your research. The difference here is that most cars can handle any type of driver's body-types and they just typically stay on the road. This is an aircraft we are talking about here, so it's important to make sure people are well informed for COMMON SENSE safety-reasons. There is no comparison here between a car and an aircraft. Two completely different things entirely. Give us a call if you have any more questions. We're always here to help. Good luck bro ;) If you don't like the sport, find something else to do.

      Tama Silverstar Don't worry... That's the misconception many people have about this sport - especially those who haven't flown one. The FAA has called Powered Paragliding (NOT Powered Parachutes) "the safest form of aviation." There are a LOT of different ways to fly in the United States and most require a license for an important reason - REGULATING SAFETY. Ironically, the ways that require a Pilot's License are often the most dangerous. This sport isn't licensed BECAUSE it's safe enough for the Government to not deem it necessary to be licensed. If they were concerned and people were getting killed at an alarming rate, it would be a licensed sport. That being said, you believe that the "no license' part is because it's NOT safe? Hmmmm... Might want to do some more reading ;)
      Hope this helps and thank you for taking the time to send us a comment. Please FLY SAFE, from all of us at Team BlackHawk.

      USNVA Absolutely!! Unfortunately, that exact thing is happening... There is a single pilot in this industry who is working extremely hard to destroy our sacred sport by harassing wildlife, getting arrested, shooting guns from his PPG, etc. He has become an outcast in our community and has been banned from even showing up to Fly-Ins out of concern for other pilot safety. The Government sees us as a whole, so all it takes is one person to ruin it for the rest. Everyone is working hard to remove him from the scene so we can all go back to enjoying the sport in the way it was intended... To be all about the flying. Thanks for the great comments USNVA!

    • @blackhawkparamotor
      @blackhawkparamotor  7 років тому

      Thanks for the question! We have two different types of tires for our Quads... One is lower to the ground, and the other tires are quite tall. If you are flying from a field that has rough terrain, the taller tires are great! We operate on a large Ranch in California where the fields have lots of rocks and uneven terrain. Our Quads do very well in these conditions. The fiberglass axles provide enough "flex" for a smooth ride.

    Nice improvements! Two questions: Any chance for newbies to hitch a demo ride in The Revolver at the April fly-in? Also, what are the chances that your quads will one day be compatible with floats and a system to keep the wing from dropping into the water during water landings? Thanks.

    • @blackhawkparamotor
      @blackhawkparamotor  9 років тому

      fytnfyr As far as a Revolver Tandem, it will depend on the availability of our Flight Instructors and machines. Give us a call when it gets closer to the Fly-In so we can see about accommodating you (209-786-7899). We actually get quite a few people asking us about some kind of water-landing system... Something like that probably won't be available for quite some time. Maybe as technology gets better and cheaper, Powered Paragliding manufacturers will move in that direction. Thanks for watching our videos and commenting!

    Could a sudden downdraft collapse the parachute?

    • @blackhawkparamotor
      @blackhawkparamotor  5 років тому

      Great question and thanks for joining the conversation!
      Yes it could, however, that is extremely rare. Also, the gliders stay so pressurized with the cell-configuration that most people don't even realize they had a collapse until the glider has reinflated. These gliders are very forgiving, so unless someone is flying in conditions that are really nasty / unsafe, it's hard to make these gliders collapse. We also always fly with reserve parachutes... They are like the airbag in a car... We will most likely never use them, but they can save a life if needed. This sport is as safe as it gets when it comes to aviation =)

    I hear that a trike is much better hence that's why even today a plane still is three axles vs. a quad

    • @blackhawkparamotor
      @blackhawkparamotor  7 років тому

      Excellent question Steven! Many people use Trikes or three wheels over Quads to simply save weight. Trikes can often be broken down smaller for transport as well. The great dilemma between the two is "stability vs. performance." A Powered Paraglider or Powered Parachute is prone to the wind pulling the Paraglider side-to-side... Airplanes don't have to worry about lateral stability as much due to their sleek design and nothing "dragging in the wind" (like the glider does). A plane has a lower center of gravity - especially with long wings sticking out... Typically, we recommend Trikes to experienced Pilots or those who are naturally agile, however, a Paramotor Trike (IS) "beginner friendly." There is just more risk of tipping over on a rough takeoff or landing. A Paramotor acts like it is "top heavy" momentarily when it gets some "lift" from the glider - similar to someone's body on an ATV (where Quads are much more stable than 3-wheelers). Both options are good in this sport - it just depends on personal preference and weighing out the pros / cons of each - based on the way YOU will fly. Give us a call when you get the chance. We can ask you a few questions and help determine which option might be best for you personally. We're always here to help! =)

    what happens when you run into wind sheer? Is there a second "chute" to help you to the ground?

    • @blackhawkparamotor
      @blackhawkparamotor  9 років тому

      +rontee24 Great question! Safety is paramount to us, so we ALWAYS recommend pilots fly with a Velocity UltraLite Reserve Chute. It's like the airbag in a car... Hopefully you never use it, but it will save your life if you do. Powered Paragliders are extremely safe and quite forgiving. The sport is really as safe as the pilot makes it. When you take lessons, the Instructors will go over wind conditions, when to fly, and what to do if you find yourself in an unfavorable situation. When you have some extra time, give us a call. We love helping answer questions and point people in the right direction to starting their next great adventure! (209) 786-7899

    I'm interest in this for taking trips of under 500 miles . I have 2 - 300 mile trips I would like to take here in TX one to New Braunsfels TX. and One to Jennings Louisiana . Whats the top speed and amount of fuel for a trip that far . Also what skills need to be acquired to use these ? Seems like a stress free cheap way to travel modest distances .

      @blackhawkparamotor  7 років тому +1

      Greetings from California Aaron! Sounds like you have some epic adventures planned. We'd love to see the video footage when you get this trip situated! To answer your questions - the speed depends entirely on the Glider... The motor just controls how fast you climb. Our beginner gliders cruise slow at about 18-25 MPH. We have Gliders specifically for Cross Country Pilots like the Velocity Elektra (beginner friendly) that have "speed bars" and can go about 10-20 MPH faster than the beginner "Velocity Edge" Glider. Then we have our Nitro which is the race car of Powered Paragliding. THIS IS AN ADVANCED GLIDER for those with experience. That glider can go about 10+ MPH faster than the Elektra. You can get dual gas tanks (3+ gallons per tank) and you will get about an hour or flight per gallon depending on which motor you fly. Give us a call so we can put together a customized price quote for gear that will suit your needs. We're always here to help!

    This looks amazingly fun. As much as it would be amazing to be able to foot launch, at my age with the back and knees having seen better days, It's probably not something I'd be able to do, at least not safely or enjoyably. THis also looks to be one of the less expensive ways to get into aviation as well as being reasonably safe as long as you get some training and fly within your capabilities and that of the equimpent. Obviously not everyone does that and most still manage not to kill themselves.
    I'm curious as to the positioning of the reserve chute. It always seems to be on the side. Doesn't that guarantee a pretty bad landing? Why not mount it centered on the long access somehow. I don't know if these are like regular parachutes where you can release the main fairly quickly, but if I had to use a reserve, I really wouldn't want the main wing there to tangle it.

    • @blackhawkparamotor
      @blackhawkparamotor  6 років тому

      That's a great question... Most Pilots will put them on the side to ensure that deploying the reserve won't cause it to go into the main chute (if it's still above you). It's EXTREMELY rare for Pilots to ever deploy a reserve. In the case of a "partial collapse without recovery" (again, extremely rare), we want Pilots to "throw the reserve off to the side" to help ensure full inflation. Once the reserve is deployed, the Pilot will attempt to pull the main chute in if possible to allow for a more "even" landing. Hope that helps and feel free to call our office anytime if you have questions. We're here to help and want you to be safe!

      FAR Part 103. We always use radios when flying with others. We fly next to a lake where the clouds often break - which was the case on this specific day when we filmed this. This INSTRUCTOR was not flying aimlessly around clouds (common sense stuff). He passed through the edge of the break and had land visible behind him. It's not recommended flying above clouds where you cannot see where you are. Hope that helps =)

      +3D Isgreat Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to check out our channel and connect with us. Welcome to the Powered Paragliding experience! This is a very "weight-sensitive" sport, so that being said, "LESS IS MORE." When I first discovered this sport many years ago, I wanted the most powerful motor I could find online because I thought it would be superior to others... Just like cars and anything else with a motor... After flying just about everything out there, it came down to finding that "sweet spot" with the perfect balance of everything. Bigger motors mean more gas consumption, harder to launch, heavier to transport, etc. We have a 44hp Revolver Paramotor that will take up a 600+ lb payload easily. The motor too heavy to use as a backpack unit, so you would be limited to flying a Quad only. If you aren't interested in flying a backpack unit (which most people actually prefer), then weight isn't really an issue. If your goal is to take up other passengers (Tandem Paramotor flight), you will need a Pilot's License, you will need to get the machine "n" numbered, and there aren't many insurance companies that will protect your passenger and equipment. Just some food for thought if it helps. Can you give us a call so I can answer all your questions and point you in the right direction? I'm happy to help! If we are on the other line, just leave your info and I will call you right back. Hope to hear back from you and enjoy your week!

      +donald scarlett Hi Donald! Thanks for commenting on our videos. It can be quite daunting to research this sport because EVERYONE you talk to will tell you that "their stuff is the best, and everything else is sub-par." It's not like you can go down the street to the local Paramotor dealership and test drive one ;)
      Flying a Quad doesn't get any easier... You just sit down, press the throttle, and go. It's easier than driving a stick shift car. Whoever told you that Quads are harder to learn was probably trying to sell you something else. We get that a LOT - especially with smaller Dealers. "The best" is whatever they have in stock or make the most $ on. Learning the backpack units can be more challenging because you have to move your body to stay under the glider, while balancing the machine on your back. It only takes 3-5 days to learn to fly a Quad, and 5-7 days for the backpack units.
      When you have some time, give us a call. I remember how hard it can be to start out researching this sport, so I always keep that in mind when helping people. Anyone you talk to at BlackHawk will give you simple, honest, and accurate information. You won't have to worry about the "used car salesman mentality" here at BlackHawk. There's enough of that out there and we pride ourselves on not playing games with our customers. Hope to hear back from you Donald! (209) 786-7899.

      Thanks for the comment Greg. That specific clip was filmed on a rare day where fog rolled in over part of Hogan Lake, but there was a massive clearing in the clouds where our Pilot flew up. We also do not recommend getting the wing wet or EVER flying "through" the clouds. The Pilot was flying on the edge of the fog, where it was clear. I hope that helps with any confusion and please let us know if you have any questions / concerns.

    how much for this all in with wing?

    • @blackhawkparamotor
      @blackhawkparamotor  7 років тому

      We have complete Package Deals starting at $7000 with literally everything but the gas. Finding the right motor and glider in this sport is all about "power-to-weight" ratio, the elevation where you live, and your preferred flying style (dynamic or "low & slow" exploration). Remember that "less is more" in this sport... A bigger engine doesn't necessarily mean better like in other motor-powered vehicles. Give us a call or email when you have time. After asking you a few questions, we can narrow down which motors will be best for your needs.
      We have some units that are ultra-lightweight for Foot-Launch applications, some that are specifically designed for Quads / Trikes, and some that are "cross-over" motors - designed for BOTH Quad and Foot-Launch use. The AirMax 220 is one of the most versatile we have for Quads, the new Talon 190 is great for Trike or Foot Launch, the BlackHawk 90 is Foot-Launch only, and the new Intruder is Quad only. We just need to decide which option suits what you will be doing with your flying machine.
      Engines can go hundreds of hours before a rebuild is needed. We can easily do that for you - and so can several of our Dealers & National Training Centers. Depending on the motor, it's roughly around $500 average to do a full rebuild. Not bad for an aircraft - that's for sure!
      These questions are GREAT! I'm sure you will have many more along the way. Let's have a conversation so we can cover lots of topics. Give our office a call when you can. Make sure to leave a message if our Staff is on the other line and we will call you back ASAP =)

    I understand the concept of keeping head up eyes on glider wing when taking off on foot launch....
    Is this method of launch similar with the quad? Seems difficult to spot the glider wing being properly positioned just before rollout.
    I hate to call you guys, my wife does not know I am entertaining this NEW idea. 😳

    • @blackhawkparamotor
      @blackhawkparamotor  8 років тому

      +Gary Bowen Quad flight is incredibly easy to learn. How you lay the glider out prior to launch makes a huge difference in how it inflates. When you add throttle to the quad, the prop wash will fill the glider and start to inflate it. Once the glider clears the prop wash and reaches about the 11:00 position, you can start to see it peripherally overhead. You keep an eye on the "centering graphic" or marker on the glider, using your feet to steer and stay under the center of the glider. Quad launch and Forward-Foot-Launch are very similar in concept... The Quad just does more of the work for you and makes launching quite easier. Hope this answers your question. Thanks for asking another good one Gary =)

    If this unit had a stainless steel five gallon fuel tank and foot controls it would look and sell much better, the plastic gas canisters gives it a cheap look...

    • @blackhawkparamotor
      @blackhawkparamotor  9 років тому +5

      Randy Beard We always appreciate suggestions, so thank you! The durable plastic tanks nearly ALL manufacturer's use are a lot lighter than "stainless steel." Customers have done carbon fiber wraps on them if they want it to "look cool."

    • @rolloverriderpgr
      @rolloverriderpgr 8 років тому

      +BlackHawk Paramotor Custom design the plastic tank. MAKE it blend in and easy to remove. It doesn't have to be plastic white!

    • @blackhawkparamotor
      @blackhawkparamotor  8 років тому +3

      +rolloverriderpgr For the convenience of seeing where your fuel level is (and for safety reasons), we have designed these in this way. We've had suggestions like metal tanks and such, however, the lightweight, non-conducting, durable tanks we are using suit the needs of our pilots in many ways. Any time we add something "custom" or "pretty" to a machine, the cost will inevitably go up. Much of our success is due to having the most affordable Paramotor Packages in the world. Sure there are lots of custom tanks out there, with a hefty custom price tag. If the majority of our customers prefer the tanks we sell, that is what we stick with. It comes down to demand, and we have less than a 1% demand for custom gas tanks. It would still be cheaper to get one of our units and use a DIY tank if that's really the make-or-break for you. Just look at the price difference between the machines out there with "custom tanks" compared to the rest. Hope this helps you understand better and thanks for taking the time to comment on our channel!

    Can I use this inflight when I have 300 pounds of cargo over the front pair of wheels? How is the balance under the wing calibrated

    • @blackhawkparamotor
      @blackhawkparamotor  7 років тому

      That's a REALLY good question! We have motors that can handle up to 600 lbs. The Quad has variable adjustment points where the glider hooks in to adjust for Pilot weight. This is used a lot when there is a larger Tandem passenger than the Pilot. The glider is hooked in to the bars on the Quad - closer to the heaviest point. We've also had people in extreme situations, add some weight to the front or back by using sand bags, or common plate-like weights you find at the gym. Thanks for all the comments lately. Give our office a call when you have some extra time so we can start a conversation! We'd love to answer any questions you have, or get you a personalized price quote to help with the researching process. Talk soon =)

    • @blackhawkparamotor
      @blackhawkparamotor  7 років тому +1

      Absolutely! Thanks for the comment Dirk. Experienced Pilots can get off the ground in about 50 feet. Wind conditions can come into play also, but you don't need much room to takeoff at all. Even much less room to land. You will want to look for things like power lines, or trees that could potentially cause a safety issue, however, we take off from fields with surrounding trees frequently - especially considering how easy it is to circle while gaining altitude... If you want to email us some pics or a video of the property, we can give you a more absolute answer. These machines will turn on a dime! Why this over a powered parachute? Someday I would like to get one or the other.

    • @blackhawkparamotor
      @blackhawkparamotor  9 років тому +1

      +Brad Lale Excellent question. With a Powered Parachute, you will need a Pilot's License which increases the cost dramatically. They are much harder to transport, much more expensive, and repair costs are greater. Powered Paragliders are cheaper, safer, easier to transport, easier to fly, and you won't need a license. If you plan on taking up passengers all the time or tun a tandem business, then a PPC might be a good consideration. Otherwise, go with a PPG instead. If you want to chat more about this, please give us a call. We are here to help =)

    So you can just fly right through clouds without being able to see where other aircraft might be?

    • @blackhawkparamotor
      @blackhawkparamotor  7 років тому

      Noooooo... Our Headquarters is on a huge private Ranch, far from where other aircraft fly regularly. Pilots also typically stay quite a bit lower than the minimum of other aircraft. When there is a break in the clouds, we can use the edge of the clouds to fly up (where there is still visibility), otherwise it can be hard to tell direction / location. This sport is absolutely "as safe as the Pilot makes it" and safety is a big concern of all Manufacturers. Thanks for the comment and let us know if you have any more questions =)

      Great questions. On average, you get about 45 minutes to an hour PER GALLON of gas, and beginner gliders travel at about 18-25MPH. That being said, if the conditions are right, you can cover some serious distance in a Paramotor. Below is the link to our FAQ page to help with some common questions. Thanks for connecting with us! In the USA, there is no licensing to fly a Paramotor! It's the safest, cheapest way to own an aircraft. As far as price, they run between $7000 and $10000 for everything needed to fly. It depends on your age, weight, elevation where you live, and if you want to do Foot-Launch or Quad. When you have time, send our office a message and we will get you a price quote for equipment that suits your needs. Quads are GREAT! I'm only 38 and I switched to Quad because I love how easy they are to launch. Also so comfortable to sit in! There are so many "kids with a GoPro" uploading Paramotor videos to UA-cam now. Most people see the backpack units first due to how saturated the footage is out there. Quads take less time to learn, and after flying for some years, the comfort has become a priority to me personally. When you have time, give our office a call! We'd be happy to answer your questions about Quads and put together a customized list of recommended gear for you. Welcome to the sport!

      Hi Ted! Thanks for the comment! The INTRUDER 250 features 4-stroke EFI technology. 4-stroke motors are famous for their reliability, being quiet, and fuel efficient. The power to weight ratio is incredible on this motor. It's also newer technology. That being said, I'd strongly recommend the INTRUDER 250. This motor can handle 400+ lbs easily (Tandem and larger Pilots). You may need just a larger or Tandem size glider and you would be set.
