When i first bought this game,man this was nuts,when i got my first summon it drive me to chillsland This game is still one of the best for the good old PSP
Ah crisis core where they used a scraped concept for Sephiroth and gave life to character that was talked a bit in FF VII and introduced the coolest Bahamut to ever grace the FF universe with it be matched with FF XV Bahamut in my opinion.
Never in my entire life have I ever had more goosebumps watching final fantasy summons than in crisis core, and rewatching these now just made me subconsciously shake all over the place in awe (and fear) once more. I really doubt the reunion remake will make these even better with just how absolutely calculated _everything_ about the originals is, but I'll be sure to be all over it if they do somehow pull it off.
In FFVII, in total there has been five different Bahamut materia. There is Bahamut, Neo Bahamut, and Bahamut Zero in the main game, Bahamut and Bahamut Fury in Crisis Core, and Bahamut Sin in Advent Children. Thus the dragon of summons has the most forms.
Other than using Remake models to be consistent idk why they replaced these cinematics in Reunion considering they reused all the other FMVs from the original

I sincerely doubt they'll hold up to the originals unless they remember _exactly_ how everything about the summon cutscenes was carefully planned and constructed; it's essentially like trying to one-up borderline perfection here. But if they somehow do and manage to one-up them... I think I might just piss myself watching them.

I always wondered what the ultimate Summon Materia is. Like how the Black Materia is the ultimate destructive spell and the White Materia the ultimate defensive spell.

Could you imagine if FFVII Re or FFXVI used pre-rendered summon sequences like this, taking full advantage of tje PS4's graphical capabilities!? Kinda wish Digimon games did this for their Signature Attacks too...

You can get it during the Nibelheim chapter, which is really late into the game given how there are only 3 main bosses left, including the final one, once you get it. It's also hidden in a really unusual place for a bird of flame if I recall correctly.

There are a few Final fantasy animes. One of which has it's own summon style that has never been replicated in any game. Look up Final Fantasy: Unlimited, the animation might be a bit dated now, but damn is Kaze's summoning epic.

Too bad it was completely random when and if you ever get to see these. I love Crisis Core, but making the summons and level ups reliant on a slot machine was one of the stupidest decisions i have ever seen in a video game.
I can't remember but so far this is the only game that doesn't have Shiva as a summon in it, it's been years since I played the others but I stopped at FF 10/X2 I can't reclaim back my mins wasted in that piece of shit FF13

Its the Bahamut Materia. Non Elemental so no enemy can resist it, Piercing Damage goes through all types of defenses.

In Norse mythology Odin rides an eight legged horse called Sleipnir. The games are just referencing this. The summons in the games aren't connected.
