I had one of this toy back when I was in kindergarten. I only know it was from Silver Hawk but I don't know the character's name. Damn..it takes 33 years till today to know the name of it.. Moon Striker
Loved flashback ! Had a chance to get him in puerto Rico on a visit at a random store in 1989 ... as a young kid could never get most of the good guys in the states but was always able to find the bad guys? had buzzsaw and monstar golden era ! Nice video
ok, for years i used to use a Kenner batman backpack on a makeshift condor….it’s the exact same back pack that the real condor uses, Batman’s had the gold and black paint job. I have JUST discovered this now! good ol reuse
I left my vintage Quicksilver on the center console of my Grandmother's car as a kid and the sun destroyed the vac metal finish on him! Later on my dog got ahold of Tally-Hawk and mauled him. Just wasn't meant to be I guess. I'm loving the Super 7 figures and just got the new Quicksilver yesterday. Finally have him back in my hands again.
6:40 Get some chrome (or desired color ) electroplating magic powder and brush it in then buff off. And water down some acrylic paint or use a water marker to color match then seal them. I’d spray a light gloss sealer on them to preserve the paint but that takes a certain touch to get it right if you’re not using an airbrush.
The ones with the pop out wings and those that have leg mechanics. Are the first line toys released ( blue grass shoots out side man if you load it on his back ) copper kids bird is named mayday ( its a whistle ) buzzsaw's bird is shred-a-tor, molecular's bird is vol-ture
Thank God for Super 7 I currently have Quick Silver, Blue Grass and both Steel Twins. For the villains I have Regulr Mon Star and Wind Hammer. They are ALL Awesome 🤩
Super7 is killing me with their teasers of these! Along with MP TF and the TC line already filling up my shelves these will push me to the limit. These still look pretty good after all these years. I only ever had quicksilver and buzzsaw, though they were the only ones I wanted. One of my biggest dilemmas was at kay-bee in the local mall back then having to decide between the attack bird tally hawk and the thunder tank! I eventually went with the thundertank, and the rubber treads broke within days, I was so bummed! It was still fun while it lasted.
These guys were always my favorite when I was a kid 😊 I have since then reacquired just the main 5 hawks (loose) and I’m looking for storage / display solutions. Right now they’re on a shelf just standing, but I would like them to at least be encased in something for a bit of protection and display. Can you recommend anything for this sized figure that may work? Thanks for bringing me back again! 😊
@@tydiriumhanger1320 yes silverhawks are very expensive now. I have the 1980's bionic six collection that are made of metal and plastic. I also have the 1980's he-man vintage collection with castle grey skull. I'm a huge collector as well
I remember that there was a vacuum metalized Mon Star as well. One of my cousins had him and he didn’t transform. And you didn’t mention Skyrunner, Mon Star’s squid and vehicle, or the Silver Hawks ship the Mirage.
I found one of those guitar birds in a coffee can of 80's toy ephemera. Another old cartoon/toy line I have zero memory of. Hopefully I actually had one and didnt steal the guitar thing off some kid at the playground or something.
Great review! Very Nostalgic. I’ve never owned a single Silver Hawk, but watched the show everyday after school! It was cheesy and seemed to copy Thundercats, but I enjoyed it.
What sucked about these figures is that they did NOT come with a face plate....they could have made something to snap on and off the face..but no...i had "Copper kid" the peg warmer!
Do you have any advice for what to do if the arm pop gimmick is broken on a figure? I picked up a Steelwill and his legs are pretty loose and won’t pop his arms up when they’re squeezed.
Hi! I have a video suggestion with transformers, considering that you have several masterpiece scale combiners . How about a video with all your combiners side by side to make clear the difference in size between them. I didn't find any video of this on youtube. Thanks for you attention. By the way, I'm a big fan of Siverhawks, but I only collect transformers.
@@tydiriumhanger1320 Hi! Thanks for answering. I had already watched this video of yours, I watched almost all of your videos about transformers. As I said, until today I have not found any video comparing, side by side, all transformers combiners "masterpiece" scale. Better yet, how about all the masterpiece transformers side by side in a single video. A video in the robot form and another video in the alternative form. It will be fantastic !!!
Awesome toys 😎 👍
Never collected these but the cartoon was freaking awesome! This and the Visionaries.
As for me, this and the Centurions.
Arguably the most beautiful action figures of alltime.
My brother has the entire line, including Ultrasonic Quicksilver and the Skyrunner.

Love the enthusiasm for this old run of toys. I've been getting a run lately, and man, they're hard to find in great shape! Thanks for the video.

I had a version of Condor's backpack as a kid that came with a Batman figure. I had no idea it was originally from this line.
MonStar was my go to big bad for all my action figure wars!!!
I used Monstar as Juggernaut when I played with my Secret Wars and Super Powers figures. He was the right size and color!
Silverhawks was Robocop meets G Force in space with a hint of Thundercats. Liked the concept.
I still have the green bad guy with the yellow buzz saws and he is still amazing
Picked up 2 combo packs Jesus answered my prayers!!! 😆🤗

Something that needs to come out in a new series
Alright.....now I'm jelous....I never had these
...but I loved that show

12:30 I had this as a kid - if you pull the trigger behind there is some sort of spark / light that is visible from his chest window
I only had the cowboy from this line. I had wanted more but never managed to.
Thank God for Super 7 I currently have Quick Silver, Blue Grass and both Steel Twins. For the villains I have Regulr Mon Star and Wind Hammer. They are ALL Awesome 🤩

Sorry Copper Kidd comes with May Day, enjoy!
I wish I had that collection
it took a long time and was financially painful! But fun on the other end of collecting it

You’re thoughts on Super 7 doing new SilverHawks figures
I think that they should do two versions. Show accurate ones and vac metalized ones. To please both kinds of fans.
This collection is next to impossible to get. Bluegrass is the only one that survived from mine. I had all of them but stealheart of the main ones.

Glad you enjoyed! Yes it was a cheesy show but fun overall
i used to have Hot Wing and Moon Stricker but both of them disappear.😭
As I recall, I don't think Flashback ever showed his face at all on the show.
That’s correct. He was a time traveler and very secretive.
One thing that really disappoints me is the fading paint
Yes that is sad and hinders the line 30+ years later

How do you get hold of all these rare figures? Is there a point of asking for a collection tour? That would be awesome
Superb review 👌🏼

I still have a few of them plus the ship in my attic. I should pull them out an talk a look at them.
If you ever decide to sell the ship , let me know, iam on the hunt for one of those .
Word has it, S7 wants to make new one.
Let's just hope they don't use the MOTUC/Thundercats bucks ... too muscular.
That would be cool if Super7 does them and they need to be shiny! Yes those classics are a bit off from silverhawks but I have high hopes
I had buzzsaw 1986
Monstar
You need the squid
I have seven, i love toys !!
Was there a part 2 to this video?
And Moon Striker?
These figures look cool but very poor durability with the exception of Buzz-Saw, which is my favorite!! ☺️
You never spoke of the prices on these

I will link you a vid that may help with scale but comparing all combiners may be a great vid idea! Thanks ua-cam.com/video/WSK63z0emBA/v-deo.html

I remember a silver hawk that could balance on your finger but didn’t see it with the other toys hmmm
you have the birds of steel will and steel heart mixed up stronghold goes with steelheart and razor goes with steelwill
