Had to order a new clutch after a tune on my car called MAP to see what clutch i should run becuase first time building a car, now running a Clutch Masters FX350 w/ a lightweight flywheel. It holds more than I will need for a about a year. thanks guys!
MAPerformance Honda - sadly the same day i wrote this the CM clutch basically died after only 2100 miles for no good reason, i just ordered a ACT clutch with John and he was great! Just upset i lost money on that CM clutch.....

Cost me $5,029.00 (in labor alone) yesterday only to be told the clutch is faulty and since the 90 warranty expired while my car was being worked on I AM FK'D out of a nice chunk of money. I won't buy jack shhhh from Car ID nor ACT ever again!! Next is a new clutch, forged rims and a Big Garret Turbo!!!
What about a forged clutch fork? I have a 2015 Subaru WRX limited with 300whp/tq .. just recently had a new clutch put in - a Clutchmasters stage 1 pressure plate/disc, an Exedy OEM Subaru BRZ/WRX flywheel (a bit lighter than stock), Verus forged clutch fork/billet fork pivot, PDM snout repair/sleeve kit .. love the way it feels now .. I already have polyurethane shifter bushings and a weighted shift knob and also added a kartboy shifter linkage reduction (40% shorter throws) .. the car reacts much more quickly now

@@stangsO9Spec brand Stage 2+ clutch. Mechanic i felt comfy with did it. 67 miles in, does well. Like a 3in engagement area on the whole pedal stroke. It's in a great area im usually just nervious & trying to baby & end up doing more than good. My previous owners basically closed coursed my car lol so their alleged stage 2 clutch blew after me 'learning' for 2k miles. Uhm yeah spec been cool & dec. I bought an upgraded fork clutch that was not needed. Was too heavy for the retainer spring mechanic said. So i got stock fork with new alum flywheel, clutch, press plate, throwout bearing. My tans nose had damage in the past from a hella worn out TOB. (BEARING GOUGES & FKS WEAR SURPHACE). so a machinist make a sleeve you can slip over but then it is a few mm smaller inside diameter bearing than OEM. That happened in my vehicle & i had no clue that other owners fkd it like that (not a huge deal_ sleeve is avaible & the bearing was on hand in MT even) like 33mm vs 37. Uhm yeah so im breaking the clutch in & im stoked. Read much of 500mile break in & such. Yet realized today-- i has to be the amohnt of shifts- to get a good seatinf surohace to flywheel vs friction plate. As a person can travel 500 miles in 14 shifts. But if you get 3,000 'perfect' shifts in 300 miles think that the ideal- for example. Let u know. Thanks for wondering.

What do you see as high torq cars? There are racing cars like the MX5 NA with only say about 126bhp and 150Nm but its a race car? Is this low torq but racing level so stage 3 or higher? Or mainly stage 1 or 2?

A clutch isn't going to make any more power, no matter what stage it is. If your Accord is stock we would recommend an OEM replacement, otherwise you're just wasting money.

I’ve driven almost 30k miles on the clutch master fx400 rigid disk for the stock dual mass flywheel. It’s been amazing no chatter no issues perfect engagement and I installed it myself and I know what I’m doing so that probably a factor as to why I’ve had such good luck with this clutch and I’m making 350whp over 300wheel torque 50k+ miles beating on it all day long
If i plan on upgrading my car to get high horse power and torque but my car is stock and the clucth is starting to slip. Is a bad idea to just upgrade it to a performance one now instead of later? Or just get a standard one now amd upgrade it again later. I plan on building my wrx sti within the next 2 years to a stage 2-3

This is my daily and I just want something that is better than stock and doesn’t lock me out of 2nd or 3rd gear at high rpms because the stock clutch is so bad. What would you recommend. I don’t want something that is overkill if I can just have a single disc that is better than oem.

If it launches hard when you ease out you're starting in too low of a gear. This results in clashing against the flywheel it's like dumping the clutch, try taking off in the next gear

I would go with c.c. (competition clutch) It works really good. What type of setup do you have? Mods? Horsepower? I have a em1 and I have used lots of clutches.
im buyin a car off of face book market and i never drove manual and the car had a stage three and i read its hated upon on and it makes me fear as a beginner
i have an 06 g35 sedan manual transmission and the past couple weeks, my clutch has been receiving a gap and it seems like it's getting bigger. i don't think i have an issue with my release point but now it feels like when i push my clutch down i have to push it to the floor due to the gap. is they because it's stage 3 and just broke in or do i need s new clutch ?
How the hell are you supposed to get the right clutch when you call product support and say you want an 11” clutch for a Chevy 327 without extended fingers give them all the measurements and they can’t help you. These help lines are worthless!
Basic stuff. Very disappointing that they didn't even touch on the importance of using up all the increased friction surface area that an aftermarket flywheel will provide. Most of the time an aftermarket flywheel will have a bigger contact area than your factory clutch disc, therefore simply by stepping up disc and pressure plate diameter you instantly increase the holding power using the same organic material.

Do you have a clutch fork spring? Perhaps under the intcooler? Ive read of it in forums for legacy, they said sti comes stock with one

Stick with a stage 1 for that application! These can put up with the abuse of racing!

I got ACT hdss on my Evo X, it says it hold up to 600 torque but it’s full face clutch, not sure if that’s true.
ACT says around or under 530wtq. It really depends on how you are driving it too!

What do you recommend for a 10th gen civic Sport hatchback pushing 260 whp/290 wtq? I was thinking about getting a clutch masters fx350 or fx400. I want smooth engagement but enough grab for putting down power every now and then.

Whats a good clutch for my integra gsr?
i have an 06 g35 sedan manual transmission and the past couple weeks, my clutch has been receiving a gap and it seems like it's getting bigger. i don't think i have an issue with my release point but now it feels like when i push my clutch down i have to push it to the floor due to the gap. is they because it's stage 3 and just broke in or do i need s new clutch ?

How the hell are you supposed to get the right clutch when you call product support and say you want an 11” clutch for a Chevy 327 without extended fingers give them all the measurements and they can’t help you. These help lines are worthless!

Basic stuff. Very disappointing that they didn't even touch on the importance of using up all the increased friction surface area that an aftermarket flywheel will provide.
Most of the time an aftermarket flywheel will have a bigger contact area than your factory clutch disc, therefore simply by stepping up disc and pressure plate diameter you instantly increase the holding power using the same organic material.
It's MAP Performance btw not MA Performance, the P is used in both words. Good video though.
