I have an hour to kill on youtube, do I go watch Enes Yilmazer video of a house that he is over hyping or do I come here get the cliff notes with some humor and education? The answer is simple I kill my hour here.
I get that Enes is selling these homes, and he needs to be positive- But watching the Arvin version is soooo much better. I enjoy these videos too much!!! 😂
This looks like something that would feature on a urban explorer channel in 20-30 years. "CRAZY!!! Abandoned Billionaires Castle in remote Colorado!!! Furniture still inside!!!"
@@ArvinHaddadOfficialI would be very surprised if anyone has actually lived in this place. It seems to me it was built by someone with lots of money, some fantasy, and not a whole lot of common sense.
I had VERY similar thoughts: “Abandoned Millionaire Dr. Castle” He made his fortune in “pain clinics” spent it all in this dream, then got incarcerated and lost it all even his license…
Never thought I’d see a fleur de lis relief above a pizza oven in a French/Tuscan/Corinthian-columned Coloradan chateau. Breathtaking! 10/10 for identity crisis.
@@FilipCordas I was just saying this...the person making this video clearly doesn't know anything about architecture or interior design. This is called transitional architecture and interior design. This is supposed to look this way on purpose. It's the mixing of old an new.
This is the first time I've seen you state the obvious about TV placement and it's so welcome. This bad habit of putting a TV over a fireplace is just terrible. Most houses do this and it just means everyone has to look up. TV's should be centered at eye level for comfort. Putting them above a fireplace, or, often, off centre, isn't luxury. It's literally a pain in the neck.
One reason is a lot of architects labor under the belief that the fireplace is the focal point of the room (thanks, Frank Lloyd Wright), and the television is some evil thing they wish didn't exist. As a result, they don't accommodate the television, so their solution is to put it above the fireplace.
@@Tugela60 Then why not hang a picture? No, their meant to be watched. I know of quite a few people who have their TV above their fireplace - they watch them.
@@daniel_sc1024 Just telling you what those TVs are for, why they are there. For actually watching TV these houses will have appropriate living rooms or theaters. Your friends might have TVs above fireplaces, but that is probably because they live in a small house that has no space anywhere else. Or they just don't understand why some houses have TVs above fireplaces and think that is the proper place to put one as a a result. The spot above a fireplace is meant for a picture. Remember, in the old days before LED flat screens TVs were huge and required dedicate spaces, they would not have been hung on the wall.
Europe here... nobody wants to live in a castle! Not just because, as we Germans say, nobody wants to pay the heating costs, but simply because such a massive building can't be filled with life! There's a reason why almost all castles here in Europe are museums or hotels. Old manor houses and former (larger) farmhouses with a rebuilt barn, inhabited by multi-generational families or partially used for any kind of offices or workshops, are the "pinnacle". Three floors, probably 100 to 150 feet of corridors per floor... and in this case, also in the middle of nowhere... what are you going to do there apart from drinking more alcohol than you can bring in???
@@ArvinHaddadOfficial I know that there is a German real estate agent living in Mallorca who sells luxury properties and presents them on UA-cam. You can find him via his name _Marcel Remus_ As far as I know, there is no real estate agent who presents luxury houses in Germany on UA-cam comparable to you, Enes, or other US real estate UA-camrs. Of course, there are a few real estate agents who present their buildings, but these are much more short sophisticated sales videos for architecturally simple houses with perhaps up to 150 square meters / 1600 square feet + garden, and apartments with up to 120 square meters /1300 square feet, that can be sold quickly. Then there are certainly those who, for example, renovate an old house or farmhouse and document it on UA-cam, but those are individual projects that span many months or even years and focus on the technical details and work involved. There are some German real estate websites like Zillow (can be found via Google) and you should look at the more expensive houses in e.g. Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, Tegernsee and Sylt. Prices in these areas can be at the top end of the price scale in Germany... and yet, you will be shocked, laugh and cry at the same time because of what is on offer when you see the houses and apartments from an American perspective ;) (some points should be mentioned: - the truly wealthy in this country find it very difficult to display their wealth in this way because their wealth is often resented - most Germans who build or buy a home want to live in that home for a very long time)
To be fair Arvin re: backyard… remember Enes showed a complete shower area for a dog, followed by a small fenced in area. This home is in the mountains, where there are bears, bobcats, coyotes etc. To me, this looks like an area solely created to let the family pet out for a bathroom break when not convenient to take for a walk. At least, this is my impression… thoughts?
It definitely had dog run vibes for me. Let the dog run around and get muddy then bring it in for a wash. There is no way that you can open a door and let your house dogs run about 35 acres unsupervised, you would never see them again. I did love the dog themed tiles!
Agree with this - outdoor space for pet relief that is protected from bears and coyotes. It would be tricky taking a dog for a walk in deep snow during winter
It looked like vinyl fencing. It would not stand up to a bear or mountain lion. For $11 million, they could have at least used precast concrete panels in a stone look. Also, who wants a dog wash right next to the kitchen?
I think thats what it is aswell, but for what the house is trying to be it looks laughable and thats the point. Its a very confused, tasteless mcmansion.
To be fair, he mentions multiple times that the place is unfinished, but... why is it being shown while having so many unfinished areas still? I have a feeling the owners are saying that in hoping to get a quick sale and letting the new owners deal with 'finishing' it because the whole place is a mess. What even is that yard? Just an open like rock and dirt cliff opening into your central courtyard? What happens when rainwater comes pouring down the hill into there? Does it just flood the house? Bring mud down the hill into the courtyard? It looks like the place was just freshly cleaned up, but what does it look like without constant maintenance probably dang near every day LMAO

@@Tugela60 I dont know man, the house is "only" 11 mil asking meaning itll sell for 7 but then again it is highly specialized and there are only so many potential buyers out there that are into the french maccastle asylum look so itll sell for 5 tops somewhere around 2040! Meaning you really cant afford to hire servants as the middle income salary in USSA is around 200k a year, so you shell out 200 and taxes and insurances and healthcare etc and all of a sudden, those 5 mil you are worth aint sh*t! Nope, if you wanna grab a bottle you need to do some alpine trekking on your own in that fuglyass non-euclidian mac-castle monstrocity. Just read what I said earlier, the freaking balcony has a freaking balcony and the entire joint echoes inside. I dont know about you but Id be scared s*itless if I had to spend a night alone in there.
A classic example of less is more. From a European perspective, I have to say I don't understand many of these big houses. Nobody needs 3 living rooms or 5 mini apartments and 20 balconys in a house. Only build spaces that you are actually using. It makes the house uncomfortable and completely inefficient for me. The whole thing was clearly taken to the extreme here. I'm pretty sure that you can achieve a much higher quality of living in a third of the space with lets say 2 normal + 1 main bedroom, but with a huge living room and one huge terrace with a jacuzi and maybe 2-3 small balconys. I also have to say that I didn't like the driveway at all. For me, it has the coziness of a Wall Mart parking lot. Here too, less would be more. Where are the plants, the vegetation? You will never let a heavy goods vehicle with excess length turn there. So make it smaller. The house is too big in every corner. I could talk here for hours. And regarding the finishes: Plastic instead of a slate roof is innovative? Again, make the house much smaller, then you can afford build a proper roof to maintain.
@@Tugela60 Ive been through there a few times. You are far enough into the Rockies to feel secluded, and close enough to Denver to spend an evening out in the city. Or to commute. @@stefr13 lol, that isn't a mcmansion. It's waaaaay too expensive and unique. A mcmansion is a large house that is mass produced in some sort of higher (not highest) home owners association. Think $1-$3 million.
A castle is a military structure and does not have windows. This is a chateau (a residence). It is easy to confuse the two because after castles were no longer needed a lot of them were converted to chateaus. A lot of castles had chateaus outside the castle walls for living during normal times. However, they are architecturally different types of structures for different reasons.
Your definition as a "military structure" would depend if it was built as an actual fortification, or a "defensible position" a utilitarian function...? At some point there was no need to defend the castle, it morphed with elements of old and stylized for future use and curb "eye" candy. Jus say'n.
as a colorado resident, I think it's important to note that every afternoon on a sunny day, all of those huge uncovered west facing windows will allow massive heat and glaring light to overwhelm the indoor space
I remember watching this tour and was struck by Enes saying the whole home was custom built by and for the owners, but then later in the tour, he stated the builder/owners only lived in the house for 2 months before putting it on the market.
@@Tugela60 Exactly, as I just posted in another reply, it looks nice all freshly cleaned up and manicured but imagine what that entire central courtyard looks like after a rainstorm. It will be full of mud and debris that ran downhill off that 'cliff'. @@thehoerscorral8565 Golly, you'd need an army to maintain this property. My theory is that's what drove the family out. They probably realized they needed help so they hired one staff member. Then another. Then they realized that when you have a MASSIVE house or castle, you have MASSIVE maintenance costs. I learned from hours of "lottery winners gone broke" videos. If I win the lottery, I'm cutting myself off at a maximum of 2 floors and 4,000 sq ft (that includes garage space).
After Arvin's video it's almost impossible to watch other real estate videos, not to mention it is so hard to find a nice home to buy or even rent. I believe this is how real estate education works, so big thanks for that!
The castle style buildings are hurting my european eyes. Pls just don't; it looks hideous. EDIT: Arvin is right by pointing out, that the interior design does not match geographically; but the finishes are also not matching in time. The collums are greek 200 BC-style while the pizza oven is french(!) barock 17th century. It's just really weird to look at. And the chandeliers are killing every room.
I know this is two weeks late, but you will hate all the California McMansions that Enes and others cover. Seriously, go look at his channel and just look at his videos page, the like 40 most recent videos, how many of them AREN'T these ugly faux 'european' square monstrosities that have identical tacky interiors?
I want to mention about the ‘downward’ steps to the jacuzzi/tub. Actually, that it quite important when someone has balance issues or maybe an older person, etc. Trying to kneel down to get into the tub could be dangerous for some people. Once you go down the steps, you can sit on the edge safely turn your body to get in the tub. It really is a safe idea! Arvin, love your video’s!
As a European, I find this try to replicate European architecture tacky and crapy. It's like the old lady who wears too much fake oversized jewelry and a fur coat to stand out, but for everyone else, it just feels off
I lived in Colorado years ago and I can assure you that almost every outdoor space in this house I a snow trap, i was cringing just watching it,.especially that little.door from the bedroom that leads to the roof will be unusable 3 months of the year, even where they have left the mud where they cut into the mountain is creating a large ditch making all that side a swamp

The curved stone ceiling over the kitchen is a really nice touch adding warmth and authenticity to the scene...but the LED lighting on it makes it look like something from Vegas.
As a massive fan of the Biltmore Estate, I found this house to be just another tacky McMansion. And, I agree…the “foyer” is absolutely awful and one of the many disappointing spaces. Such a shame. Could have been a stunning home. *Edit: I really appreciate that each bedroom has its own washer and dryer. It’s so much more convenient, people are responsible for their own laundry, no one is having to wait on a machine to become available, people aren’t having to lug bags are drag sorters through the house. As someone with an all adult family, who visits me often (and stays in my AirBnB equipped spaces), they appreciate having their own washer/dryer and their own kitchenette. If I was able to build a mansion, every bedroom would have its own coffee bar/kitchenette and every bedroom closet would have its own washer/dryer.
Amazing how visitors arriving at the mansion can get a great view at the owner wiping their butt or showering. Also looking at how much windows & unnessesary corners this structure has means it'll have tons of heat bridges & will be extremely uncomfortable due to the strong drafts it'll have everywhere from the air circulating from those temperature differences. Also heating will cost a fortune. Also, european castles RARELY have structural columns, because the walls are structural & rooms usually not that big that they couldn't be spanned by oak frames. This looks like (even though it isn't) a wood frame cheapo house that they slapped some sandstone tiles on. It's like they designed a castle from a vague memory of a picture of the Disneyland Ciderella Castle. This horrible clusterfuck rates 12/10 on the McMansion scale.
Also, most castles I've visited are more like a little towns inside the outside walls. The main building is not that big and rooms are usually quite small for modern standards. This looks more like a weird hybrid between a castle and a palace, but it feels wrong. Also, it's so white. Castles originally were colorful with tapestry and paintings on the walls, palaces were full of art, but this building looks so plain...
being from Europe it looks entirely horrible....like when the chinese rebuild paris...i would enjoy if u could review some more interesting cote dazur properties
Like someone in the Alps would build a Mission or Pueblo style building and of course it screams fake. Neuschwanstein is also fake...but at least it fits it surroundings and location.
as an Architect, this is a nicely built "custom" home...Custom meaning built for the client and their likes and needs...may not fit your needs or likes, in which case buy it and custom fit it to your likes and dislikes...Also, last time I checked Mikey still works with Enes along with some other videographers(Mikey is like the head of that team...)

@@blueice011 I agree with your point of view. There is no doubt that this is a flawed house, but some of Arvin's criticisms are too harsh. This is not a real castle, and the style inside is more suitable for modern people to live in (no one likes to live in a dark, damp, and poorly ventilated castle). I think the chandelier is acceptable, and I think the backyard is appropriate. But when I saw this video of Enes 3 years ago, I laughed at the design of "every room has a washer and dryer". I also don't like the design of the gallery, which is not only a safety hazard, but also seriously interferes with working below.
@@blueice011 Oh, by the way, there is a hidden children's room in the gallery. However, it is too small and poses a serious safety hazard. It is very easy for a child to fall from the children's room to the office below. In addition, the corridor outside the rooms on the first floor is not partitioned, so it is very easy to go from room A to room B through the corridor. I don't like this very much, considering that the rooms are all glass doors, which has no privacy and no sense of security.
@@Tugela60 People who can afford this kind of property will not consider your concerns. Because they will not only have this one house. The main purpose of this kind of house is to vacation and relax.
A steam oven is like cooking your food in a really hot sauna, it's literally a steam oven just like the name implies. A convection oven uses hot air by heating metal plates that cover the whole surface above for baking and below for broiling and a fan to circulate the heat, an electric oven uses metal elements twisted into rectangular shapes, like light bulb filaments but bigger and not as hot, and generally allow heat to circulate naturally meaning they don't cook evenly or get hot enough for stuff like pizza. Best option is to get induction (or gas) cooktops and a separate set of wall ovens. Steam ovens break down more often than any other type, cost more to maintain, get really dirty really fast, take up more space than a convection oven and are best used for baking birthday cakes and moist & gooey chocolate chip cookies rather than cooking meat & potato meals, for those I'd go with a speed oven which is a convection/microwave in one. Oh yeah, pizza ovens need to be in every kitchen on Earth. Everyone loves pizza.

Another fantastic video. This has quickly become one of my favorite channels on UA-cam. My general thoughts. I LOVE how Arvin seems to get progressively more and more annoyed and negative as the home tour goes on in this video. LMAO. I have to admit-I kinda liked the property from the outside-but it really feels like this property has some red flags. I think he’s right when he said they may have ran out of money. A 4 story home with a closed off elevator shaft, an unfinished attic, and an unfinished basement-and not a single penny spent on the backyard (not even lighting on the big rock). The mountains of Colorado experience some pretty harsh weather-and this house lacks indoor family/activity space imo.
@@blueice011 I disagree with you on this. I don’t think this home is going to go to some off grid naturalist that wants solar panels and to be eco-friendly. This is a luxury home in a secluded area that is most likely going to appeal to a very wealthy person to use as a vacation/getaway home for their family. Most off grid people aren’t looking for washers/dryers in every bedroom and extreme luxury. I would bet that the person that would be a buyer for this home would absolutely prefer the quarter or half acre of flat land surrounding the house to have had some sort of attention paid to it. I’m not saying that they should terrace or manicure 35 acres-I’m saying that they should have done a little something to only the flat area surrounding the home. Lastly-I think that the home being unfinished and the owner running out of money is kinda a big deal. This house is clearly secluded-I cant imagine that it be easy or inexpensive to find somebody to come by to finish and install an elevator. I can’t imagine it being easy or inexpensive to find somebody to come by and finish and build out the basement and attic.
This places is in the middle of nowhere it’s still 3 hours to Aspen to ski & almost an hour to the city limits of Denver (600 Chateau V Road, Evergreen).
Interesting to see how someone who wants to build the house of his dreams starts designing it from outside to inside without ever stopping in hesitation.
I miss Mikey!!!! I was so happy to see this upload I love your reviews of Enes's videos more than anything else. I think they probably lost a lot of potential buyers by not installing that elevator. At least any buyers over 40.... But also would not want to be staff there without an elevator.
I'm a total amateur, but after watching so many vids of mansions asking in the tens of millions and more, even $12 million seems like it would have sold at a great loss.
Only lived in for 3 months bc the owners clearly gave up on It and realized they messed up. Incredible location and views but this place seemed confused in so many ways, like the owners kept on adding random elements they thought were cool and one day realized none of It made sense together from an aesthetic or functional standpoint. Your main family room has a TV that is 12 feet off the ground, your wine cellar is a storage room in the motor court, your “gym” has a random crystal chandelier in It, you have 36 acres of land but not even a functional backyard. Unfinished attic, unfinished basement, no elevator even tho the home was designed to have one, no swimming pool or hot tub area……. anyone buying this home is going to have to put millions of dollars into It to finish It. This the type of home I would hate to buy, you are essentially going to have to build in the graveyard that was the previous owners’ failed project, would much rather start completely over.
BTW, This mansion finally sold after at least 3 years of $9.5M. I can't imagine the cost of running this place. All those gas fireplaces, stoves and ovens? Propane! Can you even imagine how much Propane has to be delivered to this remote area? Even the underfloor heating is propane.
Using propane sounds like they’re not connected to the electric grid. Does that mean they also don’t have natural gas, a cable connection, a landline? Are they also on well water and a septic tank? How sketchy is cell phone connectivity way out there? So many questions…
@tedjohnson64 They are out in the sticks, there are no utilities. Propane has a higher energy output than natural gas, and is easier to store and transport. Which is important when you are living off the grid.
so glad you reviewed this! i think the builders ran out of money to finish the home properly, the exterior is well done and beautiful but the inside is finished like any run of the mill $1-2m dollar home in any suburb in the USA 🤣
Yes, the builders who were selling when Enes went through had run out of money, it eventually sold for 9.5M, it was relisted in September 2024 for 60M (I've seen online that the basement level had dirt floors when it was purchased)
Architect here: The main problem with this "modern castle" "style" is that 90% of the times the result is neither modern nor classic, the final result ends up being a weird mix of elements that have no cohesion. If you add that many times these homes are huge for the sake of being huge you end up with a multi million dollar disaster. Designing homes this big requires specialized skills and/or a very talented professional with a great understanding of space, light and circulation, your average "developer" is not fit to design such a big property.
@@Silvina46 a Chateu is literally a french castle, this is not a castle nor is it french, so it does not qualify as a chateu. This construction does not even entirely follow the Chateauesque revivalist style as it is mix of several styles with "classic" elements. As an architect I know that 😉
@@danielquevedo5064 Chateaus can be castles, they can also be mansions. In fact, the vast majority of chateaux are of the mansion variety. This mansion does qualify as a chateau architecturally.

Hey there, I love that you got the judder issue fixed, I'm also loving the transitions where the round frame where you talk from gets larger in the picture, overall nice increase in production quality, I'm loving to see it.
Come on Arvin I'd really like for you to give more positive comments as you give negative ones they will make the video more enjoyable. There are a LOT of beautiful elements in this house that if they were different you would've definitely negatively commented on them, but because they are nice you are just passing them by. a lot of the themes, the colors, the floors, the finishes, the stairs, the windows, the grandeur, the kitchen, are really beautiful (yeah some of them don't fit the exterior) but still, are so elegant and tasteful.
It’s true I wouldn’t put them together in the sane room without selling tickets first. But there’s no taste at all in all the place. The builders threw together everything they could imagine, just that. No consistent sense of style or history. The architect only followed orders, wich is ok of you will live in it. But why selling it so quickly? Something happened there.
This was always my favorite house of enis, but I could really feel the tension between him and Mikey even then. Very rude to mikey, actually, and you could tell Mikey was trying very hard. But I still love this house.
In one of the earlier videos ( Calabasa House?), Enes mentions Mikey and writes 'our channel' but I guess as the channel blew up it became 'my channel'.
This ain’t no Biltmore. Nor that ski lodge in Banff lol. This is pure hubris and display of an ego gone wildly above anyone else’s grounded valuations lol. These are the times I do say another prayer that Enes truly loves the audacity of the sellers, and sheer theatre of it all. Amen. 🇬🇧
Another enjoyable analysis of this home. It is a beautiful home, but it is clear quite a few things were missed during interior design. Something else I find odd in many of these massive dream homes is the lack of handicap accessibility. If you're going to build a forever home, I would think consideration would be made in case the owners would need wheelchairs or walkers in the future.
Many places in Colorado, like this one, don't have an appropriate place for a yard. The land is too steep and too rocky. You pick the site for the view, period, and then deal with the rest as best you can. It's insane to try and import the natural surroundings and expectations of other, totally different environments. For instance, a lot of people building at this altitude are far from water. It has to get hauled in and stored in giant cisterns in the basement because city water is too far away, and they can't even produce the pressure to pump water this high without high pressure lines and a series of staging tanks and pumps. Good water is very scarce. Yet the houses are all over in the Colorado Foothills, which is famous for wildfires. Many mountain homes can't even get fire insurance. This place needs a metal roof to keep smoldering ash from starting the roof on fire. That's mountain living. Simply put, in the mountains there are things you must live without unless you have a billion dollars to sink into your dream home. This place is probably 20 to 30 minutes, (in the summer,) away from any emergency services, (each way.) In the winter, it can be 2 days, unless they send a helicopter or snowcat for someone with a heart attack, and that's when there isn't a whiteout, when it would be impossible to get a flight-for life-chopper in the air and dangerous for the snowcat. If you want flatlander living, buy a place in Denver. Almost no amount of money can provide both environments. However, I sure agree with many of his other comments. Plus, I get the impression, right or wrong, that some of the exterior columns are plastic, or white pine carved to look like stone, (whether they actually are or not,) not like a European castle, but like a castle at an amusement park in Indiana. They give me that 'fake' vibe. I live about 30 miles north of there, and I wouldn't want to live there.
I lived in China for 2 years and I can say there are so many buildings that looks like this (usually they are the reception-type house for a apartment complex). Sometimes they are kind of cool (considering they were made by people who never been to Europe) but in the USA I hold them to higher standards
I remember this video from Enes when he posted it - I was thinking that $12M was ridiculously cheap for this location and square footage. Then, seeing the inside, I realized that any buyer would have their work cut out for them. Props to Mikey, though, for pulling off that drone fly-through, through the front doors, and right out the back. Damn, we miss you, Mikey. I do love the exterior of this house, but I'm 100% with you, Arvid, on the interior; it just goes downhill immediately, starting in the foyer - just missing that wow factor. It seems that the exterior was designed masculine and the interior feminine, which is just a mismatch.
You say what I always think when I watch high value home videos. I would be much more comfortable touring mansions with you. Your eye for practical purposes is spot on.
i actually seen enes video on the castle so many times i love this house especially thats it like off grid and all that land full complete privacy if i had more than 12 million dollars i would actually buy this house no cap
Omg. There is so a house like this in HH and maybe that size. My ex and I walked it when it was under construction. I remember thinking how much effort it would take should the owner forget something in her car while she already made it to her bedroom lol. And what a waste of space in that courtyard! Perhaps they can host some fundraisers at least. Otherwise install some grass to make up for the no backyard of it all. 🇬🇧
Definitely got chapel vibes from the bench area space . I completely agree with your understanding of how there’s not much continuity from exterior to interior . The owners have maybe looked at Houzz and pinned everything the loved and incorporated it in the build . I’m a builder and clearly the architect was pleasing the owner and obviously didn’t stop the owner . And 100% agree the elevator should be in already . Cheapened out .
The whole interior design feels like they just thought European means chandeliers and put them everywhere, they also seemingly spent all their money on them (should have made a chandelier counter)
of all of these over-expensive properties this is the one I find the reasonable priced ones. The quality and attention to small details is amazing. A grand Chateau ten times cheaper than all these L.A. Mansions
I have to disagree with you on this one. They did not go for a medieval castle look; but rather with an 18th century French chateau look on the outside. The chandeliers and fireplaces and floor on the inside really match that. What throughs it off a little is the sterile white walls and ceilings. They should have added molding, color and wallpaper on the walls and nice ornaments on the ceilings to complete the French chateau look. The domes are really out of place. Also, a water fixture in the middle of the yard and some trees and flowers would make it much more beautiful. The view lacks a lake or two. But that's the problem with Colorado.
This one is interesting. I actually like it. Interestingly, it looks like it sold for about $9.5m in Nov 2021. It is back up for sale as of Dec 2024, three years later, and listed for about $59m. If you look at the listing, there are a only few changes seen in the pictures but, as best I can tell, not $40m in changes/upgrades. Will be interesting to see if it sells and at what price.
7:51 I wouldn't say the chandeliers are out for the exterior style. It's basically a pastiche of a chateau from the 18th or 19th century. Definitely NOT a castle or even a "fortified manor". And as for the windows, on most levels they are pure 20th century. I'm puzzled as to why Arvin hasn't picked them out.

Those TVs are not meant to be watched, they are incidental backgrounds, they fill the same role as a picture would.
You can't even watch the tv during the day with all that light coming through the windows reflecting on the tv screen.

I know that there is a German real estate agent living in Mallorca who sells luxury properties and presents them on UA-cam. You can find him via his name _Marcel Remus_
As far as I know, there is no real estate agent who presents luxury houses in Germany on UA-cam comparable to you, Enes, or other US real estate UA-camrs.
Prices in these areas can be at the top end of the price scale in Germany... and yet, you will be shocked, laugh and cry at the same time because of what is on offer when you see the houses and apartments from an American perspective ;)
(some points should be mentioned:
- the truly wealthy in this country find it very difficult to display their wealth in this way because their wealth is often resented
- most Germans who build or buy a home want to live in that home for a very long time)
To be fair Arvin re: backyard… remember Enes showed a complete shower area for a dog, followed by a small fenced in area.
I agree that was a dog run, obviously. The dog was wash was right there as well
The empty grass circle in the motor court should have a fountain or a sculpture in it. It looks bad empty.
You can see the manhole cover for service! Hide that!
It looks like the place was just freshly cleaned up, but what does it look like without constant maintenance probably dang near every day LMAO

yeah this guy has me hooked now as well, and as a Master Electrician, these aren't usually my vibe. Hes good.
Not to mention that it is in the middle of nowhere 😂
People with money would be there for a week, then say "this sucks" and leave forever.

Jus say'n.

Unfortunately no kitchen niches in the bedrooms, so they would also have to cook for themselves.
Especially as there's no elevator. Poor you if the laundry was far off on another level.
Nobody is ever going to live in this house 😂
You mean this was built as an AirbandB? Well, maybe you are right.
I would gladly trade half that house in to just pay someone to do my laundry.
The interior of that house gave me a funeral home vibe.
Bonus points for that Beetlejuice attic.

This home finally SOLD for only $9.5 million on 11/17/2021. They should’ve hired Arvin so they could get the most money out of it.
Thanks for adding value jamie
@@ArvinHaddadOfficial i’m always here for you, brother
I'm a total amateur, but after watching so many vids of mansions asking in the tens of millions and more, even $12 million seems like it would have sold at a great loss.
@@dennischiapello7243They paid too much for it. This place is worthless.
Yeah they are going to have a hard time finding someone this place will work for
BTW, This mansion finally sold after at least 3 years of $9.5M. I can't imagine the cost of running this place. All those gas fireplaces, stoves and ovens? Propane! Can you even imagine how much Propane has to be delivered to this remote area? Even the underfloor heating is propane.
It will probably be turned into some sort of resort or hotel. It is not a home.
@@Tugela60Probably not zoned for it, especially as it resides in a gated community
I wonder where they will find staff
Using propane sounds like they’re not connected to the electric grid. Does that mean they also don’t have natural gas, a cable connection, a landline? Are they also on well water and a septic tank? How sketchy is cell phone connectivity way out there? So many questions…
@tedjohnson64 They are out in the sticks, there are no utilities. Propane has a higher energy output than natural gas, and is easier to store and transport. Which is important when you are living off the grid.
Enes. Never put a zero at the front of a lot size measurement. Gives away the party in the back. 😂🇬🇧
so glad you reviewed this! i think the builders ran out of money to finish the home properly, the exterior is well done and beautiful but the inside is finished like any run of the mill $1-2m dollar home in any suburb in the USA 🤣
Ya it screams… I ran out of money
It's more a Chateau than a Castle. As an architet you should know 😊
@@Silvina46 a Chateu is literally a french castle, this is not a castle nor is it french, so it does not qualify as a chateu.
Another architect here: agree with you 100%. Also, the complete lack of ceiling trim and crown moulding make all of the interiors feel like a Holiday Inn
The French make a diference between chateau-fort and chateau de plaissance. But they are both chateaux.
Tell us what happened to Mikey! Come on :)

@@ArvinHaddadOfficial it's been a pleasure to watch you in action. You're sense of comedy is right up my alley yet truly informative.
@17:55 A steam oven is used for baking bread!
I assume it's needed because they will not find a boulangerie nereby 😂
Hey there, I love that you got the judder issue fixed, I'm also loving the transitions where the round frame where you talk from gets larger in the picture, overall nice increase in production quality, I'm loving to see it.
Thanks so much!!
6:09 its COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY OUT as a "chateau". Over the 4 levels, its got 4 completely different styles of windows.
Spot on
I agree, just to much negativity and makes me think Arvin really really hates Enes 😂😂😂
Something happened there.
nah the interior is incredibly ugly and incoherent
This was always my favorite house of enis, but I could really feel the tension between him and Mikey even then. Very rude to mikey, actually, and you could tell Mikey was trying very hard. But I still love this house.
Do you know why there was tension? I don't watch their videos
Is Mikey still working for him
"Why would you assume I like that?"
They also started arguing about the steam oven. You're right, this never happened in their earlier videos.
In one of the earlier videos ( Calabasa House?), Enes mentions Mikey and writes 'our channel' but I guess as the channel blew up it became 'my channel'.
“Tension”🙄
This ain’t no Biltmore. Nor that ski lodge in Banff lol. This is pure hubris and display of an ego gone wildly above anyone else’s grounded valuations lol. These are the times I do say another prayer that Enes truly loves the audacity of the sellers, and sheer theatre of it all. Amen. 🇬🇧
A drywall castle. How exciting. Someone wake me up.
Legend! Do some Serhant or producer Michael videos. So much bs in those
@@sdmit2000 I can't stand to watch producer Michael, even to critique his videos.
@@stanlee3619I have to agree … at least Enes videos are well produced … I can’t get myself to watch those guys let alone critique them
Many places in Colorado, like this one, don't have an appropriate place for a yard.
Looking at Toronto prices this Castle is a steal at 12 million...
You say what I always think when I watch high value home videos. I would be much more comfortable touring mansions with you. Your eye for practical purposes is spot on.
“It’s just not cohesive “. AMEN ARVIN! That says it all
i actually seen enes video on the castle so many times i love this house especially thats it like off grid and all that land full complete privacy if i had more than 12 million dollars i would actually buy this house no cap

Who cares what happened to Mikey.
@@Tugela60I do! And so do lots of others. Have you seen the comments on each video Enes puts out?
This property gives me The Shinning vibes
Thanks Arvin! I love how fast these reacts are coming out!
For 12 mil. Compared to other places I’ve seen with similar pricing, This look amazing

Spot on
This one is interesting.
I agree, the chandeliers would fit the outside chateau style. Just the other things do not fit and sometimes look cheap. The Windows are a no go.
A castle, but there's no cellar for you wine😂😂
There is an absurd over usage of the chandeliers. . it looks like a chandelier lighting showroom again, it's tacky
I agree
I love your channel bro, it's legit my favorite at the moment! Keep it up!
No curtains or blinds on any windows.
