I enjoy this channel because of how personal you make it. I understand how being able to keep plants alive reflects your mental state. Before I had my daughter, I had about 35 plants. I kind of looked down on people who couldn’t keep a plant alive because my plants never died. After I had my daughter, my attention was taken away from my plants and they all died. I couldn’t keep them alive even when I felt like I was really trying. Now I understand how easy it is to get distracted and kill a plant accidentally. I am only able to keep 7 plants alive now. Thanks for the video!

Great to have you back. Sometimes we need to protect our energy. Looking after your physical & mental well-being should always be paramount. I hope the break and holiday has re-enthused you. Having house plants is a journey. I have 55-60 & sometimes it feels like too much when you work full time. I recently had a bout of fungus gnats & trying to control that was stressful. But then we have those days when everything looks great & you remember why plants are so important in your space. Getting the balance right between everything we do in life is important. Loving your new hair cut. It’s a dramatic change after such long hair. The new look is great & definitely suits you. Looking forward to seeing more of your “re-branded” channel & your plant journey. 🙏🏻

I was wondering where you were at. Missing your videos. But I understand. Your haircut looks real nice. I hope your plants that have issues recover. We plant lovers all go through something with our plants at one time or another, so good luck with that. And welcome back!!

At times it is hard to balance plants and life. Especially when you need to leave them. But I enjoy your plant videos and have learned a lot. A couple of months ago I had to move in with my daughter temporarily and she had about 45 plants.
Well my 110 plants had to be squished in and I’ve lost about 23. And the majority were my more delicate ones like my pitcher plant, calatheas, succulents, Just due to lighting, and this crazy heat we’ve had. But plants go through stress just like people and they thrive the best they can with what they have. And when they start having problems don’t think of it as a failure. Like my daughter said any ones that die we can always buy another one. But keep up the good work! And 💜💜💜 the new hair.

@@SuchPlants Me too🪴 But so far the best reward has been keeping them alive for a long time. .I have a spider plant my oldest daughter gave me in elementary school, it is now 23 years old. And a philodendron that was given to me over twenty years ago ♥️ But I wish you great luck growing your plants in to the future !

Hello, 1st of all Welcome back, I truly missed seeing u & secondly loving the haircut waaay more then the long hair ( frame the handsomeness) My daughter is always telling me I should start a youtube channel because my plants r so beautiful, green & healthy. Nope ! I tell her I hear too many youtubers say its alot of work & they also need a break & some I just never see anymore. I have 39 plants , luv them but honestly if any cause me stress , it has to go. Take care of ur mental health & everything else will fall into place. Ur fabulous vacation was definitely a great addition. Thank U for sharing ur journey that will also help others.

Thank you Dorothy! You are sharing some very wise words with your daughter 😂 There have been many days where I could’ve made a video from the simple maintenance of my plants, but the thought of setting up and editing the video was overwhelming at times. But then I remember how encouraging we all are to each other and I forget that it makes all the hard work worth it in the end. 😊

    1. You don't have to make videos. Of course we love it when you do but it's ok if you don't. You owe us nothing.
    2. Plants are just plants. They are not a reflection of you as a person. Yes, they can be therapeutic but at the end of the day they are just plants. I've yet to see an epitaph state, "he was a wonderful, son, brother, partner, friend and plant killer". Let it go!
    3. Edit less, simple as that. This isn't a theatre ready production. It's a plant friend sharing some knowledge and insight. No one is looking for perfection.
    Finally.....
    4. Your wellbeing is more important than UA-cam video. Fit the videos into your schedule, not the other way around. If you don't feel like making one, don't! This isn't your full time job. Be kind to yourself. That's something we all need to do a little more. 🌻

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼You couldn’t have said it better! Thank you! I do view this platform as a way to share some knowledge with the plant community. The extra income is what drives me to make quality videos for my audience because that’s something I value as well. But thank you for understanding that I am also a human being haha. I appreciate your comment! ☺️

Killed plenty of strings of pearls, dolphins and bananas. They all either turned mushy or super dry. I even stuck a meter in it. Then i put it outside and leave it alone. It actually bounced back then when I'm about to feel happy it died. Found ants in the soil. Need to recover before my next attempt 🥲
