I can't believe how long that Grandmother Albo growth is, wow. The finished pot up looks fab. I have had dealings with soil mites and the only thing that works against them in my experience is either sulphur powder or sulphur spray. One of the biggest contributors to soil mites is bark so when purchasing bark you need to look for sterilised bark or horticultural bark as this would already have been treated. Also many hydroponic soils are clean soils and I prefer to use these as I have never had an issue with pests. I hope this helps you. BTW this is the first video of yours that has popped up on my feed for ages even though I'm a subscriber so was surprised to see your new haircut...I like it.

I’ve read that soil mites are mostly attracted to woody material so it makes sense that the culprit could be the bark. I am gonna look into sulfur treatment. Thank you! 😁

It is so satisfying to see all those roots getting untangled and trimmed. I don't have that kind of patience. Feel like i'd chop it half as it is. The end result is so bushy, really pretty. I can't keep one alive so I'll just admire other ppl's😅

When you bring in potting soil put it into a bin and add boiling water to the soil until it forms into a loose ball.
The rusted gardener has videos on the process its to kill any insects in the soil

How do you keep the leaves on your birkin from rotting away??? The Birkin that I bought is literally bald.

In my case, they like a chunky soil mix with good aeration, allowing to dry in between watering, and also good humidity. And of course, bright indirect light!
