First flight of 2022: Orbits Schiphol & Amsterdam | Tecnam Sierra P2002-JF

After six weeks of bad weather and no luck at all in scheduling a flight on a day with acceptable conditions... FINALLY some luck this winter! Together with Frederick, we briefed for a simple flight around the EHAM CTR... Well, so he thought. I wanted to surprise him mid flight, so without him knowing I had secretly prepared a request in advance: to cross the CTR, for orbits around the Schiphol main tower and thereafter a little bit of sightseeing above the city of Amsterdam. What an awesome flight to start 2022 !!!

Mooie video weer van een unieke vlucht! Gaaf hoor dat ze zo meewerken bij LVNL! Voor mijn nieuwsgierigheid: vermeld je in de flightplan dat je orbits wil doen?

Thanks, was inderdaad een unieke vlucht. Op het flightplan kun je daarvoor de RMK functie gebruiken. Even vooraf bellen en informeren is ook professioneel. Als je het besluit te doen, bereid je dan ook echt heel goed voor, zorg dat je alle ins en outs van de CTR en procedures hebt bestudeerd. Zorg dat je RT top notch is en wees klaar voor het onverwachte. Het is niet een plek om "ff" langs te gaan, wees eerlijk of het wel veilig kan. Hope this helps! :)
