Between the two, I lean towards "A-Mashoff"
Track AND Field?! Whoa settle down now
Both! I can't be stopped!
🤣🤣🤣
Have a good rest of your day
Wow that's a HUGE leap (get it) in graphics and presentation from T&F I to II.
Lol I get it
don't forget the dreamcast one in
3d.
hated that one.
I remember mastering all the events on track & field...and using an NES Advantage for the button mashing events. Core memories for sure.
Hi
Thanks im a subscriber.
Question please :
Cam these games be played with the Power Pad ?
Thanks.
Anybody knowledgeable please reply soon
@@smerk429Nope. There is a track & field game specific for the power pad, but neither of these work for it
@@freddyvidz ok thank you
The NES Advantage made Track and Field II so much easier
I had one and never thought to try it
Something odd I didn't notice as a kid in 1989: "Hurdles" is not "Hurdles". There's water after the hurdle, so the event is "Steeplechase". The English game says "Hurdles"; I wonder if the original Japanese text is the same.
Yeah I should've mentioned that! Not sure about the Japanese text.
That intro to the sequel might be long but the music slaps so hard
Thanks Trav!! Been listening to you and Alex for quite some time now! Great content! Track and Field II was in my rotation a bunch when I was about 8 yrs old. Gotta love how even the music is great on this title! My favorite event is canoeing and if you know which order to go you can get some really fast times! Too bad you didn’t get the pistol shooting cuz that is fun for sure! Thanks again and have a good day ! Can’t wait for the 1993 and 1994 episodes on DF !
Thank you! That's awesome to hear

That was a sweet Konami commercial. Great video once again NES F
"but the game has no spinach" LOL thanks for the clarification!!!! 😀
I knew ppl would ask!
I had no idea Rober Stack was a skeet shooting champion.
I only got the first one a few years ago but I grew up playing Track and Field II and absolutely love it. The only event that still gives me trouble is the horizontal bar. After all this time, I'm still really not sure what I do to barely squeak out a victory.
You've just got undeniable talent my man. Embrace it!

I've think we all have been pole in the dirt before bro🤣🤣🤣🤣
One thing I think is interesting here is the fact they used both cartoony and realistic graphics in these games. Games at the end of the NES still had cartoony along with realistic, so it caters to both sides. Fun video.
Also, the pistol shooting on 2 looks almost 16 bit in its presentation. Impressive.
I'm always here for the old games with countries that no longer exist, like USSR and West Germany.
Happy Wednesday everyone! It is almost time for football
I remember the thumb pain from trying to win the 100m sprint. Mash for dear life!
track & field's soul rest in Mario
& sonic Olympic games.
The secret was a nes max or turbo controller with the circle motion 💯
I don’t smash A. I brake out my NES advantage.

But what about running AND jumping...WITH A POLE!
A great mid week treat!
Me and my brother played T&F2 Sooo dang much. Especially fencing and arm wrestling, ofc.
Imagine a QWOP port for the NES, I'm not sure how possible that would be, but it would be hilarious XD
What is this “Mash A” business? I had the NES Advantage!
Ohhh guys look, A RICH KID! GET HIM!
@@NESFriend Hahaha!! The upper 1% of NES
Man, these games look wayyy better than the *World Class Track Meet* that I was stuck growing up with (though to be fair, the Power Pad definitely feels like it is the right way to play any of the button mashing running games).
That being said, I mainly remember cheesing the long jumps by hopping off of the mat and then quickly back on for WCTM.
I can understand why anyone would hold the T&F games in high regard now (Tae Kwon Do, archery, and clay shooting are nowhere to be found in WCTM), but even so you can't knock the giggly novelty of playing pass-it-around Caveman Games at a party. Gotta give that game credit where it does earn it.
Agree with all that

No don't think so
@@NESFriend ok thank you
Pistol shoot uses the zapper
This is hilarious, your video came out the same day as Jeremy Parish's. What a bizarre coincidence. I now feel like I'm a track and field expert.
Man, c'mon Parrish! Consult my schedule!
T&F2 is an all-timer for me, though it didn’t achieve that status until I got an Advantage stick and could turbo and rotate my way to gold.

@@NESFriend lol heck yeah 👍🏽
you want a worse one try the 3d version.
Didn’t even realize there WAS a Track and Field 2 🤣
my cousins use to have it years ago.
also there was a dreamcast version
as well.
they went all out on the sequel.
Track & Field II, the only game that I've beaten as a kid (with a regular controller) and can't beat now.
The bonus games were fun, especially hang gliding.
Horizontal Bar was really tough to beat.
track & field 3 nobody never talks
about.
it was on dreamcast an it was hard.
blades of steel even had the hockey
fights?wow.
I liked the part at 6:06 where the text got really big over and over again
I knew you'd love it!
@@NESFriend It's silly, but it really did make me laugh out loud
The presentation on TF2 is amazing. It draws you in. The game not so much
Can i play these 2 games using only an ordinary nes controller?
Minigame collections like this have never really been my jam (and I feel like it would make my hand hurt after a while xD) but there was actually a DS sequel to this that had Sparkster (from Rocket Knight Adventures) Pyramid Head and Simon Belmont as playable characters
I havnt playedthese games yet but I have a question. Why do you have to mash the A button if thers the turbo A button?
Skeet?
Right now?
@@NESFriend 😂 the best possible response.
Oww... Skeet skeet.
I always used the NES advantage and I still sucked.
T&F II is better in every way and is quite impressive looking for a NES game but it's missing my favorite event. Javelin Throwing. So because of that I favor the original T&F.
the worst one was when it was on
dreamcast in 3d.
blisters.

No, I do not believe so.
