Buddy was pretty restrained here, i guess trying to keep a mild percussion rhythm going with the other instruments. Hef was with the beautiful Barbie Benton at this time, remember the Playboy After Dark show well.

That's when you know buddy' wasn't a LATIN drummer...no language only technique....i had already notices that on various latin rythmes he tried to interprète. If only Bud would have gone to Cuba !!!

I dislike drum solos and bass solos. I feel they are not meant to be solo instruments.
