This weekend the boat ramp saw alot of traffic which usually slows the craziness down some. Needless to say thingsgo interesting when a boat hit another one .

Slow is always pro. Light touch on the throttle and bit by bit adjustments on the helm. Docking equipment is ready before you approach the dock. If you can't step onto the dock, your captain has a driving problem.

Been enjoying your videos this past week, Alfred. I've sailed to more docks than I've motored to, but knew perfectly well what you meant by "whiskey throttle" the first time I heard you use the term. Best policy is to stay in idle & use the GEAR SHIFT ONLY when docking...or always dock upwind in a sailboat, if you can arrange it. -Angelika's Husband

47 Freeman's are fairly wet due to how far back the consle sits, the 42 is dryer ride when chit gets real bad.
Why do you call them "Side Dockers" when they seem to be stopped at the end of a dock... isn't "Side Docking" when a boats side is next to a dock side? ;-D

Life Jacket Regulations Reminder
All vessels are required to have onboard a wearable U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket or PFD for each person. The life jackets must be:
The appropriate size for the intended wearer
In serviceable condition
Within easy access
Anyone operating, riding on, or being towed behind a personal watercraft must wear an approved life jacket or PFD. Inflatable PFDs are prohibited for personal watercraft use.
No one may water ski or use another aquaplaning device unless they are wearing a USCG-approved life jacket or PFD. Inflatable PFDs are prohibited for skiing/aquaplaning.
A child under the age of six must wear a USCG-approved Type I, II or III personal flotation device while onboard a vessel under 26 feet in length while the vessel is underway.

No, it’s not the cabin. Well, he’s already at the dock. It’s the guy docking. He should be paying attention like I said he should’ve told his people to sit down. We would’ve been able to steer easier when people are moving around. You lose your steering.
