The night before my wedding in 2014, I sat alone in a quiet apartment; barely a month away from my first combat deployment and facing the imminent future of becoming a husband and partner to the most beautiful woman I have ever known... I had this overwhelming sense of being in over my head. My dad passed away in a car wreck when I was 9. My brothers had all been away from home for many years... I had no idea what a husband should be... let alone a husband that was about to be sent away to a combat zone. I started praying the words of this song, and it brought me a little peace. At my wedding reception I asked my wife to dance with me to this song. Nearly every day in AFG, those lyrics were my prayer. Both to be lead out of that horrible place, and to be lead when I returned home. I am now on second deployment, nearly done after a year away from home. My dad was in the Navy when I was a kid and was out to sea for 6 months at a time. It was hard on all of us. Finally, he stood up and said "Enough" and left the Navy to be there for his family. It took me running away to join the Army to get him to seriously reconsider his life. He found God now and has been a much better man ever since.

How could there possibly be any dislikes on this video.. This was beautiful. What an amazing man, not only the way he has chosen to fight for his marriage & his children but to admit & bring it to God that he needed His help. Theres a comment on here that says thats ALL a girl could ask for & that is so true. My boyfriend is the same exact way & I couldnt trust him anymore with the spiritual leading of our life together!

I heard this song pulling up in my driveway in 2016 2017 I started balling hard. My marriage ended in 2020 from divorce. I left sad but true but this song still gives me hope to stay strong for my daughters

Jason Denson I think that you should fast and pray. I would recommend watching joy blair UA-cam channel. I hope that you and your wife can work it out. Prayer need to go with fasting for God to work his magic. And you don't have to do a complete water fast you can do a Daniel fast. I hope that you do what it takes to allow God to work a miracle for your marriage. And remember fasting is private between you and God. He say he will reward you in secret (verbatim) .

I heard this song for the first time on the radio the other day and it near instantly brought tears to my eyes. This song hits home closely for me. My wife and I have been married for 2 years, wrapping up 3 now and the first 2 years were the happiest of my life. I got caught up in chasing dreams.. I have been a firefighter for 6 years now and chose to chase a Paramedic education on top of working 2 jobs. Needless to say I havent been at home leading my wife and our family like I should have.

This song is so special to me unfortunately Im going through a divorce, I was so close to GOD and now I feel that I fail him and I feel ashamed. My relationship with my wife was not the best and went trough serious problems like unfaithfulness in the 2 years that we were married,I forgive the unfaithfulness but is always on my mind..
This song has helped my husband and through a really rough couple of years. He has been my anchor for 41 years. It is not easy when you have a four year old grandson who was almost a daily part of your life die in a tragic accident and a 15 year old granddaughter try and commit suicide and court problems with neighbors and issues with family who are so worldly. My husband is strong for me and I stand by him. I thank God for him and this song depicts our life together for 41 years.

This is a pretty emotional song for me because well my parents didn't have that relationship. My dad didn't fufil his duty and my mom didn't tell my dad what was wrong. Now they are seperated and it's effecting my whole life. It's been a year and a half since they split and this song just reminds me of what my life was before the split in a beautiful, wonderful way.

Our Family has struggled because of my decisions in the things that I allowed to "lead me". I've really had to make a gut/heart check and decide what I want. I have been away from my wife and kids since last Thursday and every minute has been lonely for me and for them i'm sure. I see them everyday and my wife is supporting me in my quest for greatness for myself so that when I enter back into our home I can be the husband/daddy that "LEADS THEM", I can and I will. I am dealing with possible divorce from our issues we've had in our marriage. I haven't been the best husband and haven't been leading my family through god and was so blind to notice what was really going on and what I wasn't doing. I have been praying and cried out for God to come back into my life and he did. He has opened my eyes. My dad was in the Navy when I was a kid and was out to sea for 6 months at a time. It was hard on all of us. Finally, he stood up and said "Enough" and left the Navy to be there for his family. However, he wasn't a believer of the LORD and became very angry all the time, to the point where my mother had considered leaving him several times. It took me running away to join the Army to get him to seriously reconsider his life. He found God now and has been a much better man ever since.
