Welcome to the Foxhole and BabyMetal's metalverse 🦊🤘🌐
Lucky us you didn't watch "Babymetal Death" live at Legend 1997 or "Headbanger!!" live at Legend Metal Galaxy 2020, otherwise you wouldn't have a doubt that we're -NotACult- 👀
Glad to see more reactors getting into this amazing group.
BabyMetal is a Japanese metal dance unit created in 2010 under another Jpop/Jrock group called Sakura Gakuin, they had 11 and 12 years old when started this and become independent after 2013, they created their own genre called kawaii-metal mixing Jpop with metal sound and different subgenres along with many more rhythms. Their name is a reference to a new genre and not related to their ages or "baby" faces, is a pun intended play words with "heavy-metal" which sounds similar to "baby-metal".
    They are:
    *SuMetal* lead vocalist, now 25.
*MoaMetal* scream and dance, now 24.
*MomoMetal* scream and dance, she's 20 and is the new official member since April 1st recently.
*YuiMetal* scream and dance, former member since 2018.
    None of them are related.
After 2018 you'll see backup dancers performing along with them but none of them are official members, they don't sing, only dance, but that status change recently like i said. Just to be clear, they started as a trio, later when one of them left becomes a duo with backup dancers and now they're back to the trio formation with a new member, there's certain live songs during this year along with another group of young girls part of this new Metalverse project released recently with new songs, but they work like a side project (part of the world of BabyMetal) and they even do covers of classic BM songs, it's like an extension of this kawaii metal music they want to push.
METALIZM is another song with that typical wtf effect they get us used to it.
SuMetal is narrating us a King's tale of the Metal Kingdom with this psytrance mixed with middle eastern, Arabian or whatever sound that looks so cool with the unique blend of BM.
This was at BabyMetal Begins - The Other One - Clear Night live at PIA Arena MM, Yokohama, last April 2nd with the already new official member MomoMetal, she was one of the avengers since 2019 and coming from the same roots in Sakura Gakuin just like the girls. The Western Kami Band was performing there but this MV got album studio sound so there's no particular credits for the instruments only the composer and lyrics. The Western Kami Band was in charge of these concerts and all of them after that at live tour. The Eastern Kami Band are all Japanese session musicians you'll meet them performing regularly after 2014 live shows clips.
Some fans at Sabaton's Europe Tour and recently at Asian and Australian Tour were enjoying this song live, but everyone is having a blast with the new singles and classic BM songs.
Next suggestion to meet early BM era songs:
    - Headbanger!! live at Legend 1997, Gans Tomas got that clip safe to react under "Head Bangya" title.
Some BM songs are super catchy so keep practicing and having fun with "zumu zumu" until another song, the fun won't stop, trust me.
Thanks for sharing this and see you next time 🦊🤘🔥

Here's the list of live performance clips usually safe to reacts without any filters so you won't need to rely on live compilations, there might be some exceptions:
      - Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! live at Legend 1997, SuMetal 16th Birthday in 2013, they got MV of this and is fun, but live is a blast.
      ua-cam.com/video/LNFiDWJh2FA/v-deo.html
      - Akatsuki, live at Budokan 2014, this is a SuMetal solo.
      ua-cam.com/video/g2372C5PJLM/v-deo.html
      - Megitsune, official MV is my first recommendation but is usually blocked if you don't put filters, so if you want live and safe to react, check it out Budokan 2014.
      ua-cam.com/video/dU38CYkpBvI/v-deo.html
      - Akatsuki Unfinished Version, SuMetal solo again but with only a piano behind special performance at Legend 1997.
      ua-cam.com/video/nwsinmxTxbo/v-deo.html
      - Babymetal Death, live at Legend 1997, this is the big finale, you're gonna blow your mind with this one.
      ua-cam.com/video/jRc9dbgiBPI/v-deo.html
      - Catch Me If You Can with Kami Band intro live at Budokan 2014.
      ua-cam.com/video/ng8U_j0gpLI/v-deo.html
      - Ijime, Dame, Zettai live at Sonisphere Festival 2014, sometimes the official live MV isn't so friendly so you know what to do.
      ua-cam.com/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/v-deo.html
      - Rondo Of Nightmare, with Mischiefs Of Metal Gods Intro live at Budokan 2014, another SuMetal solo but way different than usual happy songs.
      ua-cam.com/video/8WBDiLMNZcE/v-deo.html
      - Doki Doki Morning, official MV, their very first song and MV full of kawaiiness, usually is safe to react so try it, if you want a live performance, this is the first proshot version with the Kami Band live at Legend 1999 (YuiMetal and MoaMetal 14th birthday).
      ua-cam.com/video/BSjv9OYtWZ0/v-deo.html
      - Uki Uki Midnight, this one is a follow up to Doki Doki Morning but way different sound, this is the PV, is super fun but the sound isn't so great but at least is live.
      ua-cam.com/video/Yj-UQIlqsIQ/v-deo.html
If you want better sound with the Kami Band, then live at Budokan 2014 it is.
      ua-cam.com/video/ESzY9dL613Q/v-deo.html
      - Onedari Daisakusen, live at Legend 1997, this is a Black Babymetal song, is a subgroup with only YuiMetal and MoaMetal.
      ua-cam.com/video/1dT1ywYR5So/v-deo.html
      - Iine! again official MV hits way better but if you want live, here live at Budokan 2014.
      ua-cam.com/video/5sCvYVNeD0w/v-deo.html
      - Karate live at Download Festival 2016, "kitsune6001" got this with a short interview intro.
      ua-cam.com/video/FKOL6v3Md2c/v-deo.html
      - Road Of Resistance live in Japan official, this one is easily to find but be careful with the blocked by putting some filters just in case.
      - Kimi To Anime Ga Mitai - Answer For Animation With You, live at Budokan 2014, not sure if it's still safe, so try some filters, if is audio blocked try to mute or just cut the parts.
      ua-cam.com/video/M8FKumvh-w8/v-deo.html
Here's a song you can find at Babymetal Reactor Resource (BMRR), a helpful place to get watermarked logo clips of the original live version to curve the annoying algo.
      - GJ! live at Wembley Arena 2016, another Black Babymetal song.
      ua-cam.com/video/Hg0Rylcg8F0/v-deo.html
This is BMRR short vid to follow instructions and get the spreadsheet with the full list.
      ua-cam.com/video/q40VmTHSh4c/v-deo.html
And here's a BM guide (the long one).
      ua-cam.com/video/gDne0xwniTg/v-deo.html
There's a more recent beginners guide at "Briaghh" called "So... What is BabyMetal?" is more short and with some fair update until this year unlike the other one.🦊🤘

Great first reaction and welcome to the BABYMETAL Foxhole🦊 "METALIZMIZUMIZUMU" - great song - Middle Eastern/Egyptian/Arabian (or similar) trance metal at its best.🤘🦊🤘(not trying to entice anybody into a cult ... not yet at least, there is plenty of time for that 🤫🙅‍♀💁‍♂💁‍♀🙅‍♂).
Yes there are just the three of them - Su-metal is the lead vocalist, Moametal and Momometal provide backing vocals, harmonies and lead the crowd in chants and giving the crowd their cues to jump, join in the dancing and so on with their choreo.
Momometal was revealed as the new third member at the concerts where this video was filmed on 1st and 2nd April this year. The original third member, Yuimetal, last appeared in October 2017 and left the band 12 months late because of an ongoing health issue. Su and Moa continued as a duo for the next 4-5 years supported in live shows by any one of three dancers. Momoko (Momometal) was the last remaining of those 3 dancers, so now she has a mic and sings as well.
You have a lot more of their songs and live performances to discover (12 or 13 years worth since they started in 2010 when Su was 12, Yui and Moa were both 11) and you have some great suggestions in the comments already.

This is arguably the best song (I like to think of it as "Shanti Shanti Shanti 2.0" - another BABYMETAL song) on BABYMETAL's latest album "The Other One" but, in my opinion, this isn't the best song BABYMETAL has. BABYMETAL has been around for a bit over twelve years now (they started when their lead singer - known as Su-metal - was about thirteen, and the two "cheerleaders" - Moametal and Yuimetal - were both around twelve. Unfortunately, Yui left the band in 2018, and only earlier this year was Momometal named a member of the group.
BABYMETAL started a brand new genre of music ("kawaii metal" - cute metal), and they cannot be pigeon-holed - they are almost always thinking and moving outside box; they made metal FUN! They have, to date, four studio albums, and have been on a number of world tours. It is common knowledge among their devoted fans (known as "The One") that BABYMETAL is best served live, but they do have several music videos that are real works of art. If you have a notion to check out more BABYMETAL, I suggest you go back to the beginning, and react to their first two music videos, "Doki Doki Morning" and "Iine!" (pronounced "E-nay"). I'm sure you will find both very entertaining. There is a playlist on UA-cam ("BABYMETAL Top Twenty") that includes those two songs.
To be honest, I can't wait to see you guys' reaction to 'BABYMETAL Death", the Legend 1997 Apocalypse version (it's on that playlist). I try to let people know before watching that version two things: first, it's all about theatrics; second, NOT A CULT! 😂 But I strongly advise you to go down that playlist before getting to that one.
Enjoy your trip down the BABYMETAL foxhole! (You're in for a wild ride!!!)
    KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘

Metalizm is a great song, but kind of atypical from what Babymetal does most of the time. You should definitely check out some more of their songs because their repertoire is pretty varied even though they are a metal band at heart.
This performance does however give a great look at what a big Babymetal headline show in Japan is like. It was filmed at Babymetal Begins - The Other One: Clear Night at PIA Arena MM in Yokohama on April 2nd this year and I was at the concert, and it looked pretty much just like this live in the arena.

Nice reaction, thanks and welcome to BABYMETAL.
No, the visuals on this music video are not trying to get you into a cult. We will reach to that point later. 🤣
"METALIZM" is probably the craziest song and the most different from everything off their new album, The Other ONE.
It's a combination of psychedelic trance and metal, and uses a kind of the minor harmonic scale which gives the song that Middle Eastern flavor.
Yes, BABYMETAL is formed by three ladies: Suzuka Nakamoto (the lead singer), Moa Kikuchi and Momoko Okazaki, both in charge of backing vocals and dance.
For now, you need to know that they are very diverse musically as they don't hesitate on mixing any music genre with metal.
This is a really good early performance (from Dec. 2013): "Headbanger" (Live at Legend 1997): ua-cam.com/video/QEsOaMbNFww/v-deo.html
    Until next time!

Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 Metalizm was premiered in the two-day shows on April 1/2 and I witnessed the both at the venue😍. Western (American) Kami Band did a great job in those shows. I believe they will play this song in their North American (US + Canada) tour starting Aug.30 (30 gigs). You may have noticed the repetitive phrase "Zumu Zumu". It is interesting, because it reminds me of another phrase with tonal similarity "Muzu Muzu". When you feel itchy or tickling or a kind of slight frustration, Japanese people express it using this phrase "Muzu Muzu".
In an interview, Su-Metal, the lead singer, referred to this song with Arabic flavor as "a new drawer of BABYMETAL" [source : magazine PMC vol. 27, page 41]. I viewed this choreo on stage by Su, Moa and Momo as mixture of seriousness, playfulness, comicalness, therefore amazingness on top of Su's fantastic vocals and intricate guitar phrases and hefty drumming by West Kamis. The new drawer is a tribute to newly born BABYMETAL. Just so you know, I did the moves imitating the girls' choreo, too 🤣.

Their singer, Suzuka Nakamoto a.k.a. Su-metal, was sacrificed during a concert for her 16th birthday in order for her to be reborn as a metal goddess. The song they were playing is called Babymetal Death and it was at the Legend 1997 concert. I will leave it up to you to decide if it's a cult or not. In all seriousness, yes that happened, but Babymetal is the happiest place you can find in the metal genre. Totally unique and awesome. 🦊🤘

Great first reaction! 🤘🦊🤘 Thank you for giving BABYMETAL a chance!!! BABYMETAL is a Japanese kawaii (cute) metal group (a metal subgenre that they created) that formed in 2010 when the original 3 girls were 11-12 years old (yes, they were very young), and since then have performed with, toured with, or opened for Metallica, Korn, Sabaton, Bring Me The Horizon, Dragonforce, Guns N' Roses, Lady Gaga, Rob Halford of Judas Priest (there's a great youtube video of their performance with Rob at a metal award show), and Red Hot Chili Peppers (there is a youtube video of them performing Gimme Chocolate with RHCP, as well as with Korn, and DragonForce), to name a few of many. They have performed at large metal events/concerts in front of 65,000+ skeptical metalheads in Europe (Glastonbury, Download, Sonisphere, etc), US, and Asia. They are the first Japanese band to perform at Wembley arena in the UK. Also, 20+ awards have been given to them. They have 60+ songs and each one is different from the other, so I hope you give the other songs a try. By the way, they have some really great heavy songs too, and I hope you like guitar solos, as well as bass and drum solos, like I do, because they have them too. Also, they are currently on another world tour that includes many dates here in the USA, and released a new amazing album just a few months ago! 🤘🦊🤘

    👍 👍
BabyMetal began in 2010 there were Suzuka Nakamoto age 12 Moa Kikuchi and Yui Mizuno (Yui left in 2018 due to health reasons). Both Moa and Yui were 11 years old All three girls were friends and classmates who attended an idol school/group (Sakura Gakuin) founded in 2010 by Amuse Talent Agency for girls 10 to 15. Themed around school life (they attended regular school as well) the girls would learn and train at vocals, dancing, public speaking and etiquette, etc., graduate at age 15 and then move onto whatever entertainment path they chose or that suited their talents.
Key Kobayashi was a music producer for Amuse and heard Suzuka sing at age 9 and was impressed with her strong vocals and stage presence. Kobayashi was a fan of heavy metal but believed that the genre had become stale and tired (especially in Japan) with metal bands getting old Kobayashi believed the genre needed to be reborn (BabyMetal means the birth of a new metal genre). Kobayashi felt that Suzuka had the ability to front a metal band and that her vocals and presence could withstand the metal guitars and drums. The fusion of Jpop and Metal began. He placed Moa and Yui as backup singers/dancers and a phenomenon was about to result.
At first Amuse showed no interest and the girls had only financing from Kobayashi. They performed at strip malls and small venues using clothes borrowed from friends and family. No money for a real band they had friends dressed in homemade skeleton costumes pretending to play instruments to a backtrack. They became a sensation (these young ladies paid their dues). Amuse saw the potential and in 2012 hired the best session musicians Japan had to offer (The Kami Band) who tours with them today (now includes world class musicians from the USA for tours outside of Asia).
If you choose to explore more of BabyMetal I suggest reacting to LIVE performance videos as this is where they shine.
They have over 60 LIVE songs/performances and each one is different. They are fearless exploring many genres and have the respect of the legends of Metal such as Metallica, Slipknot, Rob Zombie, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Judas Priest and more.
Avoid Glastonbury LIVE performances as the sound production by the BBC (who was in charge of that festival did a terrible job - mics not turned on, incorrect volume levels, etc.)
Suggest reacting to these for a start.
