I appreciate that you often include a lighthearted critique of your own rambling, but I also hope that you know that’s one of my favourite parts of your channel. Your photos are great, you give great advice, you don’t take yourself too seriously, and you’re confident in yourself enough to share your internal dialogue with us. I think something like that is as valuable as anything else.
I also would really not hate it if this was the most liked comment on this video, but that is not the point of this comment. Love what you do James, thanks for sharing your time and energy with us.

Saal Digital, thank you. I'm based in Arizona so I'm not sure if Saal is a viable option for me.
James is high on my list of extant photographers, always great presentations and unique insights. If I were younger I'd sign up for a workshop with James. My mobility is age restricted, I've been advised that I wore out my foot. Too much physical use, wear & tear over many decades done during many different activities.
I'd love to hang that Amalfi Coast photo on my wall. I wish I'd captured that shot, I imagine others do as well. I do have some lovely images of Positano, but none that equal this compelling shot. My foregrounds are flowers, not street signs. Brilliant perspective and choice of foreground. Bravo!
I shoot Sony and I am looking forward to the Leica Q3 Monochrome as it will be a game changer for fine art photography.

I completely understand what you mean about getting the "great" shot early on in a trip...it can sometimes ruin the rest of the trip if nothing else lives up to that original great shot. But the worst is when you think you have a great shot and then when you look at it at home and turns out you actually don't like it! I have been working very hard on being intentional every time I go out to photograph, treating each trip out as it's own singular event. That has really helped me to focus and not fall into the trap. this is hardest when I have flown a significant distance to get to a place, or it is somewhere that I don't think I will be back to for a very long time....but I continue to try!

I'm willing to bet you made at least one or two folks think "Gee, am I like that? How do I relate to locations through the act of taking images, or after they've been taken?"
