Any other hidden features for the Cruze?
First year you can disable auto-start on the cruze, pervious owners had to get a tune kit for this feature
Just FYI, it isn't automatic, it is just on a time delay if you set it that way. There is no option for it to lock when you are so many feet away.
You can lock / unlock from the mychevrolet phone app.
Also if your key fob battery dies it has a key that comes out by pressing a button and pulling the top out. Then on the driver door, underneath the door handle is a hole you insert it in and pull forward it pops the cover off exposing the key hole you use to unlock and open the door.
There's different spots where you need to put the fob from different years and models and then you can start the car. Need to look up your car's manual to see where to put it. Fr some you place the fob in the front cup holder and others you have to open the cubby between the front seats and there's a spot to place the fob. Dunno if there's even more spots, but your not stuck just from a dead fob battery you just gotta lookup what to do for your car.
My 2019 cruse hatchback beeps at me when I’m putting air in my tires to let me know I’m at 35 psi. Found that pretty cool
The coolest hidden feature is when u hit the gas pedal and the throttle Doesn’t work and nearly kills you
Just got my Cruze a week ago and keep discovering features I never knew about. Love this car!
Yep! Sedans have the battery in the back! 💗 thank you for this I love the auto lock feature
Dope stuff man
Battery in trunk makes it super easy to power a sub amp - you don’t have to run a wire to the front of the car
That is a HUGE plus!
Thanks. And now I know what I'm going to do next in my car
Hey! Man thanks for the info!
Thanks for the video. I just learned I have a chevy bow tie on the hood liner. I've had my 2019 hatch for almost a year and didn't even know it was there.
When i realized I couldn't believe it lol
Just bought a 2019 with 7k miles. Thanks for the info.
No problem! congratulations on the car!!
Thinking of getting a 2018. Anything I need to look out for? Also are you still liking yours?
I have a 2016 sedan and the battery is in the rear as well. Its a unique car
Just got a 2017. Really didn't know these cars were a little hidden gem.
When I got my Chevy Cruze,,I had no idea where the battery was,,,someone needed a jump and I opened the hood,,and said I don't have one under here,,obviously I new it was somewhere,,had to look in the owners manual,,but very nice feature, guna see if the automatic lock is on mine,,that woukd be cool
I just bought my chevy cruze 18 sedan it's nice car with alot of features excellent car ...
Im from iraq 🇮🇶 😊 watching this video
Congratulations on the car!
Yep I have a 2016 cruze rs sedan and the battery is in the back aswell, perfect for sound systems 🤟👌
There is also a Chevy symbol in the tale lights . Fun car to drive I enjoy mine
Also on the headlights too
I love my 17 LT hatch. Just sucks i have no handbrake lol
Can I ask a question
When I turn on my heat I notice the A/C button turns on (lit yellow), but the car is blowing heat. If I press the a/c button again it turns green, then again, it turns off. Do I want it on during the winter? Or do I want the yellow light off ?
Green light means "eco AC" suppose to go into auto stop more to save gas. Yellow light is normal AC and wont go into auto stop as much
Bro. Awesome. I have 2 questions. At 2:13, there is a small valve that connects the intake to a hose that goes 2 the engine. I lost mine, where can i get it???
Also the hose that goes to the intake, the part you out the hose on, it broke. I need 2 replace. I might have 2 do a video so u can see
I would go the dealership and go to the parts office and show them a picture. They should be able to get the exact part because the car is newer so it is hard to find parts for it on the internet.
@@MRMILLENNIALOFFICIAL good looks bro!
Question? Do you know if the Cruze has a break?
I have a 2018 chevy cruze LT sedan and the battery is also located at the back of the car same as yours.
I love my 2017 it's fuckin smooth.
I have 2017 Chevy Cruze LS 6 speed manual and the battery is in the trunk/back of my car so amazing
Cool video. I have a 2018 Premier RS 4-door. I working on getting a hatchback now for my son. You also could of mentioned the headlights have the Chevy bow tie emblem on them too, super cool.
I forgot about that! You can never go wrong getting a cruze
Hey bro great vid, just got today a 2018 4door LT chevy cruze, and yes the battery is in the rear as well, sedan a very cool car, didn't have fogs but want to get some, take care, also a shock, there no transmission dip stick, w t f, lol
Thats crazy! Congratulations on the car!!
I added factory fog lights to my 2017 Cruze, makes it much nicer to drive at night!
@@dundonrl Care to elaborate the process?
@@PoweredByLS2 I bought OEM fog lights, took them and the car to the dealer, paid a couple hundred dollars and drove away with them installed.
@@dundonrl I see. How do you turn em on/off? Did they also install a switch where a blank nonfunctional fog button would go?
Swapped out the headlights and interior lights with leds. Looks way better
I love the Chevy Cruze I just wish they'd never discontinued it
Me too!
Cruze was cut for the same reason the Volt was cut,
The Suspension has issues Service Bulletin #: 16-NA-316, There's a couple more.
The engine had issues outside of 2-3.5K RPM range, Turbo was meh
The Auto Stop was intrusive, and causes engine wear.
Though I disabled it manually on mine, 2018+ had option to disable via button at every startup.
I have a 2017LT, and I just used the terminator wiring harness mod for $20 and 5 minutes to install.
An ECU upgrade and a few other mods can double your power and expand the RPM Power range from 2K t0 5K.
@@SkateZillaSimulations jeeezus man lol...all of these issues sound horrible! Hmm, well for me I'm around 44k miles on my 2017 premier RS hatchback and soon gonna need the big 50k mile service. I love this car and haven't experienced any trouble with it at all. It runs really great and is very quick. The only thing I do is all the regular oil changes, usually a bit early cuz of the extreme desert weather, and I don't mess around with batteries either I replace them like clockwork not giving them a chance to leave me stranded. I got the biggest interstate battery that fits the car, the MTX-48/H6.
@UnknownScorpion I'm not sayin I don't love my Cruz, I do, it's one of the best cars I've owned in a while, every car has its issues, recalls and service bulletins.
Even the Chevy Impala I owned before that was a great car, despite it's flaws (Airflow Actuators!).
The Main Nail in the Coffin for the Cruze, despite it's sales numbers and popularity was factory assembly line reduction,
Chevy cut a bunch of models to reduce assembly lines and workforce due to the pandemic and industry shift, and Volt/Cruze was expendable as they had the Impala and Malibu's still to full Full Size and Mid-Size Sedans, the Impala Line would Follow in 2021 as Discontinued as full size sedan sales declined more and EV/CrossOver SUVs rose, Leaving only the Malibu in the Sedan Lineup.
There are rumors of a new Volt in 2025, but there's no evidence other than social media hearsay.
The second hanger is for the non rs like mine (lt) where the Giant ass suitcase of a muffler hangs
The centre arm rest slides forward and back also!!!! 👍
Yes the sedan has the battery in the back also. I have 2018 Cruze Premier RS
Awesome, thank you for letting me know!
What muffler do u have?
I just stumbled to your clip and saw the auto lock feature. I followed your instruction but it didn’t work. Does anyone know what happened?
Me neither! Did you figure it out?
Remove the rear headrest, looks better, easier to see. I own 19' hatchback RS silver
2018 hatch lt , i never looked if the battery is in the back😅 but I shall look tomorrow morning!
It's a really cool feature!!
battery should be AGM :)
my 2015 LTZ RS has cream color leather seats with a sunroof 🤩I got lucky
Yes the battery is in the back in the sedan as well
Yep the battery is also the same way in the sedan
Just got and 18 turbo battery is in the trunck next in a flush mount position on the boday
Coolest thing about the Cruze, you can get it with a diesel and get better fuel economy than any other car sold in the last few years!
Not really, since the diesel was not a big seller and the car is now discontinued.
@@toyoscio Not the fault of the engine it didn't sell good, nor the car for being discontinued. Driving the diesel around, with the low end torque it's amazing how responsive it is.
@@dundonrl and makes teaching people how to drive manual transmission easier with the diesel torque less stalling. lol
I didn't know but there is a button for the trunk that's kinda hidden that I didn't know about either,,
I bought my wife 2017 Chevy Cruze LT and the battery is in the trunk by the spare tire four doors sedan
I have the same 2018 how do you set the navigation up .
Hello I just bought a 2018 Cruze sedan. The only way I figured out how to do the navigation is by using a USB CABLE. I had to have Android auto installed then it worked. Not sure how if you have a Apple. Good luck.
There is no navigation in the instrument cluster. It simply tells if your heading NSEW That’s what huge screen is for you know usb smart phone
Yea the battery is in the truck on the sedans too
can you send me a link for the cold air intake
aem.com
What kind of intake?
AEM
Is this the premier or the LT.
my 2019 LT touch screen looks so different 😭
I have a LT RS Redline edition
I think gm changed up the styling of the stereo in 19
Does it look like the premier style?
The 2019 Cruze got an upgraded Chevy Infotainment 3 system; it's an upgrade over the older Chevy MyLink system used in the 2016-2018 models. It's so improved, I guess, they changed the name along with the GUI. :D
I have a 2019 and I think the main difference the addition of android auto and apple carplay
It's too bad Chevy killed off the cruze... The second gen cruze had so many improvements over the first and the lines on the hatchback was super sporty .
I agree!
I can't agree more. It's actually one of the best cars Chevy made in the last 20 years and better than the competition IMO. The amount of room, the quality for the price point, the gas mileage, the functionality of everything...all top notch. Got over 83k miles on my hatchback and I absolutely LOVE it.
I bought a special blanket to cover the whole backside of the interior with the back seats folded down and the amount of stuff I can put in that little thing is crazy. It's also the most comfortable and safest car I've ever driven in my life and I've been driving cars for 25 years.
Yes the battery is in the trunk in the sedan
what year is your cruze?
2018
I just find the lock future today but need one more step you don’t say you need to turn on that future and same setting you say but need to go to last one call passive door lock and turn on and another benefit to have battery in the back is battery life because they no have to deal to the heat to the engine the only think I hate is the auto start I wish they can make switch to turn off
The auto stop/start featured can sort-of be disabled by putting the gear selector in "L". Then, use the +/- button on top of the lever to put it in "L6" (the gear readout is in the LCD display within the gauge cluster). You can then drive the Cruze normally...without it stopping and starting every time you stop/go. Of course, the 2019 gained a switch that can turn it on and off without having to do the "L6" trick. I still say Chevy needs to retrofit all 2016-2018 Cruzes with that switch!
I agree! There should be a recall on them.
Yea I had to do that and it works
Chevy Cruze for the sedan also has battery in the back
It’s in the same location on the sedan
Yes it’s in the back on the sedan
Awesome, thank you for letting me know!
What year is your Cruze bro?
2018
is this cruze a 1.4 turbo as well?
Yes it is
I own a 16 Cruze sedan and the battery is in the trunk to
Nice Cruze, I have a black Cruze Hatchback LT ever thought about led head lights
I have some for the Cruze that I put on last month!
A year and a half and you never heard your horn honk?
LMAO
Sedan also in the back
I don't think our definition of cool is the same.
On my 2014 cruze LT 1.4 L THE BATTERY IS WITH the engine
Sedan battery is in the back too
The battery is in the trunk in the sedan too
Awesome!
battery in Sadan in under hood
Awesome, thank you for letting me know!
Your Cruze ticks hell of a lot more then mine cause mine barely even ticks
Mine ticks like crazy to. It’s just normal valve tick. Cruzes are prone to this annoyance lol
@@deresolute1061 well after I did valves the tick went away
@@nathaniellarocque7809 Did you have the valves done or just tighten them?
@@donaldfinney5870 I have aftermarket valve springs and also use royal purple oil
I tint my tail lights so they work less
😂
This is mostly on any new Chevy. But I did downgrade to this exact Cruze and enjoy it.
There’s a Chevy logo in the headlight.
I just looked!
In my 2018 Cruze LT Sedan the battery is in the front. But in my old 2008 Cobalt LT Sedan it was in the back..I really liked that feature because it kept the battery clean.
No it's not...the battery on a 2018 LT sedan is in the trunk.
@@dw6155 I may not know much about cars...but I know what a battery looks like and it's under the hood.
Walk away feature dose not work with my cruze. You lied OR did NOT research enough to let us know that is true. I followed the steps you prescribed and my car stays plain as it was the time drove it. . . . . Explanation?
is yours push to start?
