People are jamming, other peoples Wi-Fi on their cameras. So I’m looking into a system that records onto a disc or someplace besides cloud, with 24/7 recording. I have one Eufy camera that I put in my living room bay window to look out and it records 24 seven, and it says pet detection, human, or motion. And I love that I can put it up pull it up on the app and even if Wi-Fi goes down, it has a Sim card That records onto. This is an indoor camera and there’s a little silicone thing you can purchase that you pull off the tape strips, put it onto the glass and then push your UV camera head into it and you can move it slightly to angle down slightly, but it mostly see straight. So I record right through my window with the night vision turned off because obviously the red lights will reflect on the glass unless you have some other type of outdoor lighting. If you have a street light, this will work if you have a light somewhere on the side of your house where you put this camera it it will work and record at night where you could see. It’s color vision day and night. The cord plugs right into the wall and you insert your Sim card. As long as you have a plug nearby or an extension cord, this will go anywhere and look outside! Only downfall is, you have to turn the volume off Because it will record inside of your house so your TV you talking whatever along with the sound outside the window it’s mounted on.
The reason I purchased this particular camera I saw it on Lifehacker UA-cam channel. This was perfect because the ring floodlight I have in my front yard has gaps in its recording. So I added this camera also to the window that looks out the same area so that I get all of this extra activity that the ring camera misses, which is a lot of activity in between recordings. And I like that this does not run on Wi-Fi. It runs on a disk inserted into the actual camera, but the app runs on Wi-Fi. So if your Wi-Fi is down, your unit is still recording. Yes you would have to go back and look after the fact, but if you’re not home, then there’s nothing you could do about it anyway except for sound and alarm that you may have installed in your home.
I want to know more about the outdoor Eufy camera. I’m looking for an outdoor camera with a light that records onto a desk 24 seven without Wi-Fi. But I could use Wi-Fi for the app and if Wi-Fi is down the unit still records. I don’t want anything that is hardwired I’m looking for something that plugs into an outlet opposed to a junction box.
So what I’m wondering is if I have outdoor cameras that plug into an outlet and window inside cameras that look out like I explained above, how would this show up on Wi-Fi? Will they show up little square screens or do I have to purchase the hub?
Thank you for posting this video❤

      you're welcome.
as for power, keep in mind most the eufy cams use usb power, which means if you want to have them plugged in all the time you just need to make sure you have a waterproof connection. For us we do like the solar models.
one wired outdoor cam that is setup to be wired in maybe what you want to check out. It is 2K, continuous record option and uses an SD card. Keep in mind though it will revert to 1080p if you set up continuous record. Lifehackster has a really nice review - ua-cam.com/video/OPpbQnC5ODU/v-deo.htmlsi=wKtP29hsu1-ORsrw
For us, for continuous recording the eufy E330 kit is pretty good.Plus it is 4K. Yes it does use Wi-Fi but it has a separate channel to the homebase and you don't need to have an SD Card in each Cam since it records to the homebase. See our review - ua-cam.com/video/2MWA20a_SAk/v-deo.html
As for the tiny square question, not sure what you mean, the eufy app for us always shows whatever the camera records.
Another option is to look at Reolink, they have a larger range of wired outdoor cams with local recording capability.
