@johnshaft5613 I totally understand that. Especially since they sent it to me for free. However, they really are just that great. They're so much more user-friendly than all of the other ones I've worked with.
Nice tutorial..only thing I'd do different is when you run the power cable from the solar panel, id run the cable down past the camera then come up..making a U shape to allow rain to drip off so water doesnt channel down to the power connection. No connection is water-tight forever, and the U loop will help the seal from getting prematurely worn
I only wish Eufy sold the mounting bracket separately as then you could move the camera around much easier if you wanted to. I have fixed Amcrest cameras around the house with NVR for general recording, and a Eufy doorbell and S360, which is great for getting live alerts. I love the way the 360 tracks it’s motion. Also a corner bracket would be good live a V bracket.
@@papawsgaming8762 I like how the plastic one works, with its simple click in, no fuss, so kind of think it would be good if I could purchase another one separately, the camera is generally not moved, but would be nice to be able to do it from time to time, as I use fixed cameras for security and only really use this one for notifications. More I just think it’s odd you can purchase other items separately just not the mounting bracket it comes with.

@@darrenstettner5381 it depends on the carrier and how much data you want it to have. Many are right around $25/month for unlimited data (data only sim card)
@@GrantButler Oh wow! $25 a month seems like a lot. I was thinking it would be cheaper than app subscriptions. Thanks for the information and good luck with your channel.
@darrenstettner5381 it can be cheaper. It just depends on the carrier that you choose. You can find super cheap ones, you'll just be limited on Data Usage
Yes you can power it by USB-C however you risk water ingress because there's a rubber seal on the cable from the solar panel. Also, it doesn't have a magnetic Mount option however I'm sure you could fashion something. Just keep in mind that it is a little weighty
@@GrantButler One more question. I live rural and have spotty wifi. Can I set this up to run off wifi and have the cellular plan as a back up or is one or the other? I ordered the camera and it is supposed to be delivered today.
If I have multiple Eufy 4g LTE cam 330's can they all work off of the same mobile plan? Or do I need a different mobile plan for each of them? If so, that would get pretty pricey.
@@GrantButler Would you recommend this (or multiple) for an apartment building? I manage a building and am trying to find a whole building solution. 4 cameras maybe, one in the front, one on each side and one in the back.
@JoeRussellProductions this would be a "good" option, but because it doesn't record 24/7 I would be concerned about what it doesn't pick up because these will only record if something happens within 25ft of the camera. For your situation, I'd recommend the "e330 professional" 4cam setup. If you don't have internet, you can tap into it. You can connect 1 Hotspot to the homebase for all 4 cameras. Great video and really love what you showed with the app it would have been even better if you’d shown examples of playing back videos and more info about the storage. I had a different brand camera with a really poor quality app that would crash every time I tried to view recorded footage and then it wouldn’t show what videos you’d watched. You also couldn’t delete videos from the app. It was so limited it was useless now I’m concerned about buying another camera with app problems and major limitations. Have you been able to easily watch footage? Can you delete watched videos individually? Can you save videos? Is there a cloud service also available for storage or is it only the memory card? How long did it take to fill up memory card? Does it automatically delete videos after a certain time frame? Would love to know these things. 😊
Most of the video clips from the camera I pulled from the storage. I have had almost no issues with the Eufy App. I actually have about 8 cameras from Eufy. You can believe me when I say they're great! The internal memory card is about 8gb and records about a month's worth of video. However, that depends on the amount of activity that occurs in front of the camera. You have full control to download & delete stored videos in the app. Playback speed and quality will depend on your network connection. Yes, it will automatically delete the oldest videos and continue recording. Let me know if you have more questions.

they need access to storage to save videos from the camera to your phone, mine asked for location permission, but I declined it, and its working fine for me.
