Hi. What is the distance range that can be used? since I want to monitor a room while I'm in the backyard.

the camera will be in the room and use your home WiFi so if the signal there is good the camera should be fine. now how good is your signal in the backyard for your phone to connect? worse case just use your phones cell service to pull up the wyze app. the camera will be accessible over the internet.
